EXCLUSIVE: Ben Templesmith's 'Black Sky' Teaser Trailer

Earlier this year, we gave you the first look at a set of images from "Black Sky," the upcoming illustrated film by "Welcome To Hoxford" and "Choker" creator (and "30 Days of Night" co-creator) Ben Templesmith. Described as a post-apocalyptic mix of "Band Of Brothers" and an H.P. Lovecraft horror tale, "Black Sky" is directed by Matt Pizzolo ("Godkiller") and produced by Halo-8 Entertainment, distributors of the "Grant Morrison: Talking With Gods" documentary.

Planned as both an illustrated film and a comic book, "Black Sky" will debut in early 2011 in both formats. The story is also an original tale by Templesmith, and not an existing comic given the illustrated film treatment. Read More...

EXCLUSIVE: 'Hack/Slash' To Get The Illustrated Film Treatment - Here's A Preview!

The fate of a live-action "Hack/Slash" movie might be a little uncertain right now (though the project reportedly snagged a new writer late last year), but Cassie Hack will make the jump to the animated world next year with an "illustrated film" based on Tim Seeley's comic book series.

Produced by Halo-8 Entertainment, the "Hack/Slash" illustrated film (it's not a "motion comic," I'm told) will be adapted and directed by award-winning filmmaker Matt Pizzolo, who previously produced Halo-8's popular "GodKiller" illustrated film. Halo-8 has provided Splash Page readers with the first peek at the "Hack/Slash" film, courtesy of a short teaser...

According to Halo-8, the "Hack/Slash" film will be based on the "My First Maniac" story arc published by Image Comics. Read More...

FIRST LOOK: Ben Templesmith's 'Black Sky' Comic And Illustrated Film

Back in April, we brought you the first word on "Black Sky," the upcoming comic and "illustrated film" project in the works from "Welcome to Hoxford" and "Choker" creator (and "30 Days of Night" co-creator) Ben Templesmith.

Today we have a trio of exclusive images from the project that debuted during the Halo-8 panel in Comic-Con.

Black Sky

Directed by Matt Pizzolo, "Black Sky" is a post-apocalyptic story described as "'Band of Brothers' vs. 'Cthulhu.'" Planned as both a comic and an illustrated film produced by Halo-8, "Black Sky" is expected to debut this Fall. Read More...
