With the animosity between Rick and Shane being put on the back burner after last week's whole ordeal, "Judge, Jury, Executioner" focuses mainly on resolving the problem that is Randal. Most of the group is adamant about killing the boy, before he has the chance to kill one of them, but Dale feels pretty strongly otherwise. Throughout the episode, Dale makes his rounds going to each and every member of the group, getting their opinions on the matter and trying to persuade them to reconsider. He argues not only for the sake of the boy, but also for the sake of the group's humanity. Yet, all hope seems lost for Randal as it becomes clear that everyone, besides Dale, wants him dead.

Consequently, someone gets offed in a big way. Although we've speculated about the possibility of a major character death for a while now, I think it's safe to say that none of us saw this death coming at all.

Captain America, Thor, Iron Man, Hulk — these are just some of the core Marvel heroes heading to "The Avengers" this summer. But though these characters (plus Hawkeye and Black Widow) make up some of Earth's Mightiest Heroes, they don't account for all of them. There are several other Avengers out there that Joss Whedon could have fit into the movie — but hey, that's what the sequel's for!

Keep reading for five more Marvel heroes we hope to see Whedon bring into the next "Avengers" movie.

The second official "Avengers" trailer hit the Internets earlier this week and if that didn’t convince you that this movie is worth waiting in line at midnight for, then I have no idea what will. But alas, since it’s the Internet, the naysayers and the cynics have conspired to cast doubt on the awesomeness that is "The Avengers." After watching the trailer, most people have fallen into one of two camps: on one side, there are the fanboys and girls who had their hearts and minds explode on seeing the team assembled in that John Woo-vian circling camera shot. On the other side, viewers remain skeptical of the imminent summer blockbuster’s trailer-by-numbers style (everything from the doom tones a la “Inception” to the mechanical space beasts a la “Transformers”).

Check out this week's edition of Talk Nerdy to join in on the conversation. Which side are you on? Do you agree with @pharesvswild and @ericditzian and think that you need to see a little more before you’re sold, or are you geeking out like @roundhoward and wiping away tears of joy? Either way, let’s all just hope that the dialogue is better than this previous time bomb.

Avengers, assemble! A giant robot alien lizard thing is taking over your movie!

Marvel's new "Avengers" trailer is, simply put, awesome. There are many parts in the trailer that stand out to fans of the franchise. We get a good look at Maria Hill, we see Thor as a captive, Iron Man owning Thor in battle, a first look at Stark Tower, and of course, The Hulk catching Iron Man as Iron Man looks to be headed for a pretty hard fall. Those are the scenes that have left fans in a mental shock, a state they will probably remain in until the film’s release.

What many fans have been waiting to see is the reveal of the aliens the Avengers crew will be pitted up against. The trailer doesn’t reveal the alien race the Avengers will be fighting, but it does have a big reveal at the very end. A giant alien/transformers like creature appears ready to battle the Avengers, which has left fans wondering: what the heck is that thing? Well, here are some possibilities…

DC Universe's latest original animated movie, "Justice League: Doom," is as close as you're going to get to watching a comic book. Batman, being the brilliant detective that he is, has created contingency plans for each member of the Justice League in case any of them either succumbs to mind control or turns evil for some reason. But when those plans fall into the wrong hands, it could spell the end for the super-powered super group and the entire world.

Loosely based on Mark Waid's "JLA: Tower of Babel," "Doom" is filled with wonderful little surprises that will excite comic book fans and non-comic book fans alike. The film itself is well-written and enjoyable throughout, with a plot that is both clear and concise. Not to mention the fact that it features some of the most awesome heroes DC has to offer: Superman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, The Flash, Martian Manhunter, Cyborg, and of course, Batman.

Clearly, there are many good reasons to watch this movie. Here are five of them.

The 100th issue of "The Darkness" arrives in stores today, and it has us thinking: when is Jackie Estacado getting his own movie? With two hit video games to date and 100 issues under his belt, Jackie's transition to the silver screen must be coming sooner rather than later.

For those who aren't aware, "The Darkness" is a series of ongoing Top Cow comic books that follow Jackie Estacado, a former hitman for the Franchetti Family mafia. On his 21st birthday, Jackie inherited the power of the Darkness, which has been passed down through the men in his family from generation to generation since the dawn of time. Being both a blessing and a curse, the Darkness is an ancient elemental force that grants its bearer access to an otherwordly dimension of pure darkness as well as power over the demonic entities that inhabit it.

Jackie Estacado himself is a vastly interesting character, often times playing the role of both the hero and the villain simultaneously. It would take a certain combination of machismo and charisma to successfully pull off the part. Here's a list of the five actors that we think would fit the bill perfectly.

Love him or hate him, you can't deny that Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson has been popping up practically everywhere as of late. Whether it be "Journey 2: The Mysterious Island," "G.I. Joe: Retaliation," or even the promos for the upcoming WrestleMania XXVIII, this widely recognized actor/wrestler isn't going away any time soon. It's no wonder then that MGM has been eyeing him for the role of Hercules in their newest blockbuster "Hercules: The Thracian War."

Variety reports the possible casting. Helming the project is director Brett Ratner, best known for his work on films such as "Tower Heist," "X-Men: The Last Stand" and both "Rush Hour" movies. The script, written by Ryan Condol, is an adaptation of 2008's "Hercules: The Thracian War" graphic novel, written by Steve Moore and released via Radical Publishing.

Peter Parker has a wide array of problems. Be they supervillain-related, teenage angst-related, or J. Jonah Jameson-related, the poor guy just can't seem to catch a break.

In this very first clip from "The Amazing Spider-Man," even Gwen Stacy's doorman proves problematic for the web-slinging superhero.

The newest "Amazing Spider-Man" trailer looks... well, amazing. It gives us a better feel for what the movie will be about and also what villain our friendly neighborhood Spider-Man will be up against this time around.

Die-hard fans have long been waiting for the one-armed Dr. Curt Connors to accidentally transform himself into the reptilian rogue known only as The Lizard. And if this movie does as well as we hope, it could mean we're in for a slew of new Spider-Man films in the next couple of years. Which means more awesome villains for Spidey to fight! Excelsior!

Here's my list of the top five Spider-Man villains that deserve some screen time.
