Pride and Prejudice and ZombiesMarvel's graphic novel edition of "Pride and Prejudice" won't be the only Jane Austen-based work on comic-store shelves when Tony Lee's new project hits shelves March. Last week at Comic-Con, Del Rey and Random House announced the "Doctor Who" comics writer as their recruit to adapt "Pride and Prejudice and Zombies" to graphic novel form as well. Lee will be taking the assignment very seriously.

"It's a tough adaptation, because even though you think it's great because it's 'Pride and Prejudice' with zombies, but it's still 'Pride and Prejudice,' the writer told MTV News. "It's a very deep book full of scenes with women discussing marriage." Read more...

Stephen KingDel Ray Manga has acquired the comic and graphic novel rights to Stephen King and Peter Straub's 1984 horror title, "The Talisman." While the creative team who will be producing the monthly comic has not been announced yet, the series is set to hit shelves in late summer/early fall of 2009.

"The Talisman" follows Jack Sawyer, a teenager who must retrieve a magical Talisman in order to save his dying mother's life. However, in order to obtain the magical relic, he must travel back and forth between the real world and a horrifying landscape known as the "twinner." The original hardcover publication of the book spent an astounding 12 weeks at #1 on the New York Times best seller list, and a television series based on the property is in the works with Steven Spielberg and Kathleen Kennedy attached.
