Between all of the new "Watchmen" movie images hitting the 'Net, massive billboards all over major US cities and our exclusive debut of the "Watchmen: Tales of the Black Freighter" trailer last week, it's been darn near impossible to ignore the upcoming release of Zack Snyder's live-action adaptation of Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons' groundbreaking graphic novel. And at this year's Toy Fair International, there was no shortage of "Watchmen"-themed merch to be found around every corner, too.

"The Dark Knight" is quickly carving out a place for itself among the most successful films of all time, so it's no surprise that toys based on the record-breaking, award-winning movie are still popping up and going strong at Toy Fair 2009.

Here's a photo of Mattel's "Fear Toxin" Batman that was released late last year.

Earlier today, we brought you a sneak peek at Hasbro's upcoming line of "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" movie toys, and now we have your first look at another line of action figures based on a much-anticipated 2009 film and making their debut at Toy Fair 2009: Bandai's line of "Dragonball Evolution" movie toys.

Not only did we get a peek at all seven characters in their 4-inch line of figures and a few of their 6-inch "Fast-Acting" figures (which punch and/or kick at super-fast speed), we also received a nice look at the 7-part build-a-figure Oozaru (Big Monkey) -- a character appearing in the film that, until now, has only been hinted at in interviews with the "Dragonball" cast.

Last week, we brought you some new images from "Astro Boy," Summit Entertainment's CGI-animated feature based on the popular anime/manga character. Today, Summit released a few more images from "Astro Boy," and even though some of them have been seen around the 'Net already, we thought we'd post some of the lesser-publicized images here, just in case you missed one or two of 'em.

Here's one of our favorites, featuring what looks to be one of the big robo-baddies Astro Boy goes up against in the movie:

Earlier this week, "Scott Pilgrim" fans were treated to their first look at Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Ramona Flowers, the object of the slacker hero's affections in the upcoming adaptation of Bryan Lee O'Malley's wildly successful series. Now "Scott Pilgrim vs. The World" director Edgar Wright has posted three more photos of the much-anticipated film's cast in character -- including a better look at Winstead as Ramona Flowers.

The new photos include a shot of Satya Bhabha as Matthew Patel, the first of Ramona's evil ex-boyfriends that Scott Pilgrim fights.

'Watchmen' Video GameFROM MULTIPLAYER: I got my first try at “Watchmen: The End is Nigh” recently, button-mashing my way through the download-only co-op brawler coming next month to the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. (Click here for a huge gallery of new "Watchmen" video game screenshots over at!)

It’s a brawler, the kind of game that doesn’t reveal its complexities without repeat, dedicated play. What I played was simple and straight-forward: I fought in the gentleman style of Nite Owl, using an electric shock gun and dashing martial arts moves. Then I fought as Rorschach, tumbling on the ground and bull-rushing opponents.

For “Watchmen” fans, it’s notable that this game is official. It’s a prequel to to graphic novel, occuring 10 years before the mid-80s era focused on by the movie and comic. The comic’s writer Alan Moore wasn’t involved (he’s not involved in next month’s movie, either), but the comic’s editor, Len Wein, wrote the script. The comic’s artist, Dave Gibbons, oversaw the creation of the comic-book style sequences that play between the game’s six chapters. The movie’s actors voice their characters — only Nite Owl and Rorschach are playable; whether Dr. Manhattan and the rest of the fiction’s core cast appear isn’t being shared with the press.

'Scott Pilgrim'Let the first looks begin at Edgar Wright’s cast for ‘Scott Pilgrim vs. the World’! Mary Elizabeth Winstead peeked over a copy of ‘Scott Pilgrim vs. the World’ Volume 2 yesterday on the director’s MySpace blog, giving the world a taste (or at least two eyes and a hairstyle) of what she will look like as delivery girl bombshell Ramona Flowers, the love interest of Michael Cera's title character, Scott Pilgrim.

It’s a fair presumption that this shot isn’t from the film, since she is in fact holding a copy of the original book. But that is definitely the world famous CN Tower in the background, which means they are in Toronto, Scott’s home in the story. (Read on for the full image.) Read More...

Fans anxiously awaiting the big screen debut of "Astro Boy" have been on a rollercoaster ride as of late, what with rumors of financial troubles at Imagi Entertainment (the studio producing the CGI animated film) and straight-up rejections from the hottest girl in the room, Scarlett Johansson. But since then, it seems like the folks at Imagi have been pulling out all the stops in the hopes to quell the jangled nerves of geeks everywhere with statements from the Imagi's U.S. President, Erin Corbett, and some sweet new images dropping on the web.

And those in attendance on Saturday night's Summit Entertainment panel at the New York Comic Con got to see a special sneak peak at a clip straight from the flick. Sorry folks, but recording devices were strictly prohibited at the event, but we've got good news -- managed to land even more stills from the film, and we've got 'em here. Check out Astro Boy taking a quick trip around Metro City below...

...and after the jump, we've got another one for ya, as well as a description of what we got to see at the panel. Read More...
