RoopsterBluewater Productions has churned out plenty of comic books about familiar faces, with plans in the works for Michael Jackson and "Twilight" author Stephanie Meyer biography comics. But it's not an exclusively human party at Bluewater, as evidenced by a one particular rooster.

MTV News has the first look at "The Adventures of Roopster Roux," Bluewater's upcoming graphic novel adaptation of the popular children's book and audio series. Comedian Steve Harvey, best known as one of the Original Kings of Comedy, will lend his likeness as the comic book's narrator, a duty he performs with the books and audio tapes. Read More...

J.K. RowlingWith U.S. President Barack Obama, "Twilight" author Stephenie Meyer, multimedia icon Oprah Winfrey and King of Pop Michael Jackson each the subject of their own biography comic books, it should come as no surprise that "Harry Potter" author J.K. Bluewater Productions, whose line of "Political Power" and "Female Force" comics featured many of the aforementioned figures, revealed to Splash Page that Rowling will be the next subject of their popular line of biography comic books. Political Power: Ted KennedyEarlier today we brought you the news of an upcoming comic book biography of recently deceased senator Edward "Ted" Kennedy that was announced just prior to the politician's death yesterday.

While plans for the "Political Power: Ted Kennedy" comic were put into motion long before the Democratic leader's death, Kennedy's passing certainly casts a new light on the project.

Ted KennedyIn what now seems unfortunate timing, popular biography comic publisher Bluewater Productions announced the latest subject in its line of "Political Power" comics yesterday evening: Senator Edward "Ted" Kennedy. The Democratic senator and leader of one of the most powerful political families in U.S. history died just before midnight last night.

Bluewater's press release regarding "Political Power: Ted Kennedy" went wide only hours before Kennedy's death, stating that the "Lion of the Senate" would "roar as a new comic book biography" scheduled for release in November.

[UPDATE: Bluewater has provided an exclusive preview of "Political Power: Ted Kennedy" to Splash Page readers.]

"We are truly saddened for his families loss," Bluewater president Darren G. Davis told MTV News. "He was a true icon in American politics who was respected by his friends as well as his critics. The Ted Kennedy comic book has been in production since the 'Political Power' series was developed in March. The book is almost competed and of course we are going to have to make some edits due to today's events." Read More...
