Ladies and gentlemen, feast your eyes: your first look at the latest "Walking Dead" badass, Michonne!

"Treme" actress Danai Gurira is the woman bringing Michonne to life in the third season of the AMC survival horror series, and the first look at her in character arrived online today courtesy of Entertainment Weekly. I don't know how much really needs to be said here: she looks the part, which is to say, she looks terrifying.

There's room for all types of people in the zombie apocalypse, even the funny guys. That's the case according to some new "Walking Dead" casting calls, at least, one of which calls for a new "comic relief" character.

E! Online and TVLine have the scoop on two new characters joining the third season of the AMC apocalyptic drama. One of these characters is Harold, described as "the exact opposite of Shane" and more like the late Dale.

The Walking Dead

Things are going to get bloody in the third season of "The Walking Dead." And, according to a new behind-the-scenes video released from the set of the show, everything's going to get a whole lot crazier for Rick and the rest of the survivors.

The Huffington Post was lucky enough to visit the set of AMC's hit post-apocalyptic drama, and based on the amount of blood coating stars Andrew Lincoln and Norman Reedus, we expect things are going to get messy quickly in season three.

"It's very ominous and dark and gloomy," Reedus teased about what we have in store for us. "People start losing their minds, love blossoms and a whole lot of gross zombie kills."

With upfronts in full swing this past week, the latest show picked up by The CW—their DC Comics adaptation, "Arrow"—is gaining some pretty hefty buzz. The television network released another trailer showing Oliver Queen's return home after a teaser trailer introducing his serious skills. When MTV News headed to the CW Upfronts, we caught up with the Green Arrow himself, Stephen Amell, who told us the series is "a real superhero show" despite the fact that none of the heroes or villains have any super powers.

"It's pretty kick ass," he said. "There's a lot of action; there's a lot of fighting. It's close hand to hand combat and it's aggressive. The entire pilot just keeps ramping up the entire way. You don't get a break."

If only Rick Grimes had been given a map of the zombie apocalypse ahead of time — think about how much easier his escape from Atlanta would have been!

There's no changing the past for the "Walking Dead" hero, but if you're planning to participate in "The Walking Dead Escape" — the official name of the obstacle course planned for San Diego Comic-Con this year — then you'll be interested to know that a map of the course has been published online.

The "Arrow" madness does not stop! The CW has released another round of footage from their upcoming DC Comics adaptation, this time showcasing a whole lot more than just Oliver Queen being jacked and shooting arrows.

Still, Queen's very much the focus of the trailer, as he should be. We see his disheveled, bearded visage stalking the remote island he's been stranded upon for five years, using his expert marksman skills to unleash a signal fire. When he returns home to Star City, Ollie's got some 'splaining to do… namely to former flame Laurel Lance (Katie Cassidy), to his own sister (Willa Holland) and to his best friend Tommy Merlyn (Colin Donnell).

Check out the whole trailer past the break!

Ladies and gentlemen, bows and arrows at the ready: Oliver Queen's coming back to television, and he's already got himself a time slot.

"Arrow," the new TV series based on DC Comics' Green Arrow character, has been scheduled for Wednesday nights at 8 p.m. ET, with the exact premiere date still to be determined. The Stephen Amell-starring series will be teamed up with veteran genre show "Supernatural," set to air at 9 p.m. ET on Wednesday nights. It's not the "Smallville"-"Arrow" one-two punch that DC fans would die over, no, but it's a pretty powerful pair all the same.

It's never too early to get excited for more "Walking Dead," is it? Enthusiasm for the show is—wait for it—infectious! (Ah, I don't feel good about that one, either.) Even though new episodes are still several months away from hitting the airwaves, AMC is getting a head start on the excitement by offering fans an opportunity to attend the season three premiere in Los Angeles next fall. How to enter, you ask? Easy! Just follow the rules over at AMC, or check out the video below; it explains everything.

"The Walking Dead's" 100th issue comes out on July 11, a date that just happens to be the same day as San Diego Comic-Con's Wednesday preview night. Though we doubt that series creator Robert Kirkman planned that perfect overlap back when he first started writing about the zombie apocalypse, he has announced today that he and his Skybound imprint are going to take advantage of it by holding a zombie obstacle course during Comic-Con at San Diego's Petco Park.

The news comes thanks to Entertainment Weekly, who revealed that the event will be called "The Walking Dead Escape: Live the Apocalypse." All fans -- not just Comic-Con attendees -- will be able to participate as a survivor in avoiding zombies in the "evacuation zone" by climbing, crawling and sliding their way through the obstacle course.

Jessica Jones

The Jade Giant's small screen prospects took a turn for the optimistic yesterday when ABC Entertianment President Paul Lee revealed that a "Hulk" television series will hopefully be ready for the 2013 - 2014 season. But where Bruce Banner rises, Jessica Jones falls, it appears.

"AKA Jessica Jones," based on the "Alias" comic books penned by Brian Michael Bendis, will not be moving forward at ABC, Lee confirmed in a conference call (as reported by the New York Daily News). No particular reason was given for the decision to pass on the project. Lee added that while "Jessica Jones" is not dead, it's no longer a top priority for the network.

"Other projects are more toward the front of the queue now," he said.
