Demi LovatoIs Demi Lovato one of Earth's mightiest heroes? According to a new rumor, she just might be.

The "Camp Rock" actress and teen singer recently made headlines for checking into a rehab facility for emotional issues in the middle of a tour with the Jonas Brothers, and now she's making headlines for an entirely different reason. A new report suggests that Lovato is going to add some superhero status to her growing resume as a cast member in "The Avengers."

The rumor comes from a Radar Online report centering on Lovato's recent holiday break from rehab. The report concludes with a matter of fact declaration: "RadarOnline.com has learned Demi is up for a role in the new 'Avengers' movie that will start shooting April 1." Read More...

Emma StoneConsidering that she's playing Peter Parker's ill-fated first girlfriend Gwen Stacy, many fans have already prepared themselves for the possibility that Emma Stone won't survive the "Spider-Man" reboot.

But if you're already in the midst of scribbling out Gwen's obituary, perhaps your suspicions are a bit premature. During a recent appearance on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno (via Reelz Channel), the blonde actress indicated that she's going to appear in multiple "Spider-Man" movies.

"There's a few 'Spider-Men' [movies]," she told Leno. "So I may have to keep [my blonde hair] for a couple of years." Read More...

Javier BardemLadies and gentlemen, Javier Bardem is Superman!

Well, perhaps we should clarify that last sentence a bit, because if you're thinking that Bardem is about to saddle up as the Man of Steel in director Zack Snyder's forthcoming "Superman" reboot, you're in for a disappointment. Instead, Bardem has already scratched his superhero itch, portraying the classic DC Comics character in a 1989 episode of Spanish comedy series "El Dia Por Delante."

Check out the hilarious — not to mention embarrasing — footage of Bardem as Superman past the jump! Read More...

Andrew GarfieldAndrew Garfield is our new Peter Parker, but it's going to take some time before we get to see the British actor in full-on Spider-Man regalia — but with filming already underway, Garfield himself is already well accustomed to wearing Spidey's red and blue tights.

In an interview with The Guardian (via Comic Book Movie), Garfield revealed that he's already put on the Spider-Man suit multiple times, though he was careful not to divulge too much information about the new costume.

"I have," he exclaimed when asked if he's worn the Spider-Man suit yet. "I feel like a kid in my [pajamas]. I can only say how it feels and it feels pretty special. It feels like a dream [realized] and a fantasy [realized] and I don't take it lightly and feel very, very lucky that I get to wear spandex for the next few months!" Read More...

The AvengersWe've long known that Tony Stark, Steve Rogers and Thor would be joining forces to battle evil foes in "The Avengers," but the exact identity of those antagonists has remained unrevealed until now — well, possibly.

[UPDATE: SuperHeroHype has confirmed that the following report was the product of a research error by the newspaper.]

Ain't It Cool News points out a throwaway line in a recent report from The Albuquerque Journal that, if accurate, reveals who the bad guys are in "The Avengers." According to the report, Earth's mightiest heroes are going head to head with none other than the Skrulls and the Kree.

"'The Avengers' script will blend 'Iron Man,' 'Thor' and 'Captain America: The First Avenger' story lines as the Avengers battle with two alien races, the Skrulls and the Kree," the report states. Read More...

Almighty Thor"Thor" bursts into theaters in May of next year, but if you weren't exactly impressed by the recently released trailer for Kenneth Branagh's comic book adaptation, don't worry — there's another "Thor" film on the way.

But it's not Marvel's Thor that we're talking about. Instead, brace yourself for "The Almighty Thor," a mockbuster of epic proportions. It's the latest effort from The Asylum, a film studio that specializes in producing low-budget direct-to-video productions that are timed to coincide with major studio productions — in this case, "Thor."

Bleeding Cool and Dread Central have rundowns on "The Almighty Thor," as well as various photographs from the set. We've posted a few of our favorites below. Read More...

"The Walking Dead" is over for now, but we're already thinking about where the hit AMC series could go in season two. We're not the only ones, either, as several cast and crew members have started weighing in with their own theories about the future of the zombie apocalypse series.

"I want the audience to feel uncertain when they tune in," series director and showrunner Frank Darabont told AMC about the show's future in a video interview. "My hope is that if we're lucky enough to be in the long run on a show like this, we'll be able to make the stakes as high as we can as we go along. I think that's just going to make the viewing experience more compelling for the audience." Read More...
