Tune in to the 2012 MTV Movie Awards

'Dragonball Evolution'We've been seeing quite a bit lately in terms of "Dragonball Evolution" hype -- most recently, a series of exclusive "Dragonball Evolution" clips right here on Splash Page -- in anticipation of the film's April 8 release. However, it looks like we'll be getting more pre-release marketing in the coming days... well, at least two more days worth.

According to SuperHeroHype, the intended April 8 release date for "Dragonball Evolution" has been pushed back two days, and will now hit the multiplex circuit on the following Friday, April 10. This means Goku and his crew will now face off against Seth Rogen's "Observe and Report" and "Hannah Montana: The Movie" at the box office. Read More...

As comic book fans, we've seen it all too often before; a studio picks up a property, claiming they want to keep faithful to the source material, then hands it over to screenwriters, a director and assorted gears in the "Hollywood Machine." In the end, what we're left with is a far cry from what we'd grown to love through our monthly funnybook fix. However, according to Eric Powell, that hasn't been the case with director/producer David Fincher and the upcoming animated adaptation of Powell's quirky horror series "The Goon."

"It was pretty thrilling to hear that he was interested in the comic," Powell told MTV News in an exclusive interview. "I had initial meetings with him and he got it. He got the comic. He understood the quirkiness of it and the atmosphere, and if we took that out, it wouldn’t be 'The Goon' anymore. That’s what really sold me on the idea of doing it as an animated film with him." 'X-Men Origins: Wolverine'If you've seen any of the "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" TV spots or "Wolverine" movie trailers over the past month (and really, they're kind of hard to miss these days), then you've seen the shots of Wolverine and Sabretooth fighting side-by-side throughout some of history's most pivotal wars.

Just to hammer the point home that the two borderline-feral mutants have seen their share of battles and bloodshed, Fox has released yet-another trailer, showing Wolverine and Sabretooth kickin' ass through the ages -- from the Civil War to WWII to the Vietnam conflict. And while you can check out the latest trailer after the jump, this one offers something extra: a link giving fans the chance to play as Wolverine in an online video game titled "Time Warriors." Seth RogenWhen your cinematic recipe for "The Green Hornet" involves a screenwriter/lead actor known mostly for his comedy chops, a gravity-defying Hong Kong action star, a French director whose films give new meaning to the term "avant-garde," and possibly Adam Sandler, clearly, it's a bit difficult to predict what type of flick you're going to serve up.

Heck, even Seth Rogen doesn't seem to be too sure of what he's got himself into. Read More...

'David Hasselhoff'That sound you hear? That's Marvel fandom, still applauding the recent news that Samuel L. Jackson will be appearing as Nick Fury in an unprecedented nine-movie deal with Marvel Films. But as we all know, Jackson came dangerously close to walking away from the "Iron Man" role that he's slowly becoming synonymous with in geek circles.

And while it would be damn-near impossible to replace him, at least we know the actor who played the role of Fury prior to Jackson stood ready and waiting in the wings.

"I know Nick Fury inside and out now, but I've already got my validation," David Hasselhoff told MTV News. The former "Knight Rider" actor, who played the super-spy in 1998's "Nick Fury: Agent of SHIELD" had quite a bit to say about both his time as the cigar-chomping SHIELD chief, as well as his successor. 'Astro Boy'It looks as though the folks over at Summit Entertainment are going full-throttle with the "Astro Boy" hype machine this week, as not even 24 hours have passed since we debuted an exclusive first look at the new "Astro Boy" one-sheet promo poster, and now we see an all-new teaser trailer for the film pop up over on Hulu.

While this certainly isn't the first time we've seen Astro Boy in action, it is the first time we get to hear his voice (Freddie Highmore) and catch a glimpse of the film's other characters -- like Dr. Tenma and Cora-- come to life. (Check out the new trailer after the jump.) Read More...

'Astro Boy'If you've been paying attention to Splash Page over the past few months, then you're well aware that we always seem to perk up a bit when any news regarding the CGI-animated adventure "Astro Boy" finds its way over to us. 'Tintin'A couple of weeks back, we brought you the report that acclaimed director Steven Spielberg had finished a month of "performance-capture shooting" for "The Adventures of Tintin: Secret of the Unicorn," and was shipping his work off to his partner (but not "co-director") on the project, Peter Jackson (he of the "Lord of the Rings" trilogy fame). Yet while a Spielberg/Jackson team-up could basically be considered "geek crack," the question remains: how do two insanely-acclaimed directors work together on such a project, not to mention the fact that their home-bases are literally half a world away?

Those questions were answered today in a rather informative piece in the Los Angeles Times, which looked at the process of filming the first in a planned series of three films based on the classic European comics character, and also updated fans anxiously anticipating Tintin et Milou's big-screen debut on the status of the film. Clearly, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" star Ryan Reynolds has at least one thing in common with his character, Deadpool: Once he starts talking, it's nearly impossible to get him to stop!

Not that we're complaining, of course, after dropping the news that the creepy-looking mystery mutant in the final "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" trailer was indeed him (i.e., Deadpool), Reynolds went on to discuss the importance of the character, his origin story in the film, and his desire to play the role of the "Merc with a Mouth" for years now.

"To be able to [play the part of Deadpool] in 'Wolverine' is incredible, you know, and it really does trace the origins of the character Deadpool," said Reynolds. "You really see his birth, his evolution from Wade Wilson to Deadpool, and really he is more or less the creature that becomes Deadpool later on, but we see his humble beginnings." Read More...
