Walking Dead

"The Walking Dead" ain't a Judas, as it'll prove to you in Sunday's new episode titled, appropriately enough, "I Ain't a Judas." But you could forgive the survivors living in the prison for casting suspicious glances at new inmates Michonne and Merle Dixon. Though the sword-swinging zombie-killer is nowhere to be found in these four new photos from the coming "Walking Dead" episode, Merle is all over the place, assault rifle in hand, safely behind the prison walls. Either he's officially part of the team, or he's taking matters into his own hands. Er, hand.

Wolverine

There's still no sign of "The Wolverine" trailer. But there are lots of signs of the Wolverine himself.

Yet another new photo from Fox's upcoming "Wolverine" film has hit the web courtesy of the movie's Facebook page. Once again, leading man Hugh Jackman gets the spotlight, along with a tagline that promises: "The past is always behind you, but the memories still remain."

True, true.

X-Men

Bryan Singer is feeling mighty confident in "X-Men: Days of Future Past," based on the rate he's been tossing out photos, casting announcements and other assorted teases onto the web. You might be sharing that confidence pretty soon — as soon as Comic-Con, in fact.

Singer's latest tweet from the set of "Days of Future Past" shows a set in its early stages of construction. It's an early design, but all signs point to the set in question being the underbelly of the X-Mansion. That question could very well get an answer soon, however, based on Singer's enigmatic tease about the summer's hottest convention.

The Dwight McCarthy mystery is officially over. Though the renegade photographer was played by Clive Owen in the first "Sin City," the upcoming sequel features the character with a new likeness, thanks to Josh Brolin. If you weren't convinced that Brolin was the right choice to take over the Dwight role, look no further than two photos Robert Rodriguez posted on his Twitter account over the weekend; it should be all the convincing you need.

sincitybrolin

Here's Rodriguez directing Brolin; how the actor is able to maintain such a badass demeanor with almost nothing physical to react to is beyond my comprehension, and precisely why he's a paid Hollywood star and I'm just a dude with a blog.

Below, you can see what the finished product of the scene will look like:

Guardians

The debate surrounding Jason Momoa used to be, "Who would win in a fight, Conan or Khal Drogo?" But it sounds like the actor might be making his Marvel, throwing an interstellar badass into that hypothetical match-up.

Latino Review reports that Momoa tested for the role of Drax the Destroyer in "Guardians of the Galaxy" this week. The audition reportedly went so well that Marvel has offered him the role of the green-skinned warrior, and Momoa's representatives are now negotiating with the House of Ideas to make the casting official.

Don't bother holding your breath for Dwayne Johnson as Lobo. According to the man himself, it isn't happening.

The Rock was attached to play the Main Man in a movie directed by "Journey 2: The Mysterious Island" helmer Brad Peyton, but we've heard nothing on that front since the summer of 2012. And according to Johnson, who spoke with MTV News at the junket for his new movie "Snitch," the radio-silence on his end is because "Lobo" is now off his radar.
