Tune in to the 2012 MTV Movie Awards

Army of TwoIDW has made a major impact on the comic book industry through several licensed titles, including “Transformers,” “G.I. Joe," “Star Trek," “Ghostbusters," “Doctor Who” and “Angel” in addition to original properties like “30 Days of Night.” However, its latest move could be its most ambitious to date.

Video game developer Electronic Arts and IDW have announced a deal that will launch a new EA Comics imprint under IDW starting in January 2010. Under the deal, EA will assign and manage the creative teams, while IDW will handle the printing and distribution—both to comic shops and through digital channels.

MTV News has an exclusive preview of the first title, "Army of Two," from writer Peter Milligan (“X-Men,” “Human Target”) and artist Dexter Soy. Stellan SkarsgardStellan Skarsgard is the latest addition to the cast of the upcoming “Thor” movie, joining a stellar cast that includes Natalie Portman, Tom Hiddleston, Jaimie Alexander and Colm Feore.

According to Swedish news site Ystads Allehanda, Skarsgard—who is perhaps best known in America for his turn as Bootstrap Bill Turner in the “Pirates of the Caribbean” film series—confirmed the information in an interview with The Newspapers' Telegram Bureau. However, Skarsgård did not reveal which character he would be playing.

The “Green Lantern” feature film may soon be moving its beleaguered production to Mexico; which would negate the previously rumored shift to Louisiana.

According to Inside Film, the decision hasn’t been finalized yet. But if the production were to remain in Australia, it would cost an additional $20 million to make.

The site quotes an anonymous source allegedly connected with the studio as saying, “We still haven’t given up on ‘Green Lantern,' but the way the exchange rate is going up it’s looking more and more unlikely.” Read More...
