Man of Steel

The marketing for "Man of Steel" continues to get better and better as we get closer to the movie's release date. Following yesterday's poster, a new TV spot has been released that teases Superman's journey in the upcoming movie.

Like the poster, the spot focuses on the titular Man of Steel's flight and how awesome it is. One shot in particular, where Superman zooms by and is followed by some government planes, is especially effective and foreboding. Trailers for "Man of Steel" have shown time and again that Superman doesn't have an easy time ingratiating himself with the US government after he comes out as a superhero, and that is definitely teased in this shot.

Avengers

Don't think that "Iron Man 3" will be the last you'll see of Tony Stark any time soon. During a new interview with Super Hero Hype, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige confirmed the character will be a "big part" of "The Avengers 2."

"We’re not developing 'Iron Man 4.' Currently, as you may imagine, Iron Man is a big part of 'Avengers 2' and that’s what we’re focusing on and what Joss [Whedon] is focusing on. So where we go after that remains to be seen, but certainly, 'Avengers 2' being the next appearance, the next storyline for Iron Man," Feige told Super Hero Hype.

"Ant-Man" is slated for a 2015 release, but it's going to need a makeover before then. Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige said in a new interview with Entertainment Weekly that the original "Ant-Man" script needs to be rewritten so it will match with the current Marvel Cinematic Universe continuity.

"Frankly, now we have to re-write it to put it a little bit more into the [Marvel Cinematic Universe] because it was written before it existed," Feige said, via Comic Book Movie. "We’ve talked about various names [to play the lead] over the past eight years but as you can imagine they keep changing as time goes by. But towards the end of this year, we’ll buckle down and start casting and start refining the script, which is great and which is very Edgar."

He continued to praise director Edgar Wright, saying, "He has done a great job being incredibly true to the comics but is putting his own spin on it, so we’ll be drawing on multiple mythologies for this one."

Man of Steel

Henry Cavill sure does look great in the Superman suit. Two new promotional images for Twizzler's "Man of Steel" campaign have hit the web and they show that Cavill has the look of Superman, even if he is promoting candy instead of super-punching bad guys.

Twizzler recently launched a "Man of Steel" contest slated to run from April 29 to July 7 that is open only to legal residents of Canada. The grand prize is a trip for four to Alaska. There will also be indoor/outdoor 72" inflatable theater kits doled out over the next 10 weeks for 10 lucky winners. One of the new images can be seen above, and the other lies just after the jump.

The Secret Service

With "Kick-Ass 2" aiming for a August 16 release date, yet another Mark Millar property is headed to the big screen. "The Secret Service" is in the works with a script written by Matthew Vaughn and Jane Goldman, and the film has reportedly already found its leading man.

According to Latino Review, Colin Firth is in talks for the lead role of Uncle Jack in the new movie. Keep in mind that this news isn't officially confirmed, but it seems pretty likely that it will pan out. The Hollywood Reporter is also backing up the report.

Iron Man 3

Here at MTV Splash Page, we like "Iron Man 3" a lot. Like, a lot a lot. We've been hyped for the project since long before the movie was even announced and have continued to be big supporters in the years since. With the Marvel film finally making its way to the big screen next Friday, we decided to take a look back at our coverage of the film since we first reported on it way back in 2008.

Yes, 2008, two years before the release of "Iron Man 2" in 2010. Even in the early days people were talking about the Mandarin being this movie's villain, and about how the story will act as a sequel to "The Avengers." It's interesting how many of the initial rumors and reports ended up coming true, and it might surprise you how much was known about the movie ahead of time.

Check out our timeline of coverage after the jump!

Red 2

After a week of character posters, the new trailer for "Red 2" has arrived. This new look at the upcoming movie shows the series' retired CIA agents stuck in even more extreme circumstances than they were in 2010's "Red."

This time that means they need to team up with Anthony Hopkins' character Edward Bailey, a man who has been locked in an insane asylum for 32 years. Hopkins plays the slightly unhinged man hilariously, especially when he refuses to accept how old he actually is.

Helen Mirren

Following the release of Bruce Willis and John Malkovich's "Red 2" character posters, it shouldn't come as a surprise to see these two new posters for Helen Mirren and Catherine Zeta-Jones pop up today. Unlike their male counterparts, these two actresses are seen lounging and looking glamorous while surrounded by guns and, in Mirren's case, dead bodies.

If we read too much into these posters, it seems like Frank Moses and Marvin Boggs have been enjoying the simpler life while Victoria and Miranda Wood have continued to live more exotic lifestyles. It will be interesting to see how they all team up after their time apart since the end of "Red," since we know "Red 2" is set in a variety of international locales. Check out both posters below.

Gwyneth Paltrow

Gwyneth Paltrow's time with the Marvel Cinematic Universe could be coming to an end. Like her costar Robert Downey Jr., Paltrow is only signed with Marvel until "Iron Man 3," which comes out on May 3.

"When they signed us, they signed us for three. So that's it for the moment, but you never know," she told Empire. As for her fourth appearance in "The Avengers," she added, "'The Avengers' happened late. It was Robert who said that Pepper has to be in this movie or it's just giant snakes coming out of the sky. We need one grounded beat. And to be totally honest, I haven't seen the movie. It's crazy. My son has seen it, but I haven't. I went out to New Mexico for a day and shot... actually, maybe it was one and a half. Anyway, it was very short."

Red

We're only days away from the release of the new trailer for "Red 2," and some new posters for the upcoming movie have been released in anticipation of that big event. Two posters featuring John Malkovich's Marvin Boggs and Bruce Willis' Frank Moses have made their way online that show the characters engaging in day-to-day activities while still looking like total badasses.

Frank walks through a supermarket holding a handgun and a basket of groceries, while Marvin walks through a field of sheep with an RPG in his backpack. This tongue-in-cheek style of marketing is exactly what we were hoping for in this new movie, and it looks like director Dean Parisot has provided. Check out both posters below.
