Last night's episode of "Arrow" was chock full of big surprises. From the vigilante revealing his secret identity to yet another one of Oliver Queen's closest associates to the reappearance of a villain long thought dead, "Dead to Rights" focused mainly on the budding relationship between Oliver and Detective McKenna and the father/son relationship between Tommy and Malcolm Merlyn, a.k.a. the Dark Archer.

The show might be called "The Walking Dead," but those titular ambulatory corpses have officially become more a nuisance than a threat; these days, the true danger is lurking in fortified camps behind well-guarded walls, as Sheriff Rick and Governor Philip prepare to play some war games. And with a showdown imminent between the two groups of survivors, this week's episode was all about subtle shifts and sadistic strategy, as each leader pushed his pawns into place. Love seems to be in the air in Starling City as last night's "Arrow" featured both Oliver Queen and Diggle going out on fancy dates, not to mention the fact that Thea Queen has found a new love interest in the form of bad boy Roy Harper. "Dodger" revolves mostly around Oliver and company tracking down a jewel thief named the Dodger. He's smooth, he's swift, and he loves to strap bombs to people's necks.

In a surprising turn of events, last night's episode of "Arrow" was comprised mostly of flashbacks to Oliver Queens's time on the mysterious island of Liànyù. "The Odyssey" picks up precisely where last week's episode left off, with the hooded vigilante breaking into Queen Consolidated and interrogating Moira Queen at arrow-point. Moira, who denies having anything to do with Walter's disappearance, eventually gets the upper hand, shooting her own son with a hidden handgun.
Oliver makes the tough decision of revealing his secret identity to Queen Consolidated's I.T. girl, Felicity Smoak, with the hopes that she will drive him back to the Arrowcave and help remove the bullet from his shoulder. Being that Oliver Queen is technically her boss and also a known murderer, Ms. Smoak quickly agrees to do whatever he so pleases.

"The Walking Dead" was back in action last night, returning from its midseason break just in time to resolve some cliffhangers, shatter some psyches, and break the hearts of every dedicated 'shipper who was hoping we'd finally get to see Daryl and Carol give in to their passion and totally make out. (Oh, please, like you weren't.) But despite the lack of happy endings, it was still an auspicious beginning for the second half of a season that promises much more drama before it's all over. Here's what went down.

There's been a lot of trust issues on "Arrow" so far, but never before have they been made so prominent. Last night's episode, "Betrayal," puts a spotlight on all of the liars in Starling City; whether it's Oliver Queen, who is lying to his family and friends about his alter ego, or Detective Lance, who is lying to his daughter about putting a tracer on the vigilante's phone, there just doesn't seem to be an honest person in the entire town.
Well, besides Tommy that is.

Picking up exactly where last week's episode of "Arrow" left off, "Vertigo" opens with a furious and hooded Oliver Queen chasing a low level drug thug through an alleyway. Pinning him to a nearby ledge with an arrow stuck in his wrist, the thug tells Oliver of a maniacal drug lord known only as the Count. He's the one that's been supplying Starling City with the deadly Vertigo drug. He's the one responsible for Thea's arrest.
The next day, the Queens and Laurel show up in support of the accused: Thea Queen. But despite the best efforts of the best lawyer in town, the judge moves the case to trial and deems Thea the new poster child for drug abuse in Starling City. With nowhere left to turn, Oliver pays a visit to the Starling City Police Department and bumps into an old friend, Detective McKenna Hall.
