Bryan Singer Cerebro

by Brett White

Bryan Singer does a pretty good job of keeping fans up to date on the "X-Men: Days of Future Past" production schedule, tweeting out casting announcements and rad videos of Ian McKellen winking. His latest tweet gives fans a glimpse at we can only assume is an old friend: Cerebro.

The director himself is shown outside of a spherical set, which we assume is Cerebro (a.k.a. the spherical set). The set piece is monstrous, just the right size to help telepathic mutants make contact with any mutant mind on Earth. We can also assume that this is the original trilogy Cerebro and not the more low-tech version shown in "X-Men: First Class." Unless, of course, Professor X and friends have made some upgrades in the decade that's passed in-universe since the last film.

The IMP Awards has debuted a new Japanese poster for "The Wolverine," one that shows off Logan's dual nature. The only English word on the poster is "samurai," and judging from what I know about Wolverine, the other half probably shows "wild, animalistic killing monster prone to berserker rages." How accurate is that translation?

In addition to the new poster comes a new promo image of Wolverine squaring off against a ninja in the snow. The image reminds us that, yes, there will indeed be ninjas in this film, and that is cause for celebration.

Check out the new promo image and poster below!

Man of Steel

by Brett White

The promotion around "Man of Steel" is starting to heat up, with the Zack Snyder film's first TV spot debuting just a few days before this issue of Entertainment Weekly hit the stands. The issue seems heavy on the "Man of Steel" content, with Henry Cavill's Superman taking over the cover. The magazine also contains seven new photos from the upcoming film, including clear shots of General Zod and Perry White, and another two glimpses of Amy Adams as Lois Lane (including one where evil Kryptonian Faora is getting a bit too close).

Check out all of the pictures below.

Mariko

Not to let Twitter Master (and "Amazing Spider-Man 2" director) Marc Webb outdo him, "The Wolverine" director James Mangold has refreshed his Twitter feed with a few new behind the scenes images of the cast and crew of this summer's mutant movie.

The photos show off a number of scenes glimpsed in the film's trailers, including the elaborate funeral and bullet train sequences. Tao Okamoto, who portrays Mariko Yashida, pops up in a photo as well. Check out all the photos below.

After weeks of tweeting pictures of obscure set details, director Marc Webb has finally given us a taste of the action unfolding on the set of "Amazing Spider-Man 2." A recent tweet depicts a cop that's apparently gotten too close to Electro (played by the unseen Jamie Foxx). Get a look at the full tweet below, as well as a few other recent on-set photos.

Captain America Shield

by Brett White

The first official image for "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" has arrived along with an extensive synopsis, both courtesy of Marvel. The image itself is quite striking and expertly sums up Cap's internal conflict as he fully steps into the modern world. How will he reconcile the shield behind him and the S.H.I.E.L.D. in front of him?

I have to say, this is a great teaser image for the sequel to "Captain America: The First Avenger." If there was one thing fans wanted more of from "Marvel's the Avengers," it was time-displaced Steve coping with the new world around him. This one image pretty much says, "hey, we're dealing with it now." And that's great.

Check out the full synopsis, and a rundown of its major reveals, below.

Beast

by Brett White

Well, actually only half of Beast has been revealed. "X-Men: Days of Future Past" director Bryan Singer has tweeted a picture of the Beast, and we assume that's returning star Nicholas Hoult underneath the blue fur. Hoult is reprising the role that he took on in "X-Men: First Class," and he's one of only four actors from that first film to return.

Singer included a passage from Jeanne Marie Le Prince de Beaumont's Beauty and the Beast in the tweet. Check out the full picture below. As far as first looks go, this one is pretty awesome.

Iron Man 3 cake

by Brett White

Tony Stark himself, Robert Downey Jr., celebrated his 47th birthday while he was in South Korea kicking off the "Iron Man 3" promotional tour. And when you're Iron Man, you get an Iron Man cake. Them's the rules! The cake itself is way more impressive than the "Iron Man 3" sheet cake found in your local grocery store. This one's so detailed, it's probably capable of taking off into orbit.

To see Robert Downey Jr.'s elaborate birthday cake in its full glory, check out the picture below. Also take a gander at some of the publicity shots from Robert Downey Jr.'s appearance in South Korea, courtesy of Walt Disney Studios Publicity.

UPDATE: This post now contains 100% more Robert Downey Jr. dancing to "Gangnam Style," thanks to Comic Book Movie.

Man of steel

by Brett White

Costume Craze has listed a costume from "Man of Steel" for the annual post-Easter Halloween costume rush (note: this is not a thing that happens). If you or your child want to dress up as the guy that throws down with Superman, then this General Zod costume is definitely for you. And if you just want something to absolutely terrify everyone with eyeballs, this mask is definitely for you. For those of you wishing to remain spoiler-free, you should know that the terrifying mask is not of actor Michael Shannon's face, but rather something that General Zod will apparently be wearing in "Man of Steel" - hopefully for a split second before taking it off and throwing it into space where human eyes can never again be tormented by it.

UPDATE: Images removed at the request of the studio.

What do you think of General Zod's new look? Let us know in the comments below or hit us up on Twitter!
