Arrow

February sweeps are coming, February sweeps are coming! This month's story arc on "Arrow" is going to be the best of the series, and a new extended trailer has proven just that. Want more of Oliver Queen's backstory on the island? Well, you're going to get it. Want him to finally confront his mother? You'll get that too.

You can check out the full trailer after the jump (it's a nice accompaniment to that sweeps poster), but for now we've got some other exciting news. ET is reporting that Emily Bett Rickards, the woman behind Felicity Smoak, has been upgraded to a series regular.

Roy Harper

Were those two new "Arrow" posters not enough for you? What about the news that The CW renewed "Arrow" for a second season? You still want more "Arrow" goodness?

Well, you're in luck: The Hollywood Reporter has the first look at "Teen Wolf" star Colton Haynes in the hit superhero series. He'll play pickpocket Roy Harper who, in the "Green Arrow" comics, becomes an ally of Oliver Queen. In the picture, Roy can be seen hanging out with Oliver's younger sister Thea, played by Willa Holland.

SHIELD

That's a wrap! Production has finally finished on the pilot of "S.H.I.E.L.D.," which means it's off to the editing bay for showrunners Maurissa Tancharoen and Jed Whedon.

Tancharoen announced the exciting news with the above picture on her Instagram. "That's a wrap. #SHIELD," she posted. It still will be a while before fans get to see this episode -- if they do at all -- because the show has yet to be officially picked up by ABC. We can't see the network passing on this, though, especially as we head into the Marvel Cinematic Universe: Phase 2. Fingers crossed this pilot will make its debut at Comic-Con regardless.

Arrow

Is Oliver Queen finally reaching his breaking point? Judging by the two new posters revealed for CW's "Arrow," it seems like Stephen Amell's character is heading for some trying times.

The first poster, which shows the titular Green Arrow sporting his iconic hood and arrows, was tweeted out by Marc Guggenheim. It features the tagline, "Those closest to you can hurt you the most," and was revealed on the same day that the "Arrow" crew was filming episode 18.

Days of Future Past

The majority of the previous "X-Men" cast members are lining up at the ready for "X-Men: Days of Future Past," but not everyone is on board just yet. Though actors from James McAvoy to Anna Paquin have announced their return, director Bryan Singer has revealed that the jury is still out on Halle Berry.

"I can't say. I don't know yet. And it's not necessarily a deal making aspect at all," Singer told MTV News in a recent interview. "I want to make sure it'll make sense. But I love working with her."

Spider-Man

Ah, the power of Twitter. Everyone from Jeff Wadlow to Bryan Singer have been tweeting teases from their upcoming movies, and director Marc Webb is the latest to get in on the action.

After pointing toward the inclusion of either Green Goblin or Venom (or both? Neither?) in a recent Twitpic, Webb has followed up that image with something a bit less spoilery. Today's picture features the tagline "#Dramamine" and seems to show an uncompleted set through a camera monitor.

Iron Man 3

Been wondering what it will look like when Iron Man faces off against the Mandarin in "Iron Man 3"? Or whether Tony Stark's Malibu mansion would get attacked (again) in the new movie? Well, you now seem to have your answer thanks to some newly released box art for LEGO Marvel Super Heroes sets.

The images were posted by the Eurobricks forums (via ComingSoon.net), and they show what look to be some of the more exciting moments of "Iron Man 3." Of course, they also could just be situations created for these LEGOs, but we prefer to assume the former.

Shawn Ashmore

There are about as many original "X-Men" cast members returning in "X-Men: Days of Future Past" as there are new ones, and that's something to be excited about. Shawn Ashmore -- one of the returning faces in the upcoming movie -- certainly is, and he explained in a new interview why he's looking forward to reprising his role as Iceman.

"When I heard it was 'Days of Future Past' I knew it was time travel, but the only time I ever really thought, ‘Oh, maybe I’m actually going to be a part of this' is when Bryan came back to direct. And that's just because we have a relationship and had worked together before," Ashmore told IGN. "I just thought, ‘Oh, maybe Bryan would want to bring back some of the people he worked with before.’ Before that I had no idea, and I didn’t theorize too much because that’s when you get your hopes up."

Amazing Spider-Man

"The Amazing Spider-Man 2" has finally started production, and it's officially been called... "The Amazing Spider-Man 2."

It's a bit of a disappointing choice, isn't it? There are so many other awesome "Spider-Man" titles out there that we'd figured director Marc Webb would have gotten a little creative. Since he didn't, we decided to do the heavy lifting for him. Here are some different names we would have gone with for the "Amazing Spider-Man" sequel:
