Red 2

The main characters in "Red 2" might have some major violations with the fashion police, but at least they're back and fighting fit. The first image from the upcoming movie has been released, and it shows Bruce Willis, John Malkovich and Mary-Louise Parker walking away from a dangerous situation. Their outfits are nothing to write home about, but their nonchalant attitude certainly is.

''All of those great Bond and Bourne movies you've seen, we go into that world and have those kind of set pieces. It's just our characters that are completely ludicrous,'' director Dean Parisot told Entertainment Weekly.

Bullet to the Head

There's nothing like celebrating the new year with a healthy dose of revenge. The upcoming Sylvester Stallone action flick "Bullet to the Head" comes out in a month and a half, and the new poster for the flick promises that its leading man isn't too old for a revenge movie.

Of course, we already knew that thanks to the two badass trailers released for the film. Still, it's nice to be reminded that "revenge never gets old," even if Stallone does. The new poster comes courtesy of IGN.

The Walking Dead

"The Walking Dead" might be gone until February 10, but it's certainly not forgotten. There are some exciting things happening in Robert Kirkman's zombie apocalypse universe that should help ease the wait until AMC's hit series returns in two months.

First up, AMC has revealed that all 18 episodes from seasons one and two of "The Walking Dead" will be converted into black and white. This news was first reported in The Walking Dead Magazine, but showrunner Glen Mazzara tweeted an image of the article to seemingly share his approval. Prior to this, only the pilot episode had been converted to black and white to successful results.

Justice League

Little to nothing is officially known about the "Justice League" movie Warner Bros. is planning beyond the fact that it is due out in 2015. That doesn't stop us from speculating, though, like we did with the rumor that Joseph Gordon-Levitt will play Batman in the movie.

The latest rumor to be making the rounds comes from Latino Review, a site which tends to be pretty spot-on with some of its scoops. They're reporting that the "Justice League" movie will be based on Gerry Conway's "Justice League of America" issues 183 to 185.

Joseph Gordon-Levitt

Is there more to that Joseph Gordon-Levitt in "Justice League" rumor than we initially thought? Though the actor's representatives have called the rumors "entirely false," Christopher Nolan has sort of implied that there could be some truth behind the story.

Of course, Nolan could just be messing with us as well. In a new interview with Movieline, "The Dark Knight Rises" director seemed to imply that there was something going on between Gordon-Levitt and the forthcoming ensemble DC superhero movie.

TDKR Avengers

Kevin Smith is about as opinionated a filmmaker as they come, and he isn't afraid to let his geek flag fly. As a longtime fan of comics, Smith is a logical person to ask which comic book film came out on top this year: "The Dark Knight Rises" or "The Avengers." Despite being a self-proclaimed DC junkie, the "Clerks" director couldn't resist the charms of Joss Whedon's ensemble Marvel film.

"I never imagined that I would love 'Avengers' more than 'Dark Knight Rises,'" he told The Playlist. "I never would have thought I would have liked 'Avengers' more than 'Dark Knight Rises' but I really did like 'Avengers' more. And I've watched them an equal amount of times. 'Avengers,' I'm not going to say it's the better movie, but it puts a smile on your face. It's magical cinema."

The Walking Dead

There are still two months to wait until "The Walking Dead" returns on AMC, but the cast and crew of the hit AMC show want to make sure we know what we are missing. A new teaser featurette for the second half of season three has been released, and it shows that fans have a lot in store for them when the series returns on February 10.

"The first half of the season, we established these two different worlds: The Governor and Rick and the Prison," showrunner Glen Mazzara said. "Now they have found out about each other and all I can say is, 'It's on.'"

Oblivion

We have little to go on when it comes to the upcoming Joseph Kosinski movie "Oblivion," but at least we now know that it will look pretty.

Universal has debuted the first poster for "Oblivion" via IGN, and it touts the headline "Earth is a memory worth fighting for." That doesn't tell us much about the film beyond what we already know, but the image on the poster does. Tom Cruise's Jack Harper stares up at a waterfall that has formed in between the wreckage of a major city, promising that this isn't a version of Earth that we've seen before.

Iron Man 3

Jon Favreau might not be directing "Iron Man 3" like he did its predecessors, but his presence will still be felt on this film. Not only will he be reprising his role as Happy Hogan in the new movie, he also helped new director Shane Black make sure this film keeps with the continuity of "Iron Man" and "Iron Man 2."

"I owe sort of a debt to [Jon] Favreau I have to carry on what he started without violating it -- at the same time bringing sort of my own enhancement if I can," Black admitted in an interview with Wired. "He's been helping me, giving me tips and advice along the way, so this is a guy who's been enormously generous with his time given that he's not directing. Still around, and still wants to be in it. He's just been so gracious that I can say nothing but good things about how helpful he's been. That said, yeah, it's going to look a little different."

Joss Whedon

This year was Joss Whedon's year to shine. There obviously was "The Avengers," which was a massive box office and critical success, but his little horror-comedy-that-could "Cabin in the Woods" was met with rave reviews and his take on "Much Ado About Nothing" was one of the darlings of the Toronto International Film Festival. Up next, he's working on a "S.H.I.E.L.D." TV show for ABC, a sequel to "The Avengers" and acting as a creative consultant for Marvel -- all good things for a man who not too long ago watched his TV shows leave the air after little more than one or two seasons.

In honor of what a great year he's had, Whedon has been honored by Entertainment Weekly as one of the magazine's Entertainers of the Year. EW caught up with Whedon not long after he submitted an outline for "The Avengers 2" to talk to him about what this seemingly overnight success has meant to him.
