In the wake of Warner Bros. casting Ben Affleck as the new Batman, Marvel unveiled its choice for the main antagonist in the highly-anticipated "Avengers: Age of Ultron." James Spader ("Stargate," "The Office") will be portraying the evil android known as Ultron in Earth's Mightiest Sequel.

While no further details have been released about Spader's role, this newest development still pleases us to no end. James Spader is the perfect choice for Ultron, a cold, calculating android hellbent on destroying the human race, for a number of reasons. "The Walking Dead's" return is right around the corner, meaning that the promotion machine is in full-swing. Not that the show really needs promotion; where "Walking Dead" goes, legions of zombie fans follow, busting ratings records along the way. In addition to the rumors and TV spots, though, AMC has posted a video featuring "Walking Dead" creator Robert Kirkman giving a guided tour of the newly expanded prison set that will serve as home base during the show's fourth season. From spaghetti bushes to stab stations, this prison has pretty much everything one needs to survive an ongoing apocalypse. Check out the video below, and thanks to MTV Geek for the heads up!

A new roundtable interview with the cast of ABC's "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." aired as part of the network's "Fall Preview Special," featuring the cast giving just a teeny bit more insight into their characters and the ever-expanding Marvel Cinematic Universe. The biggest reveal had to be Clark Gregg saying that this S.H.I.E.L.D. task force plans to deal with threats from "this world and several others."

The fact that aliens play a big role in the MCU is no surprise; after all, all the Norse gods have been presented as quasi-sorta-aliens, the Chitauri made a mess of Manhattan in last year's "Marvel's the Avengers," and next year Marvel's cosmic characters will steal the spotlight in "Guardians of the Galaxy." But now it looks like "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." will also feature even more extraterrestrial shenanigans. We even see some alien evidence at a crime scene in some of the preview's new footage. You can check out the entire six minute preview clip after the jump!

"There's walkers in D!"

Surely there's not a more frightening sentence for the survivors in "The Walking Dead" to hear than one that roughly translates to "there are zombies in our living room." This new TV spot for the show's upcoming fourth season may be brief, but it does give us just enough Glenn and Daryl action to hold us over until the show's return on October 13th. It looks like Rick's group's integration with the Woodbury residents is going about as well as could be expected, considering this is the relentlessly grim "The Walking Dead."

Check out the quick TV spot below, and then check out some of the new season's promo photos if you're still hungry for season four updates.

Loki

Remember how awesome the last "Thor: The Dark World" trailer was? Now you can relive all of those great moments again in this quick, sixty second mini-trailer that takes all the best moments from that trailer and packs them together for maximum impact, including the now infamous slap! Tom Hiddleston spoke to MTV News about the now infamous encounter between Loki and Natalie Portman's Jane Foster, calling their relationship "fascinating."

"Loki and Jane never actually met in the first film," said Hiddleston. "At the end of Kenneth Branagh's 'Thor' film, Loki says to Thor, 'What happened to you on Earth that turned you so soft? Don't tell me it was that woman.' At which point, Thor's hand grips tighter around Mjolnir, and Loki says, 'Oh it was. Maybe when we're finished here, I'll pay her a visit myself.' That becomes the impetus for the enormous fight they have at the end of the film, so there's been this unspoken relationship between Loki and Jane, but they've never actually met. And I think there's a huge amount of mileage to be had in whatever that spark is between them. Jane knows about Loki, Loki knows about Jane, and what happens when we get the two of them in a room together."

Batman

by Ryan Rigley

"I am vengeance. I am the night. I am... Ben Affleck." That's right, folks. Warner Bros. and Zack Snyder have officially announced who our next Dark Knight will be and it's neither Josh Brolin nor Ryan Gosling. Apparently, Oscar-winning director Ben Affleck has officially signed a multi-film deal with Warner Bros., meaning he'll play the Caped Crusader in the next few Batman films— including Snyder's "Superman vs. Batman" and the highly-anticipated "Justice League."

So far, reactions to Affleck's new role have been pretty mixed with several online petitions being made to recast the Dark Knight. Lest we forget, there have already been a few different interpretations of Batman throughout the years, including Adam West's Batusi-doing do-gooder. Speaking of which, here's a look back on the super campy, yet super awesome "Batman" TV series from the 60's.
