Incredible Hulk

by Ryan Rigley

Joss Whedon's "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." may be the latest live-action Marvel TV series to sweep the nation, but it is by no means the first. In the late '70's, families would gather around their televisions every Friday night at 9 P.M. to watch a show featuring everyone's favorite not-so-jolly green giant. Starring the likes of Bill Bixby (as Dr. David Banner) and Lou Ferrigno (as the Hulk), "The Incredible Hulk" has garnered a loyal following of fans throughout the years.

In fact, "The Incredible Hulk" was so successful that recently there has been talk of a re-imagined take on the series, helmed by the great Guillermo del Toro. However, with promotion for "Pacific Rim" now underway and huge films such as "Pinocchio" and "Justice League Dark" currently on his plate, it doesn't seem like del Toro will be getting to this passion project anytime soon. Still,"The Incredible Hulk" remains Marvel's most successful live-action series to date. And rightfully so!

S.H.I.E.L.D.

ABC premiered the trailer for "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." during the network's upfronts presentation in New York and, unsurprisingly, it looks to be one of the best new shows in the fall TV line-up. During the upfronts presentation of his show, Joss Whedon opened up about what will make a series based on S.H.I.E.L.D. work for all audiences.

"Everything has to push 'character' forward, including action. We don't want 'spectacle' characters, we want some spectacle that addresses character. We always want the two to mix," Whedon said.

Wonder Woman

by Brett White

With "Arrow" a success on the small screen and superheroes making big bucks on the big screen, it's no wonder that the CW is apparently giving one of the most iconic superheroes of all time a second chance. Entertainment Weekly reports that the prequel series centered around Wonder Woman, "Amazon," still has some life left in it despite not getting a pilot order in January.

"Oh God yes," said CW president Mark Pedowitz after being asked if The CW was still interested in a new Wonder Woman show. "It's being redeveloped. We don't want to produce something that doesn't do the franchise justice... It's the trickiest of all the DC characters."

Arrow Sacrifice

by Ryan Rigley

Last night's explosive "Arrow" season finale kicked off, appropriately, with a callback to this season's pilot episode. As a desperate Robert Queen holds a gun to his temple, he tells his son Oliver to survive. Picking up exactly where last week's episode ended, "Sacrifice" opens on a beaten and bruised Oliver Queen, chained up in a dark room, as the evil Malcolm Merlyn thanks him for saving his life and makes fun of his inability to best him in combat.

In a flashback to the island of Lian Yu, Oliver and company watch on in horror as the Chinese aircraft slowly flies to its assured doom. Suddenly, Oliver breaks free stabbing his captive with ease. As Slade and Shado also break free of their restraints, Edward Fyres picks up his walkie talkie and orders his men to fire their missiles. Cut to present day, where Oliver manages to break free of his restraints and is saved by his trusty partner in crime: Diggle.

"Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." is starting to seem like the gift that keeps on giving. After debuting a 30 second trailer on Sunday night, the show has gone on to launch a significant internet presence and inspired more than a few "Who is J. August Richards playing" posts both here and elsewhere. Now "S.H.I.E.L.D." has revealed exactly which hour of the week we'll be blocking off for total immersion into Marvel's world come this fall. "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." will air on ABC on Tuesdays at 8 p.m. as the lead-in to a pair of comedies, "The Goldbergs" and "Trophy Wife."

And if a time slot isn't enough to hold you over, how about promo photos? Like, a lot of promo photos? ABC has released a few stills from the pilot and a ton of photos highlighting each principle cast member. Above you can see Agent Phil Coulson (Clark Gregg) possibly interrogating possible Rising Tide contributor Skye (Chloe Bennet), while Agent Grant Ward (Brett Dalton) looks on. We don't know much about the pilot, so at this point anything is possible. Check out the rest of the photos below!

Arrow

by Ryan Rigley

Oliver Queen may be down, but he's certainly not out. This week marks the season finale of the CW's "Arrow," in which our beloved vigilante finally comes face to face with the biggest and baddest adversary he's yet to encounter: Malcolm Merlyn, a.k.a. the Dark Archer. With this current season almost at an end, we sat down with "Arrow" executive producer Andrew Kreisberg, who was kind enough to shed some light on the highly-anticipated season finale.

"I think the relationship between Malcolm and Oliver, which we've gotten glimpses of over the course of the season, really comes to a head in the finale," explains Kreisberg in a recent interview with MTV Splash Page. "It's just full of these great Shakespearean things. Malcolm essentially killed Oliver's father. Your hero is only as good as your villain, and we feel like we've had both a great hero and a great villain."
