SHIELD Trolley

by Brett White

With both Comic-Con International and the television debut of "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." around the corner, it makes sense that the two would join forces in ways other than just a panel. But who would have thought that a partnership would have resulted in a total trolley car takeover?

Marvel unveiled their new advertising approach today, one that manages to creatively one-up the show's awesome billboards. Now when Comic-Con International attendees arrive in San Diego on July 18th, they'll be able to hop on board these S.H.I.E.L.D. sanctioned vehicles.

You can check out photos of the trolley cars after the jump. The "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." panel takes place on Friday, July 19th, and the show debuts Tuesdays this fall on ABC.

Director Bryan Singer's Twitter feed has picked up some steam lately, as "X-Men: Days of Future Past" continues shooting up in Canada. Just a few days ago, Singer revealed new mutant Quicksilver's exotic origins. Now Singer's tweeted a picture of a few X-Men visiting what he calls "the countryside."

A cropped version of the picture can be seen above, but hit the jump to check out the full tweet and photo.

Loki

by Brett White

When you're lucky enough to have Hot Toys make a figure bearing your likeness, you'll apparently take any opportunity to pose with it. We previously saw Clark Gregg meeting his Agent Coulson figure. Now, Hot Toys brings us pics of Loki meeting Loki.

Tom Hiddleston took some time while on the set of "Thor: The Dark World" to pose with his Loki figure, showing off just how accurately Hot Toys recreated the god of mischief's armor from "Marvel's the Avengers." But the photos, which you can check out below the jump, have us wondering if Loki's keeping the same look for the Thor sequel. He's wearing his old "Avengers" costume, which implies that he won't be getting a new look like his brother. Or maybe they just had the old suit around on set and utilized it for this photo op?

Hopefully Marvel Studios will stop releasing stills of creeptacular elves and give us a better look at Loki.

Spider-Man

With so much attention being placed on the changing "Amazing Spider-Man 2" cast, we've forgotten to check on director Marc Webb's Twitter feed for awesome set photos. Thankfully we checked in today, because it looks like the film has wrapped production!

While the pics don't shed any new light on Felicity Jones' mystery character, or show off the newly added Sarah Gadon, or even clarify what's going to happen to Shailene Woodley now that she's been cut from the film, the TwitPics (and TwitVideo!) capture the last few days of shooting in truly epic fashion. Seriously, the video of Andrew Garfield perched high atop Manhattan has to be seen to be believed. That's... that's a long way down, man...

We're gonna miss all these guys! Check out all of the tweets after the jump.

Captain America

by Brett White

Wherever "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" goes, The Plain Dealer will follow. Today's live blog covered scenes shot on the Cleveland-Fairview Park bridge, which happened to include Captain America hopping back on a motorcycle for the first time since "Captain America: The First Avenger."

Well, the Captain America costume at least. The picture below (after the jump) captures someone else sporting Steve Rogers' new look, but it's easily the best, most clear look we've had at the suit. So far we've only seen concept art and blurry set photos. The new duds are more in line with his "First Avenger" look, and the dark coloring makes it seem more stealthy than patriotic. That makes sense since Steve is now spending his 9 to 5 working for S.H.I.E.L.D.

Check out the photo below, and be sure to keep up with the daily coverage over at The Plain Dealer.

Cap Widow

Cleveland.com/The Plain Dealer is turning out to be to "Captain America: The Winter Solider" as Marc Webb's frequently ulpdated Twitter feed is to "The Amazing Spider-Man 2." The newspaper has daily updates on the film's shooting schedule that give us non-Clevelanders a taste of what it's like to be right next to Chris Evans and company.

We previously reported on the site's extensive coverage of an outdoors action scene, and today they've liveblogged a very different type of scene. I can firmly come down on the side of SPOILER with this news update, and it's one that has your trusty editor flipping out (in this scenario, I am your trust editor).

Hit the jump to jump right into SPOILERLAND.

We are officially within snikt-ing distance of "The Wolverine," this summer's X-Men offering that brings Hugh Jackman back for his second solo movie (and his sixth appearance overall) as the adamantium-laced Logan.

Wolverine

Just as Jackman's claw-popping mutant heads to Japan, three new photos from his upcoming journey have arrived online. The stills include a battle between a shirtless Logan and a fully armored Shingen Yashida, played by "The Last Samurai" and "Sunshine" badass Hiroyuki Sanada. Things aren't looking especially pleasant for either of these men.

It's about time you showed up, Michael Fassbender! Where've you been hiding? Bryan Singer's already tweeted pics of, like, all your friends, man! James McAvoy, Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult, even all those guys who graduated a while ago. Sheesh!

So we finally have a photo of Michael Fassbender on the set of "X-Men: Days of Future Past," most likely on the 1973 side of the story (check out those pants and ascot!). Check out the full picture and tweet below.

Dark Elves

by Brett White

With a November release date looming in the distance, "Thor: The Dark World" has started to ramp up its magical Asgardian promotion machine (powered by Marvel), with new photos joining those released last week. But whereas last week's photos focused more on Thor and his new, rugged look, these pictures focus on the dark citizens of the titular dark world.

We get another look at Malekith the Accursed (Christopher Eccleston) and an up close, look at a few of his Dark Elves. And they're quite possibly the creepiest things ever seen in a Marvel Comics film. Check out the photos after the jump, just make sure to erase these pictures from your mind immediately. Because, again, creepy.
