Marc Webb

by Brett White

Day 39 of "Amazing Spider-Man 2's" New York City shoot resulted in two Twitter pictures... and whatever footage was shot. The photos come courtesy of Marc Webb's Twitter account, which is a must-follow for everyone excited about the Spidey sequel. These pictures, though, actually feature director Marc Webb in the center of the action, demonstrating his vision for an audience consisting of producers Avi Arad and Matt Tolmach.

Comic Book Movie hypothesizes that Webb is standing in for Jamie Foxx and that this could be the scene where Max Dillon transforms into Electro. This isn't that far-fetched of an idea, and it sure looks like Webb is going through something in the first pic. The emotion!

Captain America

The Marvel Cinematic Universe: Phase One – Avengers Assembled Blu-ray box set, which contains every film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe to date, is coming out tomorrow and Marvel.com has released images of a few of the goodies found inside Captain America's file. The set comes with two replica Captain America trading cards, made famous in one of the most heart-wrenching scenes in "Marvel's the Avengers." But at least these cards come free of Coulson blood (or fake Coulson blood, actually).

Check out the trading card images below and be sure to peek at the rest of Cap's file over at Marvel.com, especially if you are as curious about Captain America's birthday as I was.

Arrow

Two new promo photos of Stephen Amell as Oliver Queen, the titular vigilante archer of the CW drama "Arrow," have been released by Entertainment Weekly. They show two distinct and conflicting sides of Amell; one depicts the actor wearing a shirt, and the other depicts the actor not wearing a shirt. Such is the duality of man! Check out the pictures below.

Spider-Man

Another day, another tweet from "The Amazing Spider-Man 2" director Marc Webb. This time things are a bit more artistic and spooky than revealing, setting this one apart from Webb's reveal of Colm Feore or the Osborn Security Posse Patrol. Check out the full tweet below.

Oscorp Security

by Brett White

"Amazing Spider-Man 2" director Marc Webb has posted another set photo from the sequel's Oscorp location, thus cementing the 35th day of shooting's place in Twitter's memory banks. The photo shows a group of Oscorp security guards and Cal McCrystal (in a to-be-determined role) just hangin' out on set, posing like Oscorp's official boy band. One thing's for sure: these guards appear to be a lot less armored up than their peers over at the Ravencroft Institute. In fact, we wouldn't mind hanging out with these guys. This is our first look at the sequel's Oscorp set, which looks fairly industrial and not unlike a prison in this one shot.

Wolverine Poster

by Brett White

As if there wasn't already enough news about "The Wolverine" today, what with the metric ton of new images just dropped on us, two new posters for the fast-approaching mutant movie have been released. They both show star Hugh Jackman in similar fits of neck-vein-popping rage, which is quite fitting for this decidedly darker take on Wolverine after 2009's "X-Men Origins: Wolverine."

Wolverine Mariko

We'll be getting out first look at footage from James Mangold's "The Wolverine" soon, but first comes a whole mess of new images and quotes to whet your appetite. The quotes come from Entertainment Weekly via Comic Book Movie, and feature director James Mangold touching on everything from Wolverine's supporting cast to his state of mind.

"He realizes everyone he loves dies, and his whole life is full of pain. So it's better that he just escapes. He can't die really. He just wants to get away from everything."

Spider-Man

People went ga-ga over Spider-Man's new costume, set to debut in "Amazing Spider-Man 2." The new costume is quite faithful to the source material, somehow managing to put the old super-accurate Sam Raimi-era costume to shame. But not so fast, new costume fans! The redesigned duds from the first film are apparently making at least a cameo in the new film.

Andrew Garfield's stunt double William Spencer has Tweeted a picture of him wearing the familiar costume on the set of "Amazing Spider-Man 2." Check out the picture below.

Amazing Spider-Man 2

The gang behind "The Amazing Spider-Man 2" are sure living it up on the set of the Ravencroft Institute. Director Marc Webb has been tweeting pictures from the fictional New York City-based super villain prison all week, including these of a room directory and actor Colm Feore. Now we have one more picture to add to our Ravencroft file: a close-up detail shot of a Ravencroft security guard, courtesy of Marc Webb's Twitter account.
