Tom Hardy - BaneNo matter how many casting announcements and set photos we see, it's the first image of an actor in costume that really makes a comic book movie feel like it's truly going to happen — and for better or worse, it's also what helps fans decide how to set their expectations for the final product.

Today we got our first look at Tom Hardy as Bane in "The Dark Knight Rises," Christopher Nolan's final installment in his blockbuster Batman movie franchise. The image debuted as part of a viral marketing campaign for the upcoming third film in the franchise, which sees Hardy playing the brilliant, brutal villain known as Bane.

So, now that the image is out there, the question becomes: what do you think of it? Read More...

Michael ShannonThe "Superman" reboot has its villain, and he's a familiar name to comics fans. Warner Bros. announced this weekend that actor Michael Shannon will play General Zod in Zack Snyder's upcoming film.

But is he the right baddie for Superman's return to the big screen?

Some have argued that a match-up between the Man of Steel and another Kryptonian might be better served in a subsequent film rather than the project intended to re-establish the character in movie-goers' minds. Others have argued that a brawl with Zod could provide the much-needed action that was missing from 2006's "Superman Returns." Read More...

Amy AdamsJust in case you missed the big news: Amy Adams will play Lois Lane in Zack Snyder's upcoming reboot of the "Superman" film franchise.

And while we're glad to hear that The Daily Planet's ace reporter will indeed have a role in "Man Of Steel" (the project's current working title), not everyone is thrilled about who will be playing her. The casting of the "Enchanted" and "The Fighter" actress has prompted much online debate, and though we rounded up some of the response on Twitter from comic book creators, we also want to hear from you — the fans!

Do you like the casting? Hate it? Do you need to see more of the film to weigh in? Let us know! Read More...

Adrianne Palicki - Wonder Woman

The new image features Palicki clad in a skin-tight costume that samples from both modern and classic takes on the character, and has caused no small amount of discussion around the online world. Some love it, some hate it, and some are wondering how it's any worse (or better) than what she wears in the comic.

The Amazing Spider-ManThe official title for Marc Webb's upcoming reboot of the Spider-Man movie franchise was announced yesterday, and now the world will need to start referring to the project by its true name: "The Amazing Spider-Man."

But are you happy with the new title?

Around Splash Page HQ, we're pretty psyched about the obvious reference to the longest-running Spidey comic book series on the market, but there's some concern that mainstream audiences might not dig the adjective-friendly title. What do you think? Read More...

Andrew Garfield as Spider-ManThe first photo of Andrew Garfield as Spider-Man was released by Sony earlier today, ending almost a year of speculation about how the friendly neighborhood webslinger will look when the franchise is rebooted by "500 Days Of Summer" filmmaker Marc Webb.

Even though Peter Parker's looking a little beat up in the photo and we don't get to see the mask, there are a lot of changes to be seen in the new, rebooted Spider-Man costume. So now the question becomes: do we like it?

Now's your chance to let us know whether you think the new Spider-Man suit is a big win, a total fail, or a decision that can only be made once we see the mask — which is totally understandable. Personally, I'm a fan of the new look, but I'm sure there will be more than a few people with differing opinions. Read More...
