'Arrow': 5 Best Green Lantern Team-Ups

There have been a number of huge DC character cameos throughout this season of "Arrow," but none of which have had anything to do with Oliver Queen's most trusted superhero partner: Hal Jordan, a.k.a. Green Lantern. However, with a recent statement from "Arrow" producer Marc Guggenheim, it seems like all of that is likely to change at some point in the not-too-distant future, starting with the Ferris Air jet logo from the "Green Lantern" film making an appearance in the season finale.

"I would never say never, it's certainly something that we've talked about," Guggenheim reveals in a recent interview with TV Guide. "As with all DC characters, we have to figure out a way for those characters to fit within our 'Arrow' universe, but when you consider the importance that Hal Jordan plays in the Green Arrow comics, it's certainly one of those names that we've discussed a great deal." Who Is The Most Successful Superhero Actor?

With Robert Downey Jr.'s contract renegotiations off to a start (not to mention every other Avenger as well... yikes!), a lot of talk is being made of just how integral Downey is to the Marvel franchise. To be honest, you're not going to get any argument about that here. Downey's commitment to the role, natural charisma, and superb acting chops all coalesced in 2008 to form the biggest surprise hero hit ever. Thanks to "Iron Man," the armored Avenger rocketed from Marvel's B-list all the way to the top. The guy is irreplaceable.

But is he the most successful superhero actor ever? To find out, I spent a lot of time on Box Office Mojo pulling data and making spreadsheets. I compiled a list of the top 10 most successful superhero actors, based on box office totals. There were a few requirements though:

» Actor has to have appeared in more than one film playing the same character
» Actor must have headlined at least one of those films
» Box office totals for films in which they made a cameo appearance were not included

So with all those rules out of the way, just how much is Robert Downey Jr. worth to Marvel and Disney?

What Are The X-Men Wearing In 'Days Of Future Past'?

Director Bryan Singer has really enjoyed keeping fans in the know as "X-Men: Days of Future Past" begins filming. So far he's been tweeting pictures of the cast as they undergo various costume fittings and special effects prep, showing off Professor X, Iceman, Storm, Kitty Pryde and Wolverine. Each image has offered looks ranging from a glimpse to a full-on display of what each character will possibly be wearing in the new film, and they're all rather... odd when you look at them together.

'Avengers 2' Casting Call: Quicksilver And Scarlet Witch

When Joss Whedon flat-out stated that he intended on including a "brother and sister act" in "The Avengers 2," it caused the entire comic book community to do a double-take. The most prominent brother and sister pair in Marvel Comics are Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch, two characters everyone pretty much assumed were tied up over at Fox since they are the children of Magneto and, you know... mutants. But apparently Fox's film rights to Marvel's mutants contain a loophole for longtime Avengers like Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch. And since the pair most likely aren't showing up in "X-Men: Days of Future Past" or "The Wolverine," Marvel is free to call dibs. Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige didn't deny the duo's inclusion in Whedon's first draft, either.

The sequel isn't due in theaters for another two years, so firm confirmation and casting is definitely a ways away (we have "Iron Man 3" to get through first!), but that doesn't mean I can't start wildly speculating. For this casting call, I'm looking only at actors that already work together for two reasons: 1. Pietro and Wanda Maximoff need to work off of each other effortlessly and casting them together makes sense; 2. This arbitrary limitation prohibits me from just listing all the usual suspects (sorry Connie Britton, who should be in literally everything).

FFNL: Casting 'Friday Night Lights' Actors As The 'Fantastic Four'

Word on the street today is that "Chronicle" duo Josh Trank and Michael B. Jordan are once again teaming up for a take on superheroes — and this time, it's Marvel's First Family. According to a report from The Wrap, the "Friday Night Lights" vet is in talks to star in Trank's "Fantastic Four" reboot as Johnny Storm, the Human Torch. This douses rumors of Noel Fisher getting the part and comes hot on the heels of Allison Williams being rumored for the part of Invisible Woman.

My fingers are crossed that this one works out, if only because every movie should star someone from "Friday Night Lights." Honestly, every movie should star everyone from "Friday Night Lights," especially "Fantastic Four."

'Iron Man 3': What To Watch Out For

You've already purchased your tickets for the midnight showing of "Iron Man 3," right? Of course you have. This is the first Marvel movie since last summer's "Marvel's the Avengers." 'Iron Man 3': 5 Villains That Will Never See The Silver Screen

With Tony Stark's latest and possibly greatest enemy, the Mandarin, making his big screen debut in the upcoming "Iron Man 3," it would appear as though comic book fans will finally be getting the Iron Man movie that they so rightfully deserve. Since his first appearance in the Marvel comic book universe, back in 1964, the Mandarin has proven himself to be Tony Stark's worst nightmare.

But while the Mandarin may be Iron Man's official arch nemesis, we've already been introduced to two of his lesser known enemies in the previous Iron Man films (Iron Monger and Whiplash). In fact, there are still a ton of other Iron Man enemies that will never see the silver screen, mostly because they're lame and/or boring and/or not threatening in the least. That being said, here's a list of five Iron Man villains that will most likely never exist within the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The Unicorn
Milos Masaryk is a former Soviet intelligence agent turned super villain. Donning a helmet equipped with powerful energy projectors (as seen above), Masaryk adopts the name "The Unicorn" after the energy beam that shoots from his forehead. Milos makes this list mostly because "The Unicorn" is quite possibly the least threatening name a super villain could ever ask for, second only to "The Butterfly."

'Iron Man 3': The Mandarin's Greatest Misdeeds

Sure, Robert Downey Jr. makes for a fantastic Tony Stark. But he's not the only reason we're excited for "Iron Man 3." Since the original "Iron Man" movie was released back in 2008, comic book fans have been clamoring for Stark's arch nemesis, the Mandarin, to make an appearance on the big screen.

Brought to life by the magnificent Sir Ben Kingsley, the Mandarin is without a doubt the deadliest threat that Iron Man has yet to come across. With more fire power than Obadiah Stane and Whiplash combined, Tony Stark is in for a rude awakening once the Mandarin plays his hand. That said, we here at MTV Splash Page thought it best to take a look back on all of the awful things that the Mandarin has done (or tried to do) to our world throughout the years.

'Iron Man 2': For Your Re-Consideration

Somewhere along the way, "Iron Man 2" got a bad rap. We're venturing heavily into personal opinion territory, here, so buckle your seat belts. To me it seems like the movie has inexplicably become shorthand for garbage, and I just don't see it. Yeah, I'm the target audience for a movie like "Iron Man 2," and I was hungry for more Marvel when the film came out in 2010. But I thoroughly enjoyed it, which apparently doesn't jive with the majority of comic book movie fans out there, who seemingly forget that actual superhero film garbage exists. "Iron Man 2" is not "Batman and Robin," people. It's not "Catwoman."

As a true believer in "Iron Man 2," I've assembled a diverse group of commentators to argue the film's case. There's too much hate for this movie online, so it's time to consider showing it some love. And with "Iron Man 3" just around the corner, what better time is there than now? Read on ahead for more Sam Rockwell praise than has possibly ever been compiled in one place on the internet.
