Tune in to the 2012 MTV Movie Awards

To say that "Spider-Man: Turn off the Dark" has been met with a lukewarm reaction is putting it mildly. The long developing and record-breakingly expensive Broadway production began preview performances this past Sunday, and when the reviews came in, they were far from pretty.

While harsh, negative reviews of the Spider-Man musical are par for the course at this point, not everybody in the entertainment industry is showering the production with insults. Indeed, the recently returned Conan O'Brien is all about "Spider-Man: Turn off the Dark," so much so that he featured an exclusive sneak peak of the musical on his late night talk show earlier this week!

Well... sort of, anyway. Read More...

Grant MorrisonWhen Grant Morrison teased that his character Korse would continue to haunt My Chemical Romance in new videos for their recently released album "Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys," he certainly wasn't kidding.

Indeed, Korse is already back in action in a brand new music video titled "Sing," and just like the video for "Na Na Na," My Chemical Romance fans are in for a science fiction ride of epic proportions.

In "Na Na Na," Korse managed to get the upper hand on our heroes, the titular Killjoys — a group that consists of Party Poison, Jet Star, Fun Ghoul and Kobra Kid. But when "Sing" begins, the Killjoys have rebounded from their loss at the hands of Korse, leading them on a daring rescue mission to save a young child and flee this highly protected facility with their lives intact. But Korse has other plans... Read More...

On last night's episode of "The Walking Dead," viewers spent their first meaningful stretch of time with Dale, the survivor's camp's elder statesman played by Jeffrey DeMunn. Already a favorite amongst the Frank Darabont faithful due to his roles in "The Shawshank Redemption," "The Green Mile" and other films, DeMunn's talents haven't gone unnoticed by his fellow actors on the hit AMC series.

"DeMunn is the man," enthused series star Andrew Lincoln during a recent interview with MTV News. "He's a terrific actor. He's a gentleman, one of the nicest guys, but he's got this kind of steel in him, this fierceness as well. There's also this lightness and deftness of touch, and so funny — he just is the guy." Despite all the hype and hoopla surrounding the Marc Webb-directed "Spider-Man" reboot, a part of me is still sad about all that went down with Sam Raimi. Don't get me wrong, I'm intrigued by what Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone will bring to the mix, but a large part of me won't let go of Tobey Maguire as Peter Parker — and Kirsten Dunst as Mary Jane Watson, for that matter.

When MTV News caught up with the former Ms. MJ recently to promote her new movie "All Good Things," I couldn't help but ask what her advice would be for the new Spidey leading lady, Emma Stone, as well as her thoughts on Sony moving on with the franchise without Raimi and Maguire.

"Get used to acting to nothing," advised Dunst, laughing. "[There is] a lot of that. Swinging, and acting to nothing." Read More...

The theatrical version of "Scott Pilgrim vs. The World" that you've seen was not always the version you were meant to see -- once upon a time, director Edgar Wright's adaptation of Bryan Lee O'Malley's graphic novel series ended very, very differently.

When Wright swung by Splash Page headquarters earlier this week to promote the film's recent Blu-ray release, the filmmaker revealed that there was a different ending to "Scott Pilgrim" than the conclusion that actually made it into the final cut -- but that doesn't mean you can't still check out the deleted ending.

"The ending you saw in the theaters is my preferred ending," said Wright. "But I like showing everything!" Read More...

Chris Hemsworth, the man who holds the mighty hammer Mjolnir in next summer’s “Thor,” has yet to read Joss Whedon’s script for “The Avengers,” the superhero team-up flick that brings a wealth of Marvel Studios’ greatest heroes all under the same roof. However, one member of the squad has gotten his hands on the screenplay.

MTV News spoke with “Iron Man” star Robert Downey Jr. on the red carpet at the New York City premiere of “Due Date” earlier this week, and during the interview — a very frisky interview, thanks to the always unpredictable Zach Galifianakis — RDJ spilled the beans that he’s seen the “Avengers” script.

So, what does he think? You’ll be pleased to know that “The Avengers” officially has the Stark Industries seal of approval! Read More...
