Yesterday, we told you about our visit to the new Tim Burton exhibit at New York's Museum of Modern Art, but just in case you haven't checked out our full photo gallery yet, you might want to do so — and this means you, comics fans. Among the many pieces of awesome art from films like "Pee-Wee's Big Adventure" and "Mars Attacks!" there are also a few pieces from Burton's "Batman" films and — here's the kicker — some art from Burton's never-made "Superman Lives" movie (famously set to star Nicolas Cage).

Check out this (slightly cropped) image of Brainiac from an unfilmed "Superman Lives" scene:

Pretty great, right? Check out the full-size Brainiac image, as well as another piece of "Superman Lives" art in our Tim Burton MoMA photo gallery.

Think about the career of Tim Burton for a little while, and it makes a lot of sense for his work to receive a special exhibition at New York's Museum of Modern Art. From "Pee-Wee's Big Adventure" and "Batman" to "The Nightmare Before Christmas," Burton's projects have always had a certain flair — and it's that unique element of his work that's receiving the spotlight in this new exhibit.

You can get an early peek at some highlights from the Tim Burton exhibit at MoMA (including some great, behind-the-scenes art from "Batman") by clicking on the photo below:

Kick-AssA quartet of new posters from "Kick-Ass," Matthew Vaughn's big-screen adaptation of Mark Millar and John Romita Jr.'s ultra-violent comic book series, have arrived online.

The four posters feature images of the film's costumed vigilantes: The Red Mist (played by Christopher Mintz-Plasse), Kick-Ass (Aaron Johnson), Hit Girl (Chloe Moretz) and Big Daddy (Nicolas Cage). Each character is poised on a rooftop, facing away from the camera, and the four posters form a skyline view when aligned.

"Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen" already arrived on DVD and Blu-Ray here in the U.S., but it looks like the Autobots are doing a bit of world-traveling these days to promote its release elsewhere. At least, that's what some images from Australia that recently popped up on the 'Net would seem to indicate.

Bumblebee was seen floating around in the general vicinity of the Sydney Opera House and Sydney Harbour Bride in the gallery of photos you can check out by clicking on the photo above. And while we're not entirely sure why he was out there, the people of Sydney should certainly feel safe knowing that they're safe from the menace of giant robots... for now.

Up"Up" hits DVD and Blu-Ray next week (November 10), and Disney/Pixar have released a ridiculously cool set of retro-styled posters to celebrate the film's debut on shelves.

Honestly, even if "Up" wasn't one of my favorite films of the year thus far, I'd want one of these posters on my wall—but it is, in fact, one of my contenders for best film of the year, so that makes 'em all the better. The retro style of the posters also reminds me of one of my favorite pieces of comic book promo art released in the last few years: IDW's propoganda-art poster for "All Hail Megatron" (which happens to be my current desktop background).

There are eight "Up" posters in all (though the one with the dogs is my favorite of the bunch), and you can check them all out after the jump. Read more...

Michael JacksonThe "Michael Jackson, King Of Pop" biography comic hitting shelves tomorrow has sold out in pre-release orders and is getting a new printing, according to publisher Bluewater Productions—and we have your first look at the new cover.

Scheduled to hit shelves the same day as the massive Jackson concert documentary "This Is It," Bluewater's "King of Pop" comic book promises to "trace Jackson’s rise as a musical prodigy with the Jackson 5 through his tragic passing in June."

The new printing of the book will feature a cover by Giuseppe Mazzola from Jackson’s official fan club, who also provides the foreword to the larger, 30-page edition of the book. Bluewater has provided Splash Page readers with the first look at the cover. Read more...

Activision revealed yet another new character joining the ranks of the upcoming "Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 2" downloadable content pack. Previously, the developer announced that psychotic symbiote Carnage would be available for download in the pack, along with former X-Men member Psylocke.

This time around, it's another mutant. Check out Cable's big debut in the video below:

There's no word yet on when the download pack will be available or how much it will cost, but you can feast your eyes on Psylocke's trailer after the jump, as well as some shots of Carnage in action. Read more...

"Astro Boy" arrives in theaters this Friday, and the studio tag-team behind it have begun releasing a variety of images from the film and new clips to whet fans' appetites for the adaptation of Osamu Tezuka's classic character.

The latest batch of shots and footage not only contains some cool images from the film, but it also features two of my favorite scenes in the film: Astro Boy's battle with a host of robot gladiators, and his showdown with a nasty, mammoth-sized 'bot in which he discovers that he has machine guns... in his butt. There's really not much to write after a headline like that, is there? Sure, you can offer the "why," "where" and "when," but it's almost better just to leave it at "Hugh Jackman and the Wolverine Blow-Up Doll" and move on. Trust me—that's the subject of the e-mail I received with the photo, and I'm stickin' with it.

Hugh Jackman and Wolverine

However, for those of you who do want to know why the "Wolverine" star was seen with what looks to be a large, blow-up (or possibly paper mache—I've never been the arts-and-crafts type) figure of his "X-Men" movie character, keep reading. I warn you, though: It's not as fun as the story you're imagining right now. Read more...

Logan's RunBack in May, Bluewater Productions announced plans to publish a comic book series based on the "Logan's Run," a series of science-fiction novels that unfolded in a dystopian society where population is controlled by euthanizing anyone over the age of 21.

Originally authored by William F. Nolan and George Clayton Johnson in 1967, the first novel spawned several sequels and spin-offs in various forms, including a comic book adaptation, a television series and a 1976 film starring Michael York. (Warner Brothers is currently planning a remake of the film directed by "Tron" director Joe Kosinski.) And in January, the "Logan's Run" universe will also have a comic book sequel, too. Read more...
