The Walking Dead

A new character will soon be joining the cast of "The Walking Dead." Hot off the heels of the season three finale -- and the news that David Morrissey's the Governor will be returning in season four as a series regular -- it's been announced that AMC is looking for an actor to play a new character named Roy Stark.

According to TVLine, AMC is looking to make "Roy Stark" a series regular as well. He is described as "a former army medic who is deeply haunted by his past -- pre- and post-zombie apocalypse. As a result, he’s a bit of a loner, although he maintains a charming/self-deprecating/confident public face." This would call for an actor in his early 30s to mid 40s.

Man of steel

by Brett White

Costume Craze has listed a costume from "Man of Steel" for the annual post-Easter Halloween costume rush (note: this is not a thing that happens). If you or your child want to dress up as the guy that throws down with Superman, then this General Zod costume is definitely for you. And if you just want something to absolutely terrify everyone with eyeballs, this mask is definitely for you. For those of you wishing to remain spoiler-free, you should know that the terrifying mask is not of actor Michael Shannon's face, but rather something that General Zod will apparently be wearing in "Man of Steel" - hopefully for a split second before taking it off and throwing it into space where human eyes can never again be tormented by it.

UPDATE: Images removed at the request of the studio.

What do you think of General Zod's new look? Let us know in the comments below or hit us up on Twitter!

The Walking Dead

If catching up on "The Walking Dead" is still far down on your to-do list or you still haven't had time to finish Sunday night's season finale, hold off on reading any further. The spoilers are lurking below and we want you to be careful. Venture ahead with caution...

"The Walking Dead" might have ended season three on an up note, but there's a lot left up in the air for season four. The Governor is still alive -- and will return next season as a series regular -- and the fate of the now much larger prison group is still undetermined. Expect things to get bad fast when "The Walking Dead" returns in October.

"The Governor is still out there,” co-executive producer Denise Huth told Entertainment Weekly. “The war is not over. Rick and our group here won the first round and scared him off."

Avengers

Apparently there's one team-up that's even more mighty than the Avengers themselves: that of Marvel and Shepperton Studios. The UK-based studio was home to the just-wrapped "Thor: The Dark World" and is gearing up to take "Guardians of the Galaxy" out of Earth's orbit. Screen Daily reports that the sequel to the biggest film not directed by James Cameron will make Pinewood-Shepperton its home starting in early 2014.

Man of Steel figures

by Brett White

An elite cabal of action figure sellers have come across the first assortment of "Man of Steel" figures and set their plan in motion: selling them on ebay! Okay, so that's not that nefarious of a plot. And the "elite cabal" business was probably hyperbole. Whatever the case, their actions have given us our first peek at the toy packaging and, yes, character bios for Superman, General Zod and Jor-El.

Each back story is pretty much what anyone with a basic knowledge of Superman would come up with. Superman's parents sent him away from the dying Krypton and he grew up in Smallville. General Zod was imprisoned in the phantom zone (surprisingly not capitalized). Jor-El is Superman's dad and, also, Russell Crowe. It all seems like harmless info, but there could be a turn of phrase that could be considered a spoiler depending on how deep your Superman knowledge runs and how cautious you are about spoilers. Your call, reader! Check out the toy packaging below.
