After a week of casting rumors and changes, an even bigger coup may give "X-Men: First Class" its main villain.
According to Deadline, Kevin Bacon is in talks to play the villain in "X-Men: First Class." Bacon has previously appeared in numerous films, including "Animal House," "Footloose," "Flatliners," "A Few Good Men," "Apollo 13" and "Mystic River." Bacon's long list of credits also led to the popular "Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon" game.
It's interesting to note that the report doesn't cite which villain Bacon would play in the film. In the original comics, Professor Xavier and Magneto went up against the Nazi war criminal Baron Strucker early in their careers, while Xavier also had encounters with Lucifer, who was eventually revealed as an alien invader.
