Andrew GarfieldLet's get this out of the way up front: Andrew Garfield is not at liberty to divulge whether he has tried on his Spider-Man costume yet. Nor can he speak about story details for the Marc Webb-directed franchise reboot in which he stars.

He will, however, talk at length about how sorry he is to play coy on all this Spidey stuff. The 27-year-old Brit is that nice of a guy. Yet our conversation with Garfield represents his most in-depth public comments about the series since nabbing the role in July, as he delved into his fears about playing Peter Parker, what he learned about comic book movies from Heath Ledger, and the best advice he's received about the new job.

The occasion for the chat was MTV News' Thankful Week, for which we honored Garfield as the man we're most thankful for in 2010 (tune in later today for a Q&A with fellow "Spider-Man" star Emma Stone, who is the woman we're most thankful for this year). It's an honor that had the self-deprecating star laughingly reacting, "Wow, that's stupid!" Read More...

Still more than a year away from the premiere of "The Dark Knight Rises," Christopher Nolan's third Batman movie, there's not a lot we know for certain about the project at this point. We know Christian Bale will be back as Bruce Wayne, we know the title isn't "Batman 3" (as we'd been calling it), we know the Riddler won't be in it (but Tom Hardy probably will be), and we know it won't be filmed in 3-D.

And according to the film's star, he doesn't know much more than us when it comes to his next Batman adventure, either.

"If Chris maintains, then this will be the last one, and we have to up it," Bale told MTV News while promoting his new film "The Fighter." Read More...

These days, having the director of a film provide a commentary track on the DVD or Blu-Ray is nothing new, but what about a trailer?

Jon Favreau's "Cowboys & Aliens" trailer had the Internet buzzing last week, earning near-unanimous approval for the "Iron Man" filmmaker's adaptation of the Platinum Studios comic book. Given how well our first look at "Cowboys & Aliens" was received — and let's face it, how much we love everything with Favreau's name on it — MTV News sat down with the director in his L.A. editing studio to get a first-hand account of what went into the trailer for the 2011 film.

"This is new for me," laughed Favreau. "I'm already doing a commentary track on a movie that I'm in the middle of the director's cut." Read More...

Jeremy RennerJeremy Renner won't be making it home for Thanksgiving, but he's hardly complaining. He's currently hanging in Dubai with Tom Cruise as the duo shoots the next "Mission: Impossible." Such is life for this new Hollywood breakout star.

Following his Oscar-nominated turn in "The Hurt Locker," the 39-year-old actor nabbed that meaty role in "Mission," as well as the part of Hawkeye in "The Avengers." Impressive stuff.

That's why MTV News is honoring Renner as one of the people we're most thankful for in 2010. We recently chatted up the actor about "Mission: Impossible" and the projects on his plate these days, but we also dived a bit more deeply into "Avengers," as Renner discussed his ideas for Hawkeye and why he's been texting co-star Robert Downey Jr.

In fact, we started talking about "Avengers" almost as soon as Renner called us up from Dubai. "I was just texting with Downey before I called you," he said. Read More...

Green LanternThe "Green Lantern" trailer hit the 'net like a flaming green fist to the jaw this week, and now it seems like everyone has something to say about the first footage from Ryan Reynolds' debut as Hal Jordan.

Still, even after repeated viewings, there are a few elements you might have missed in the trailer. For example, did you see where the Star Sapphire symbol turned up? What about the explosive scene involving what may or may not be Parallax?

They're in there — you just need to know where to look. Read More...

The official announcement of the "Young Justice" animated series first hit the wire back in April, with Cartoon Network revealing plans to kick off the animated series featuring a team of young heroes from the DC universe during the 2010-2011 season. During this year's New York Comic Con, fans got their first look at the series, courtesy of a six-minute extended trailer that debuted during the show.

If you weren't able to catch the trailer during NYCC, don't worry — because now you can watch it exclusively here on Splash Page.

Premiering on November 26 at 7 PM Eastern, "Young Justice" will begin with a one-hour adventure. Read More...

Green LanternThe "Green Lantern" trailer has finally arrived, and whether you loved it or hated it, it's bound to be a big talking point over the next few days.

Personally, I'm still on the fence about Hal Jordan's arrival on the big screen next year, eagerly anticipating that first piece of footage that blows me away like the first trailer for "Iron Man" or "Batman Begins." We all know how great a "Green Lantern" movie could be, so the bar is set pretty high for Hal and the Green Lantern Corps.

However, that doesn't mean the first full "Green Lantern" trailer was lacking some impressive moments — quite the contrary, in fact.

Here are my five favorite moments from the new "Green Lantern" trailer, which you can watch in high-def at iTunes. In fact, if you haven't watched it yet, head on over there and see it for yourself, then come back and join the discussion. It's more fun that way. Read More...

The first "Green Lantern" trailer has finally hit the 'net, and just as expected, it contains a lot of elements that should spark discussion among fans and newcomers alike.

Just about half the trailer focuses on Hal Jordan before he receives the ring from dying alien Abin Sur, but the second half manages to cram in our first good looks at Sinestro and Hector Hammond (played by Mark Strong and Peter Sarsgaard, respectively), as well as a brief shot of Tomar-Re and the planet Oa. Grant MorrisonNot too long ago, I spoke to veteran comic book writer Grant Morrison about his upcoming movie "Sinatoro," a surreal, Hitchcock-influenced, psychedelic adventure that he's hard at work scripting.

After offering up all the details he could reveal about "Sinatoro," Morrison also shared a few updates on some of the other projects he's involved with these days, including the long-awaited adaptation of his "We3" miniseries, the recently announced "Joe The Barbarian" movie, and that mysterious BBC television series he's working on with "Push" director Paul McGuigan and actor Stephen Fry.

SinatoroAlready one of the most celebrated comic book authors in the industry, Grant Morrison seems to be popping up everywhere we look these days — from music videos and mysterious television projects to the focus of a new documentary about his life and career. He's also currently hard at work on the script for a live-action independent movie, "Sinatoro," with director Adam Egypt Mortimer.

Announced at this year's San Diego Comic-Con, "Sinatoro" tells the story of an amnesiac man who wakes after an auto accident in the middle of the desert and gets caught up in a beautiful girl's quest to rid her town of evil forces. According to the official plot synopsis, the film's hero encounters "the world's most dangerous gangster, a deranged astronaut, a drunken cowboy, and an army of hobos" on his journey through a nightmarish pop-culture landscape that only Morrison could create.

I spoke with Morrison and Mortimer about the project and the origins of "Sinatoro" to get a better idea of what we can expect when the celebrated, surreal vision of one of comics' greatest minds is turned to the live-action movie world. Read More...
