Kick-Ass 2Brits woke up to something kick-ass on their doorstep today: the first issue of Mark Millar's brand new comics magazine, “CLiNT.”

From Titan Publishing, Millar, and British talents Jonathan Ross and Frankie Boyle, "CLiNT" promises to bring fans something they’ve been missing — a comic book disguised as a magazine. “CLiNT” features four serialized comic strips (including a preview of “Kick-Ass 2”), as well as interviews and features on video games, movies and television.

“It’s really secretly selling people comics,” Millar told MTV News. “My dad’s generation and my generation all read comics as children but my daughters generation, the boys in her class have never picked up a comic book. So I wanted it to be something teenage boys and young guys in their 20s would feel comfortable with, you know? Something that is a hybrid.” Read More...

Kick-Ass 2If you’ve been eagerly anticipating the sequel to Mark Millar’s hit comic book series “Kick-Ass,” this is your lucky day... and week, for that matter. Why? Because we have an exclusive sneak peek at "Kick-Ass 2" (the comic), courtesy of Millar's new monthly magazine debuting this week, “CLiNT.”

Kick-Ass 2” follows immediately after ‘Kick-Ass,’” Millar told MTV News. “You see how Dave has inspired people to become amateur superheroes, Red Mist has inspired people in the sequel to become amateur supervillains. So what we have is two rival gangs of super characters getting together in New York.”

And what about the sequel to the mega-successful film adaptation of the comic starring Aaron Johnson, Christopher Mintz-Plasse and Chloe Moretz? To paraphrase the Red Mist, wait 'til they get a load of this! Read More...

CLiNTIt seems comic book writer Mark Millar has the golden touch these days. We’ve seen his popularity grow outside the comic world with successful feature film adaptations of “Kick-Ass” and “Wanted” and he doesn’t look to be slowing down anytime soon.

On September 2, with the help of British talents Jonathan Ross and Frankie Boyle, Millar and Titan Magazines will debut “CLiNT,” a new monthly magazine featuring features and interviews on movies, video games and television as well as four serialized comic-strips.

“I want this to be edgy and irreverent, the kind of thing guys will be passing around lunch-halls and common rooms,” said Millar. Exactly what kind of content could get guys and gals to do such a thing? How about the much-anticipated launch to the “Kick-Ass 2" comic? Read More...

TorchwoodIt was exciting enough for us “Doctor Who” fans here on Splash Page (and there are several, let me assure you) that the successful spin-off series “Torchwood” was getting its own comic book, but now we can breath easy (and jump for joy) that “Torchwood” will be continuing on television, too.

Starz Entertainment has acquired the rights to debut the next 10-episode installment of the hit show right here in the United States — and yes, Captain Jack Harkness is on board. (You can't hear it, but I'm whistling suggestively right now.)

Previous reports had the Fox network interested in picking up the show, but they passed just two months ago. Read More...
