Marvel has been slowly released a few longer interviews with the cast and show runners involved with a little show you might have heard of—"Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." Ring any bells? First they released an interview with Joss Whedon, then continued with co-show-runners Jed Whedon and Maurissa Tancharoen. Now, they've moved on to the cast of the show, starting with Agent Jemma Simmons herself, Elizabeth Henstridge. Lorraine Cink, host of the Marvel web-series "The Watcher," sat down with Henstridge for a one-on-one chat, in which the actress revealed the length of Joss Whedon's long-term plans.
"He's got an arc of every single character, and he's got so many places that he wants them all to go, and he's got loads of back stories for them," revealed Henstridge. "It's so nice to work with someone that's so invested in that way. All the team is like that. They really care about the characters, and every now and again you'll get a tidbit of, 'So, a few years down the line this might happen.'" Whedon was notorious for plotting out events seasons in advance over on Buffy, where throwaway lines in season 3 ended up having major ramifications in season 5, and it looks like he's being that meticulous with "S.H.I.E.L.D."
