War is coming to the Prison in the second half of "The Walking Dead's" third season, and Rick Grimes was the one to bring it.
The latest trailer for the February 10 return of AMC's hit zombie series promises that Rick and the Governor will come face to face in the coming episodes. In fact, it does more than promise it: The trailer shows them meeting for what seems like the first time. "We have a lot to talk about," the Governor tells Rick in the scene.

You can't talk about comic books in the 1990s without talking about the founding of Image Comics: a handful of Marvel's most talented artists banded together, left the company, and started their own — and it remains one of the biggest powerhouses in comics to this day.
It makes sense then that somebody would want to turn the early days of Image into a movie some day. It just so happens that one of the key players involved, artist Rob Liefeld, was thinking this exact thing — so he wrote a screenplay all about it.

If you thought "The Walking Dead" was done killing off its characters following the major deaths in the first half of season three, then you don't know this show very well. Co-executive producer Greg Nictoro has flat out said in a new interview that a couple more main characters will get the axe -- maybe literally -- in the backhalf of this season.
“We’ve established a certain scenario on our show where nobody is safe -- and certainly in the back-half of our season, it doesn’t get easy for anybody,” he told The Hollywood Reporter. “We have the whole Woodbury community with the Governor [David Morrissey] and our principal cast. We’ll probably end our season minus a cast member or two."

Been missing "The Walking Dead"? Well, you are not alone. Fortunately the show's return is less than a month away, and a new promo has been released for its midseason return.
Interestingly enough, the trailer for episode nine, "The Suicide King," features something we haven't seen much of up until this point: Rick and Michonne working alongside one another. It seems like Rick will rely heavily on Michonne for advice when it comes to The Governor, but that could cause dissent within his group. Hopefully Rick's fractured mental state doesn't last too long, because he's got some big challenges ahead of him and needs to be a good leader to help his followers survive them.

When "The Walking Dead" returns to AMC on February 10, expect for things to pick up from right where they left off in the midseason finale. The Governor has betrayed Merle, captured Daryl and lost an eye, and has a desperate need for vengeance against Michonne, Rick and all the survivors at the Prison. Based on the new promo for episode nine of season three, titled "The Suicide King," those are going to be some of the lightest moments of the episode.

The Glen Mazzara era of "The Walking Dead" is coming to an end, as the showrunner will leave the series once post-production on season three is complete.
But AMC already has a new showrunner lined up: Scott Gimple, the supervising producer and writer who has been with "Walking Dead" since early in its second season.

When "The Walking Dead" returns, The Governor won't just be out for blood — he wants an eye for an eye.
A brand new poster for the back half of "Walking Dead" season three emerged online at TV Line today, depicting an unhinged Rick Grimes with the nefarious, one-eyed Governor lurking right over his shoulder. These two survivors have yet to meet, but judging by the poster, it won't be long before their worlds collide in bloody fashion.

This news shouldn't come as much of a surprise: "The Walking Dead" ended up being the most successful comic of 2012. The 100th issue that came out in July has topped the list of top-selling comics that Diamond Comics Distributors puts together annually.
The rest of the list was dominated by Marvel Entertainment's 12-issue "Avengers vs. X-Men" series, which took up eight of the 10 spots in the top 10. The only other non-Marvel mash-up title to grace Diamond's list was "The Amazing Spider-Man" issue 700, which marked a pretty major turning point for the Spider-Man storyline.

Bad things are coming in the back half of "The Walking Dead" season three, and we aren't just talking about the fact showrunner Glen Mazzara is leaving. With "Made to Suffer" ending on a pretty major cliffhanger, it seems safe to assume that things are going to get much worse before they get any better.
Chief among those problems is the Governor, who's lost an eye and his zombie daughter and gained a whole lot of rage. Robert Kirkman told Movieline that we're going to see a whole new side of the Woodbury leader in the upcoming episodes.
"We haven’t seen him activated to the extent that he’s going to be activated in the back half of the season," Kirkman said. "He's going to be much more engaged and a little bit more aware of the threat that the prison represents. He's going to be on the warpath."
