The MuppetsAuthor J.K. Rowling unveiled plans for her new Harry Potter mega-site "Pottermore" this week, and even though it's not open for business just yet, she is collecting email addresses and trending in the Twittersphere. Ande Parks and Antony Johnston had their own interpretations of her plans and tweeted accordingly.

Elsewhere, Brad Meltzer demanded great things from "The Muppets," now that the film's first trailer is out. See why, as well as how far along Mark Millar is with his "Supercrooks" script down below.

Cars 2Ever since "WALL·E" ended, the doors have been left wide open for serious, dark explanations behind the stories in Pixar films. A handful of Marvel creators speculated about the truth behind the "Cars" universe this morning, including how the automobiles reproduce and how their world came to be what it is as it exists now in "Cars 2."

Another follow-up film has been attracting stares on Twitter as well. The "Footloose" remake has an official trailer, and even Kevin Bacon may not be enough to get Marjorie Liu to see it. Her evaluation of the new film, Bill Amend's quest to improve his "StarCraft" skills and Brad Meltzer on what gets lost when he's translated into Spanish appear in today's retweet reel.

Super 8Even the tweets expressing dissatisfaction over J.J. Abrams' "Super 8" seem to come with conciliatory fondness for the director's homage to Steven Spielberg. Humberto Ramos became the latest to chime in last night, and though he didn't think Abrams achieved greatness, the film did make him happy.

Meanwhile at another screening, Adam Hughes got psyched to see the twentieth anniversary of "The Rocketeer" celebrated. Then there was Neil Gaiman, who's all giddy over an anniversary of his own. Find out what that is, as well as what Phil Hester thinks Andy Diggle is trying to pitch to Marvel and who fell victim to a a "Game of Thrones" spoiler down below.

DC ComicsAnyone sick of seeing tweets about "Game of Thrones" can rest easy for a while, because the first season ended last night, paving the way for Jon Favreau, Andy Diggle and Frank Tieri to twiddle their thumbs for a year and wait to see what happens next.

Meanwhile, "Green Lantern" inspired Bill Willingham to share a haiku with his followers, and Jim Lee provide some info about DC's policy on pants. Find out why that was important for Gene Ha, and check out who Michael Cho would like to see play Conan after the jump.

Green LanternCritical disputes rage on in the Twitter feed this week over "Green Lantern." Adam Hughes gave it a thumbs up, and Kody Chamberlain is stoked to see actor Nick Jones play John Stewart, but Chris Burnham has at least one big costume concern, and Mark Millar and Alejandro Arbona both sound a little scared.

Gail Simone, meanwhile, is still caught up on "Thor." Some of the tweets she contributed to a thread about the Son of Asgard's naughty bits may not be safe for work, but the one included below, as well as Ben McCool's reaction to "X-Men: First Class" and Rick Remender's thoughts on professionalism have been safely retweeted for your reading pleasure.

The WolverineThe big buzz topics of the week in comic filmdom certainly seem to be the arrival of "Green Lantern" and reports that James Mangold could direct "The Wolverine." Jim Lee and Mark Millar, respectively, tweeted their support for the two projects.

Meanwhile, pretty much anyone in Vancouver who wasn't already a hockey fan became much less of a hockey fan overnight. Kevin Smith congratulated the Bruins on their Stanley Cup win, but the riots that broke out in the Canucks' home city ignited a lot of condemnation last night. Click on down to find out who it irked and thoughts how Adam Hughes used the opportunity to defend nerds.

Joss StoneIt's been a dangerous week for singer Joss Stone and "Game of Thrones" star Sean Bean. Stone was the target of an alleged murder conspiracy, while Bean reportedly survived a street attack in London. Brian Lynch and Phil Noto commented on these topics, while Dan Slott reflected on seeing Spider-Man and Bill Clinton in the same room.

Check out how that felt, along with which creator thinks he should have been invited to a "Green Lantern" screening and why Brian Michael Bendis doesn't hate DC comics after the jump.

Spider-Man Turn Off The DarkComic book creator gender ratios are always a hot topic in the Twittersphere when they get discussed, and Gail Simone broached the subject last night with her followers. B. Clay Moore, Jeff Parker and Lea Hernandez contributed to the debate, which you can dive into in more detail through their respective accounts.

There was another debate going on as well, however, as the Republican presidential front-runners for 2012 talked about non-comics stuff on TV. Ron Marz on his Michele Bachmann dreams, Chris Weston on "Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark" and Stephen Colbert on his Disney aspirations ranked atop our list of favorite posts for the morning.

Duke Nukem ForeverThe world lost a a treasure this week with the passing of Mad Libs creator Leonard B. Stern. Joe Kelly, among others, expressed his thanks to the man, and we at the Report here echo those words.

On another surprising (yet decidedly more upbeat) note, "Duke Nukem Forever" actually appears to be coming out in a few days. Kieron Gillen was all about that on his account. Karl Kerschl, meanwhile, has been playing "Darksiders," a game which inspired to give a shout-out to Joe Madureira. Those posts and Jim Lee's defense of "Game of Thrones" to Bryan Hitch can be found down below.
