FROM NEWSROOM BLOG: Finally, with "Batman: Arkham Asylum," it looks like we may have our first-ever really great comic-book video game. And it’s about time!
We all know that the comic-books-to-movies game is a tricky one that is gotten wrong more often than right (”Catwoman,” “Daredevil,” “The Punisher”). Well, an even worse situation is the world of comic-books-to-video-games.
Whenever a comic-book movie hits theaters, the inevitable onslaught of action figures, lunchboxes, clothing, coffee mugs and computer games begins. Comic-book heroes are the perfect candidates to have great quality video-games made about them, and there’s an enormous array of great story lines, characters, weapons, gadgets, fighting styles and love interests to include in what should be awesome video games. But with the rush to get the games out in time to meet the movie release dates, the games are rarely as good as they could be (”Superman 64,” anyone?).

The movie studios messed up that franchise not once ... not twice ... but three times (once with Dolph Lundgren, then Thomas Jane and most recently with some guy called Ray Stevenson).
But then, on the other hand, we all know the $1 billion story of "The Dark Knight," not to mention "Iron Man," which totally revived Robert Downey Jr.'s career.

FROM NEWSROOM BLOG: The Comedian’s blood-splattered smiley-face pin is one of the most iconic symbols in the comic book world, so when I hosted the latest “Watchmen” edition of our hit MTV Movies show “Spoilers” last night at the Pacific Design Centre in Los Angeles (the special airs Saturday at 8 PM), I thought it would be a nice addition to my outfit.
After all, with the beautiful Kimmy Stolz co-hosting in a little green dress, I had to do a little something to hold my own — plus, I have to admit, wearing the Comedian’s pin appealed to my geek side.
However, as it turns out, the “Watchmen” pin is not exactly the easiest thing to find in L.A.
