But just in case you missed it (or want to see it again), here's another look:

Yes, that's Wright himself providing the introduction to the new clip, folks — and after seeing Scott go toe-to-toe with skateboarder-turned-actor Lucas Lee, it's hard not to share the filmmaker's enthusiasm for the live-action "Scott Pilgrim" world he's created. Read More...

Scott PilgrimWay back in April 2009, we reported on the possibility of "Scott Pilgrim" action figures and various other items based on Edgar Wright's big-screen adaptation of Bryan Lee O'Malley's hit comic book series. Now it looks like we have our first look at some of the upcoming merch based on the "Scott Pilgrim" universe in the form of a pair of plush collectibles.

O'Malley gave fans a peek at two of the plushes — based on Scott Pilgrim and Ramona Flowers — on his Twitter account yesterday, courtesy of an image posted by Canadian comic book shop Strange Adventures. According to the shop's Twitter feed, the plushes will be available in late July, and are being manufactured by Mezco Toys.

Of course, the arrival of the "Scott Pilgrim" merch couldn't be better timed, given the premiere of the film in theaters August 13. Read More...

Earlier this month, we reported the news that "Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World" would receive some extra footage, courtesy of some reshoots ordered by director Edgar Wright. Calling the extra scenes "icing on the cake," Wright explained that some of the content originated with the upcoming sixth volume of Bryan Lee O'Malley's hit comic book series.

MTV News caught up with "Scott Pilgrim" actor Jason Schwartzman on the set of his HBO series "Bored To Death" to ask him about the reshoots.

"Yes, a little bit," responded Schwartzman when asked if he was involved in the scenes receiving some extra footage. Read More...

Even if the location for future Comic-Con International conventions is somewhat uncertain, you can be sure that this year's show will still attract a host of comic publishers and movie studios with high-profile projects to promote. One such project is "Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World," director Edgar Wright's live-action film based on Bryan Lee O'Malley's hit comic book series.

When MTV News caught up with "Scott Pilgrim" actor Jason Schwartzman on the set of his upcoming HBO series "Bored To Death," he informed us that he'll be making his first-ever trip to Comic-Con this year — and asked for some advice about how to handle the big show.

"I'm going to be doing some press for 'Scott Pilgrim' this summer," the actor told MTV News, "and going to go to Comic-Con, which I've never been to." Read More...

Scott PilgrimEdgar Wright's adaptation of Bryan Lee O'Malley's "Scott Pilgrim" is going back in front of the cameras, despite an extremely positive response from test screenings and high praise from his fellow filmmakers.

Earlier this week, Production Weekly reported that the cast and crew of "Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World" will return to Toronto for three days of pickup scenes.

"We are doing 3 days of pick ups," Wright confirmed to Collider. "And to be honest — I’m excited about it. It was my suggestion to the studio and the bits and pieces are all things that I want to tweak. Truth is, some of it, is because we have material from Vol 6 that is impossible to resist and so even after a nearly a year of editing — it’s going to be fun to put some icing on the cake." Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World"Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World" hits theaters August 18, and it's pretty safe to say that there are a lot of people out there with the day marked on their calendars, eagerly anticipating the premiere of Edgar Wright's adaptation of the hit Oni Press comic book series.

From "Scott Pilgrim" creator Bryan Lee O'Malley to comic and film creator Kevin Smith, there's been no shortage of people heaping compliments on the film ahead of its release — no small achievement, given that many questioned whether the books' kinetic, manga-influenced vibe could ever be properly translated to the big (or small) screen. But that's exactly what happened, and now Michael Cera is set to play slacker hero Scott Pilgrim as he faces off against the evil ex-lovers of his new girlfriend, Ramona Flowers (Mary Elizabeth Winstead).

While the cast is a veritable who's-who of young actors with serious cred in the geek scene, I managed to snag some time with one of the aforementioned evil exes as part of MTV's Summer Movie Preview Week to get some thoughts on the film and what we've seen of it so far. No stranger to comic book movies, Brandon Routh previously played the least-indie superhero of them all, Superman, before suiting up as Todd Ingram, the smug bassist with vegan superpowers who squares off against Scott in one of the story's biggest battles. Scott PilgrimFans of Bryan Lee O'Malley's "Scott Pilgrim" comic book series have been dissecting the new trailer obsessively since it premiered late last week, but when we first saw it, there were a few scenes ripped straight from the comic that really stuck out to us.

Sure, it's no surprise that director Edgar Wright seems to be paying the Oni Press series lots of respect in his adaptation, but how closely certain shots appeared to mirror their comics counterparts should be a nice bonus for fans. We've compiled our five favorite straight-from-comics moments from the trailer, and put them side-by-side (well, top-and-bottom, actually) for comparison.
