Weeks before "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." even debuts, the House of Ideas is already looking ahead at its next small-screen endeavor.
But they're not looking much further than what they've already successfully accomplished, according to a report on Deadline that says Marvel's new TV series could very well be inspired by "Agent Carter"—the Hayley Atwell-starring short set to debut on the "Iron Man 3" Blu-ray.
The "Agent Carter" short premiered at Comic-Con earlier in the summer with massive approval from fans. Many began clamoring for more spinoffs featuring Atwell's hard-nosed agent, chronicling her life after the tragic loss of Steve Rogers.
Now, those fans might get their wish in the form of a TV series. Deadline writes that "the project is in very early stages, one of several in the works at Marvel, and is in the process of locking in a writer. It is unclear if Atwell would reprise her role."
An "Agent Carter" without Atwell simply does not work, so keep that in mind, Marvel. Otherwise, full speed ahead and give us more Peggy!
