Allow me a moment to delve into a bit of vanity here -- I love 'Super Friends' and I'm not even close to ashamed to admit it. If you were to ask me why, I honestly couldn't tell you, but nothing brings a smile to my otherwise expressionless face faster than the words "'Super Friends' Marathon."
And now I get to have a 'Super Friends' marathon whenever I darn well please, thanks to Warner Home Video's upcoming box set collecting volume 2 of the first season of the show. Following the adventures of Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman and The Wonder Twins, Zan and Jayna, DC Comics' premiere super-squad faced off against a bevy of dangers and supervillains, and along the way, offered up safety tips and magic tricks to Saturday morning viewers.
