EXCLUSIVE: Aaron Eckhart Talks 'I, Frankenstein'

Aaron Eckhart is someone who I am always happy to see working. No matter what material he's working with, he always seems like he gives 100 percent to his work and is a complete professional. Therefore when Lionsgate announced that Eckhart would be their star in Stuart Beattie's "I, Frankenstein," adapted from Kevin Grevioux's graphic novel, I was pleased as punch.

When MTV News caught up with Eckhart recently during the press day for his latest film, "The Rum Diary," I asked him to give us a tease about what we can expect from him and the film.

Aaron Eckhart To Play Monster In 'I, Frankenstein'

Aaron EckhartAaron Eckhart is going to become a monster once again in Stuart Beattie's "I, Frankenstein." He will be playing Frankenstein's creature, Adam, in the adaptation of Kevin Grevioux's graphic novel.

"I, Frankenstein" has been described as a modern take on Mary Shelly's classic tale. The story follows Adam after he has survived to the present day, and he finds himself caught in a centuries old war between two immortal clans.

When Grevioux was previously talking about the actor he wanted to play Adam, he retrospectively described Eckhart to the letter.

Kevin Grevioux To Adapt 'The Pale Horsemen' As Writer And Director

'Pale Horsemen'If it feels like the announcement of Kevin Grevioux's "I, Frankenstein" graphic novel undergoing the movie treatment was only a few weeks ago, that's because it was -- and the hot streak is only getting hotter for the "Underworld" co-creator.

Variety reports that a film version of Grevioux's graphic novel "The Pale Horsemen" is being produced by Nehst Studios. Keeping it entirely within the family -- or, more accurately, within himself -- Grevioux will direct the film based on a self-penned script. Read More...

'I, Frankenstein'Kevin Grevioux is a jack of many trades. The screenwriter and actor from the "Underworld" films, Grevioux is also a comic book writer on titles such as "Adam: Legend of the Blue Marvel." Now, his latest "monster" of a comic book series is getting the film treatment.

Grevioux tells Shock Till You Drop that he'll be adapting his own upcoming Darkstorm Comics series "I, Frankenstein" into a big-screen adventure with "Underworld: Rise of the Lycans" director Patrick Tatopoulos behind the lens. Read More...
