Iron Man 3

by Brett White

"Iron Man 3" has already dominated the box office overseas, shattering records and raking in over $307 million before even opening in the United States. The film's already claimed opening day records in Taiwan, the Philippines, and China.

But where will "Iron Man 3" land when the dust clears on Monday morning? Box Office Mojo's Ray Subers thinks that the threequel is on track for a $177 million opening weekend domestically, which would top "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2" and make it the second-highest opening ever. But what's keeping Tony Stark from taking the top spot?

Quicksilver Scarlet Witch

by Brett White

When Joss Whedon flat-out stated that he intended on including a "brother and sister act" in "The Avengers 2," it caused the entire comic book community to do a double-take. The most prominent brother and sister pair in Marvel Comics are Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch, two characters everyone pretty much assumed were tied up over at Fox since they are the children of Magneto and, you know... mutants. But apparently Fox's film rights to Marvel's mutants contain a loophole for longtime Avengers like Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch. And since the pair most likely aren't showing up in "X-Men: Days of Future Past" or "The Wolverine," Marvel is free to call dibs. Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige didn't deny the duo's inclusion in Whedon's first draft, either.

The sequel isn't due in theaters for another two years, so firm confirmation and casting is definitely a ways away (we have "Iron Man 3" to get through first!), but that doesn't mean I can't start wildly speculating. For this casting call, I'm looking only at actors that already work together for two reasons: 1. Pietro and Wanda Maximoff need to work off of each other effortlessly and casting them together makes sense; 2. This arbitrary limitation prohibits me from just listing all the usual suspects (sorry Connie Britton, who should be in literally everything).

Don Cheadle returns for another go as James Rhodes in "Iron Man 3", bringing Tony Stark's best friend to life both inside and outside of the suit. The actor spoke to MTV News about his on-screen chemistry with Robert Downey Jr. and how "Iron Man 3" is filled with more banter-iffic moments like those seen in the climax of "Iron Man 2."

"This was just more of it," says Cheadle, "more opportunity for us to bust each others' chops. Being the conscience for Tony is kind of what Rhodey provides, and Tony for Rhodey kind of provides someone who is trying to get him out of his shell, so to speak."

Man of Steel

by Brett White

"Man of Steel" posters have been few and far between, especially compared to "Iron Man 3" and "The Wolverine," two movies that have released enough posters to cover a college dorm room at least twice over. But thanks to Yahoo Movies, there's finally a "Man of Steel" poster that shows off Superman doing something.

The previous two posters have found Supes either cast in deep shadow or sporting handcuffs. This new poster, which shows Superman taking flight in a dynamic action pose, certainly reinforces the film's new exhilarating tone, first shown in the most recent and uplifting trailer. This is a poster for a superhero movie.

Iron Man

The latest issue of Entertainment Weekly is jam-packed with updates about all of Marvel's Phase Two films, just in time for the next phase's beginning in "Iron Man 3." The magazine, which boasts a cover containing "Iron Man 3" stars Robert Downey Jr. and Gwyneth Paltrow, claims that a source has confirmed that Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch are indeed in "The Avengers 2." The confirmation comes after last week's surprise mention of their possible involvement. Marvel Studio President Kevin Feige addressed the rumors.

"All of the Avengers from the first film will be back and they will be the core team, but what's fun is that the roster shifts. It was always the intention to have a story line that brought in, obviously, new bad guys and potentially new heroes. I'm not confirming nor denying [Scarlet Witch & Quicksilver], but the draft could change six months from now. If we're going to add new characters, there's going to be a major part of the movie." Even if he isn't confirming or denying, it sounds like Feige is at least half-confirming that they are in the current script.

You can check out the magazine's full cover, as well as new info about "Captain America: The Winter Soldier," below.

The Undertaking

by Ryan Rigley

With only a few episodes left this season, last night's episode of "Arrow" finally answers one burning question: "What happened to Walter Steele"? After being kidnapped in episode nine, Walter has been mysteriously M.I.A. throughout the entirety of this season. However, with a laptop that Oliver steals from a crooked accountant, Felicity is finally able to get a lead on Oliver's missing stepfather.

"The Undertaking" actually addresses a number of key questions raised in last week's episode. At Club Verdant, Laurel sits alone at the bar miserably sipping from a cup of horrible coffee as she mourns the end of her latest relationship. As Laurel reveals to Oliver that she and Tommy are now broken up, Oliver suggests that Laurel go talk to Tommy, something that he and Laurel never had the chance to do. Then Felicity shows up.

Mandarin

Robert Downey Jr. has become known for delivering performances that are equal parts charismatic and naturalistic; the man doesn't just portray characters, he embodies them. And after three outings as Tony Stark, the actor is no doubt incredibly comfortable in the role in "Iron Man 3." Some actors might find going toe-to-toe with the Downey in his element intimidating, but not Oscar winner Sir Ben Kingsley. No, the two of them hit it off magnificently. Kingsley talked to MTV News about working with Downey.

"Robert never strays off dialogue," says Kingsley. "His gift is to make the written word look utterly spontaneous. Very little, if anything, is thrown at the other actor that isn't in the script... I think [ Downey] calls [the script] the box, but you play inside it. You don't play outside of it."

Check out the full interview after the jump, and prepare yourself mentally for when "Iron Man 3" bursts onto the big screen this Friday, May 3rd.

Falcon

by Brett White

After debuting in the form of concept art, Captain America's ally Falcon has finally taken flight in the form of actor Anthony Mackie. And as the pictures show, it's not so much flight as being pulled backwards while pulling a total Wesley (very, very deep reference to "Angel" for all the Whedon-ites out there). The pictures come courtesy of WENN, who snapped the pictures while on the set of "Captain America: The Winter Solider. The photos can be checked out here.
