The LA Times' Hero Complex has published an in-depth look at the long road "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." has traveled, all the way from being an idea in executive producer Jeph Loeb's mind after watching the Marvel short film "Item 47," all the way to being quite possibly the fall's most highly-anticipated drama.

The article includes over a dozen new photos of the cast on their elaborate set, which mimics the interior of the giant, state-of-the-art S.H.I.E.L.D. airplane that the sextet uses to traverse the globe, tracking down new super-threats. Actors Clark Gregg, Ming-Na Wen, Brett Dalton, and Chloe Bennet can be seen shooting the fourth episode of the show. In addition to the photos, the article reveals a few new facts about the pilot. Check out the facts and photos after the jump!

Forget all of these teeny tiny teasers AMC has been slowly releasing lately for the fourth season of "The Walking Dead." This new featurette has nearly four minutes of intense zombie action, expanding on the footage we've already seen and offering up a ton more—including everything from epic zombie kills to Hershel's garden to Carol's knife class.

Intercut with all of the new footage are interviews from nearly every single cast member and producer working on the show, including new showrunner Scott M. Gimple. "We're going to see them try to get over what they've lost and try to survive beyond that," says Gimple in the clip below. This is required viewing for everyone excited about the show's return on October 13th.

Deathstroke

Manu Bennett's days on "Spartacus" are over, but he's got plenty of business ahead of him as Slade Wilson.

Bennett has been upgraded to series regular status for season two of "Arrow," having logged plenty of season one time as a recurring guest star. The "Spartacus" actor can't wait to show fans more sides to his deadly mercenary of a character, based on what he said in a new interview with Access Hollywood.

While we most likely won't be seeing the big-screen Avengers guest-starring in ABC's new "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." TV series, that doesn't mean they've been forgotten entirely. After all, the new show takes place in the same universe as the films, and we know from the pilot's synopsis that the first episode takes place in the wake of "Marvel's the Avengers'" final battle. The pilot has even relocated two big screen presences to the small one: Clark Gregg's series regular Agent Coulson, and Cobie Smulders, who turns in a guest-starring turn as Agent Maria Hill.

And now, thanks to these 5 new clips, we know that a few other Avengers will be referenced on the show—half of them to be exact! You can check out the first one, where Coulson tries to convince Ming-Na Wen's Agent Melinda May to "drive the bus," below.

Iron Man Armored Adventures

by Ryan Rigley

Tony Stark may have blown up all of my Iron Man armors at the end of "Iron Man 3," but that certainly doesn't mean that he won't be Iron Man anymore. In fact, quite the contrary as Marvel Studios' co-president Louis D'Esposito tells it in a recent interview with IGN. "It's hard for me to say what he's doing [in 'Avengers: Age of Ultron'], what his emotional mindset is, but you can see where it was where we left it at the end of 'Iron Man 3," states D'Esposito. "He's in love with Pepper, he's made a grand gesture to blow up the suits at that point — but in the end, he couldn't help himself. He'll go back to tinkering. That's what he does."

D'Esposito goes on to comment on the fact that connectivity plays an integral part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, perhaps shedding some light on the whole Jarvis/Ultron theory. While it's obvious that everything in the Marvel Cinematic Universe is connected, there are still some very recent Marvel TV properties that have nothing to do with the film continuity. For example, 2009's "Iron Man: Armored Adventures" depicts Tony Stark and Pepper Pots as rowdy teenagers!
