'Street Fighter Legends: Chun-Li'Okay, so 1994's big-screen adaptation of the popular "Street Fighter" video game was less than stellar (heck, even the film's writer/director, Steven de Souza, thinks so), but as any fan of comic-book movies will tell you, that means one thing: it's long past due for a reboot!

And while next year's premiere of the live-action "Street Fighter Legends: Chun-Li" hopes to reinvent the brand on the big screen, there's a lot for comics fans to take note of regarding the film, too. For one thing, the film stars "Smallville" actress Kristin Kreuk as the title character (and yet another object of fanboy affection). More importantly, though, the film has prompted UDON Entertainment to kick off yet another "Street Fighter" series of comics -- and provide the preview we've posted after the jump.

For those not in the know, UDON's been publishing some beautiful, yet somewhat under-the-radar, comics based on the "Street Fighter" line for quite a while now -- and the new, four-issue "Chun-Li" miniseries looks to be more of the former and, with all of the hype surrounding the film, much less of the latter.
