WatchmenIt was a holiday week in the U.S., but that didn't mean we were at a loss for comic book and movie news. Here are the week's top stories:

Megan FoxWhile this week ended on a somber note with the deaths of both Michael Jackson and Farrah Fawcett, there were a few positive notes in this week's headlines.

But that doesn't mean everything was rosy on the comic book movie front, though.

- In our top story of the week, Christian Bale expressed some doubt about the likelihood of seeing another Batman movie, depressing legions of Bat-fans everywhere.

- Even though other movie media outlets keep proclaiming that there's no interest in another "Unbreakable" movie, M. Night Shyamalan's comments regarding his interest in a sequel generated a lot of interest from readers, too -- to the tune of our second most popular story of the week!

- Bad news, guys -- Megan Fox will only have a cameo in "Jonah Hex." However, she will still be wearing that outfit.

... But wait, there's more!

Eliza DushkuA pair of leading ladies dominated this week's top stories, but a "Transformers" star's vocal stylings managed to find a place among the week's most popular posts, too. Here's how the last few days shook out:

DeadpoolIt was a big week on Splash Page for some of the most-anticipated upcoming films, so let's dispense with the normal introduction and get right to it, okay?

- Even though it was only posted yesterday evening, Ryan Reynolds' revelation (try to say that three times fast) that Deadpool will indeed be wearing his signature costume and be as scarred up as fans want him to be pulled in a massive number of readers this week. In fact, it was the week's top story by a big margin!

... But wait, there's more!

DeadpoolThis week started off with a bang, but quieted down to a more manageable insanity as the days passed -- but that's the way things usually go after the MTV Movie Awards. Here's how the week looked as far as top stories and most popular posts:

- When Ryan Reynolds talks about the characters he'd like to bring to a "Deadpool" solo movie, people perk up -- to the tune of the week's most popular post!

- Licensing Expo kicked off this week, and we got the first look at bunches of new logos and promotional material for the upcoming Marvel Studios movies, as well "Scott Pilgrim" and "Spider-Man 4"!

- Heath Ledger's win in the "Best Villain" category of the MTV Movie Awards was the lone bright spot in an awards show that saw bunches of comic book movies nominated, but only Ledger's performance taking home a Golden Popcorn. Read More...

The QuestionThe 2009 MTV Movie Awards are looming large, and you can catch them this Sunday at 9 PM EST. They'll be filled with all sorts of exclusive trailers, movie clips and appearances by the creators we just can't seem to go a day without mentioning here on Splash Page. (Ryan "Deadpool" Reynolds will be presenting an award, for example.) This year, there's also an unprecedented number of comic book movies nominated for awards -- so there's a lot to like about the show.

However, there's also a lot to like about this week's top posts! (I know, that was a horrible segue, but it gets us there.) Let's see how the week looked:

- Our "Out and Proud" list of superheroes who would oppose Proposition 8 was the top post of the week by far -- and prompted a lot of discussion (which is always cool).

- Our post on the fan-made "Green Lantern" trailer (and Nathan Fillion's endorsement of it) was also a popular item, even if it wasn't the real deal.

- Sam Raimi shared some thoughts with MTV News about Spider-Man villains in an exclusive chat.

... But wait, there's more!

Eminem as The JokerAnother weekend is here, and that means we have another breakdown of the week's top stories to send your way. Before we get into it, though, we just want to remind you that this weekend you can catch a hilarious interview with "Land of the Lost" stars Will Ferrell and Danny McBride, the broadcast premiere of the "BrĂ¼no" trailer, an exclusive clip of Brad Pitt in Quentin Tarantino's "Inglourious Basterds," the very first visit to the set of Russell Brand's "Get Him to the Greek" and much more Sunday at 11 PM EST on "Behind the Screen," MTV's movie show!

- Eminem's "Dark Knight"-inspired turn as the Joker dominated this week's headlines, and inspired some pretty active debates all around the 'Tubes.

- Marvel found its Loki -- but what about the official word on Thor? That question had readers clicking through in a big way this week.

- Sam Raimi talked "Spider-Man 4" with us, but seemed a bit uncertain about the return of his Mary Jane Watson.

... But wait, there's more!

YoungbloodIt was a slower week this time around, with no clear-cut theme for the week's top stories. Here's how the last few days broke down:

- Deadpool co-creator Rob Liefeld gave MTV News the scoop on the upcoming adaptation of his Image Comics series "Youngblood," sharing plot details, characters and even the new writing team! Not only

- We gave "Lost" fans a comprehensive roundup of where to find their favorite island inhabitants around the comics world now that Season Five is over.

- Kevin Smith dropped by to tell us about "Batman: the Widening Gyre" and why it won't get in the way of Batman and Robin's love affair.

... And we're not done with the list yet! Read More...

'Iron Man 2'It was a big week for your ever-lovin' Splash Page, folks. While the last few days have featured significantly less adamantium than a week ago, they haven't lost their edge when it comes to high-traffic stories for comic book movie fans.

Here's how the week looked:

- Sam Rockwell explained how his character in "Iron Man 2" will be changed from its comic book counterpart, and earned a nod as the most popular story of the week.

- Following close on Rockwell's heels, however, was the scoop we brought you before any other outlet on the InterWebs: Deadpool is officially on track to get his own solo movie!

... But wait, there's more!

'Wolverine'"The best there is at what he does," Wolverine filled the list of this week's top stories -- but that doesn't mean it was an all-mutant affair. Here's how the week looked:

- In a story that broke at the end of the week, Sweden placed some major restrictions on "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" due to the film's level of violence. Will it affect the premiere weekend for Logan and pals? We'll find out soon enough!

- A "Deadpool" musical? "Wolverine" actor Ryan Reynolds shared his thoughts on how best to bring Marvel's "Merc With The Mouth" into his own solo spin-off film.

- Want to catch up on your "Wolverine" history before (or after) the movie? Consider this list your Logan 101.

... But wait, there's more!
