Fans who have been waiting for Tokyopop's "Priest" to hit the big screen have grown used to long news droughts regarding the adaptation. After all, last we heard from the production was back in December of '08, when it was announced that Scott Charles Stewart had taken over directorial duties from Andrew Douglass on the project.
Well, "Priest" fans, it looks like those months of no news may be coming to an end, as today, The Hollywood Reporter has announced that Paul Bettany is in negotiations to star in the film which is scheduled to hit theaters in January of next year. Likewise -- barring any unforeseen stalls in the negotiations -- the move would reunite Bettany with Stewart, having just finished work on 2010's "Legion," an upcoming supernatural thriller.
