'Y: The Last Man'Last week, we told you about some of the story details "Eagle Eye" director DJ Caruso offered up regarding his adaptation of Brian K. Vaughan's celebrated Vertigo series "Y: The Last Man." Along with discussing some of his casting choices for the film, Caruso confirmed that the story would lend itself to a multiple-film arc. In a new interview with Sci Fi Wire, Caruso shed a little more light on the first (and hopefully not last) film, including how he'd like to end the first chapter.

"I don't want to give away too much of the end, but I think basically, you know, Yorick and 355 will basically walk away and go off into the sunset, knowing that they're going to have to keep going on the run," said Caruso. "And you might sort of look up in the sky and realize that maybe Yorick is at that point, and he might not be the last man or he might be the last man, and that ... the journey and the continuing on the run is going to have to go from there." 'Lego Batman'The fine folks over at i09 have got their hands on a bevy -- yes, a bevy -- of "Lego Batman" screenshots and a video showing off what's most likely the opening video to the game. In addition to all of that, they also have some super-cool images of the various vehicles driven by the characters, including Catwoman's Cat-bike, a Joker-themed helicopter and delivery van (most likely for delivering various types of horribleness), and even some dangerously cute lil' contraptions driven by the megalomaniacal Mr. Freeze and murderer-for-hire, Killer Croc.

Just to remind all of you fans of Danish building block toys and the Caped Crusader, the game will be based in the comic book continuity rather than the lore established in "The Dark Knight," and there has been talk that there could also be a "Lego Batman"-inspired animated series sometime in the near future. Look for "Lego Batman" in stores next week on all of the major video game platforms.

After the jump, we show you one of our personal favorite screenshots of that adorable homicidal psycho, The Joker... Read More...

'Seth Green'Since Seth Green -- he of "Robot Chicken," "Family Guy," "Austin Powers," "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" -- is no stranger to geekdom, it should be of no surprise that he is a major fan of comics. He's got one of his own, but he also likes to read "Booster Gold" and "Common Grounds." That's why it would have been a dream come true if he could have had a part in "Watchmen" -- as a certain masked man.

"I would have tried to pull off Rorschach," Green said. (And he's not the only one -- both Jude Law and Simon Pegg also coveted the part.)

Then, looking down at himself, Green admitted, "But I probably don't have the height for it." What about special effects? "I can be 5'6" with lifts, so maybe."

What was it about Rorschach that he wanted to explore? Read More...

Billy Crudup as Dr. Manhattan in 'Watchmen'Despite the fact that working on a green screen while wearing a bulky motion capture suit shouldn't be comfortable for any actor or actress, for Billy Crudup, who stars as Dr. Manhattan in the upcoming "Watchmen" film, it was almost second nature.

"I look like a 40-year-old jackass, which is kind of what I am," joked Crudup.

However, despite the high-tech aspects of filming his character -- a glowing, blue-skinned, usually naked hero with god-like powers -- Crudup explained that not everything was filmed using sensory-depriving sets or wearing a bulky suit. "Just the Mars stuff," he said. "While it was a big portion of the story of the third part of the movie, it was only probably a couple weeks that we were on rocks and a big blue or green screen room. Most of it was on normal sets and me on a very strange motion capture sequence." Read More...

'Green Lantern'Last month, we posted some fanboy-friendly information about the script for the "Green Lantern" film, written by Marc Guggenheim, Michael Green and Greg Berlanti, who is also directing the film. COMICON recently spoke with Guggenheim about how the film is progressing, and received an update of sorts on the ring-bearing hero's big-screen debut.

"I will tell you it features Hal Jordan and is an incredibly faithful rendition of the character," said Guggenheim, who played it very, very safe with his status report, remarking that he had "sworn a blood oath of secrecy" regarding the film. Read More...

'The Dark Knight'Verizon Wireless, Glu Mobile and Warner Bros. have reached a deal to produce a video game based on "The Dark Knight" for Verizon Wireless customers. Video game and Bat-fans have been wondering why the wildly-successful film hadn't been giving the pixel-treatment for any of the major platforms, and the news that a video game will only be available on a mobile phone platform is surprising move to say the least.

The game itself will allow Verizon subscribers to don the cape and cowl of Batman as he confronts a reign of terror by a criminal mastermind known only as "The Joker." Players will have to fight The Joker's gang using Batman's arsenal of martial arts and high-tech weaponry, and also use stealth to strike fear into the hearts of criminals. According to the press release, "it will take every weapon in his arsenal in order to confront his most devious enemy yet."

Speak up, video game and comic fans -- was this a smart move on Warner Bros. part to make "Dark Knight" available on Verizon mobile phones only, or are you disappointed that there won't be a PS3 or Xbox 360 version? Discuss!

'Mortal Kombat Vs. DCU'For those of you out there who are counting the days until the release of the upcoming "Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe" video game (and really, what comic/video game fan out there worth their salt isn't?), one of the biggest questions left to be unanswered is, "What characters will be included?" Up until recently, Midway has remained tight-lipped, but over at Kotaku, a rumored list of playable heroes, villains and anti-heroes has been leaked, and there are some really big surprises in store for all you DC fans out there.

Brendan FraserBack in April at the NY Comic-Con, Brendan Fraser regaled us with the tale of suiting up as the Man of Steel when he auditioned for the Brett Ratner/J.J. Abrams "Superman" project-that-never-was. Now the folks at VoicesFromKrypton have a bit more with Fraser on the experience, where the actor talks about how he came this close to landing the role in Bryan Singer's "Superman Returns," and also discusses J.J. Abrams' script versus Singer's.

"I was so enthusiastic to do it, my teeth were sweating," recalls Fraser in the interview about his casting experience. "Are you kidding me? This is the Man of Steel! [But] it's still a roll of the dice my friend. And so I had to think about it hard. And during the time that I was thinking about it -- which took me all of 28 minutes -- it seems as if then the big monster studio machine and all the machinations behind it, all the cogs and wheels rolling, suddenly it went from an 'offer' to 'subject to a screen test' blah, blah, blah, 'subject to approval.' 'The Dark Knight'In order to prevent "The Dark Knight" from suffering an "out of sight, out of mind" fate come Academy Awards season, Warner Bros. recently announced plans to re-release the blockbuster film to theaters in January.

Earlier this month, we reported that "The Dark Knight" had become the top-grossing first-run film in IMAX theater history, and according to The Hollywood Reporter, the chain of giant-screen theaters will likely play host to the battle between Christian Bale's Batman and Heath Ledger's Joker once again.

In addition to keeping the project fresh on the minds of Academy Award voters, a re-release should give "The Dark Knight" the nudge it needs to surpass the $1 billion mark in worldwide gross. The film will still fall short of the $1.84 billion grossed by "Titanic," the highest-selling film of all time, but should further solidify the Christopher Nolan film's spot at #2 in worldwide movie sales.

Have you seen "The Dark Knight" in IMAX yet? Will a re-release make you more likely to do so? Let us know if you plan to take advantage of this sequel to Batman's latest run in theaters!

There's been quite a bit of debate as to whether or not Christopher Nolan's "The Dark Knight" was a thinly-veiled commentary on U.S. politics -- namely, that the Caped Crusader is a parallel to President Bush (a one-man vigilante who eschews laws for morals, is into wiretapping, and, shall we say, painful interrogation techniques?). However, in a recent interview with "Dark Knight" star Aaron Eckhart (who played definitely dead villain, Two-Face), that wasn't the director's intentions at all. Check out our video chat below, and then click here for more on this story.

Still not convinced that Nolan wasn't making political commentary? Or are fans just reading WAY too into the film? Comment below.
