Is Edgar Wright Teasing An 'Ant-Man' Announcement?

"The Avengers" may have been a big hit, but what's coming next? We already know that "Iron Man 3," "Thor 2" and "Captain America 2" are on the docket for upcoming Marvel releases, but the studio also has announced that they're planning on releasing movies about some other new Marvel superheroes. Depending on how you interpret a new tweet from Edgar Wright, one of those might be "Ant-Man."

The "Scott Pilgrim vs. The World" director tweeted a picture clearly relating to "Ant-Man," along with the tweet, "Received this in the mail. What can it mean?"

What can it mean? Maybe Wright is trying to tease that we're going to be receiving an "Ant-Man" announcement sometime very, very soon.

Will The Hulk Be In 'Iron Man 3'?

As satisfying as "The Avengers" was for comic book fans, it ultimately (and purposefully) left audiences begging to see more. When will we get a standalone Mark Ruffalo Hulk movie? When are Black Widow and Hawkeye going to get some time in the spotlight? "The Avengers" sent fans' heads spinning with infinite possibilities, but one of the most plausible outcomes from "The Avengers" has to be an eventual cameo from Ruffalo in "Iron Man 3."

Bruce Banner and Tony Stark formed the bromance that melted America's heart this past weekend, and it's only natural that the crowd wants more witty banter. But what are the odds of an appearance by the Hulk in "Iron Man 3"?

'300: Battle of Artemisia': Rodrigo Santoro On Concept, Reprising Xerxes

Good things take time, as anyone who’s ever watched "Apocalypse Now: Redux" can attest. That said, the wait for a "300" sequel, prequel, or whatever they want to call it, has gone on for quite a while.

Plans for "300: Battle of Artemisia" began to slowly develop this year, with a tentative release date set for August 2, 2013.

But according to Rodrigo Santoro, reprising his role as the Persian king Xerxes, things are definitely moving along.

"We start shooting in July," Santoro told Collider. " They’re working on the very, well you never know, but last draft of the script. I think they’re calling it a spin-off because it’s not exactly a prequel, it’s not a sequel."

'Iron Man 3' Casting News: Kingsley 'Thrilled', Chastain Out

With "The Avengers" just hitting theaters this past weekend, it's easy to forget that Marvel and Disney are already set to roll on "Iron Man 3," which is scheduled to begin shooting next month.

The past few weeks have been a filled with exciting casting news, starting with the addition of Sir Ben Kingsley as a yet-to-be-named villain. Shortly after, talk surfaced about Guy Pearce and Jessica Chastain potentially joining the cast.

MTV News caught up with Kingsley while he was promoting his upcoming film, "The Dictator," and the actor said he couldn't be happier to join. "I'm delighted. I'm thrilled," Kingsley said. "That great team, headed by its inventors and, of course, the great Robert Downey, I'm delighted to join them."

Gotham Chic: 'Dark Knight Rises' Apparel Now Available

There are many ways to show one’s love for Batman. You can show up to the midnight screening of "The Dark Knight Rises" while dressed like Bane. You can rasterbate a photo of Anne Hathaway on your wall. You can even tattoo the Robin logo on your shoulder, in anticipation of when he’ll show up in the movie-verse.

Thanks to Warner Brothers, there’s another option: to wear as much Bat-themed clothing as possible.

Warner Bros has released a line of tie-in shirts for "Rises," now available at your local vendor. It’s pretty typical stuff: scratched gray tees featuring different versions of the Batman logo on them, a white tee with a picture of Bane’s face and "Fire Rises" printed over it, a very "Footloose" Catwoman shirt that hangs off the shoulder and says "Social Climber" in winking script on the front. The whole point of "The Avengers" is that there are six of them. Few things are cooler than seeing Iron Man, Cap, Thor, Hulk, Black Widow and Hawkeye all on screen together, but there are certainly moments when they shine in pairs.

In the heat of battle, the group can get separated, but some of finest moments in "The Avengers" came when group broke off to form temporary dynamic duos.

Avengers In Memoriam

The Avengers have every right to leave this past weekend with their giant green fist held high in triumph. Marvel's superhero all-star team collected $200.3 million in the US box office debut, but the victory did not come without some loss.

Those who have seen "The Avengers" know by now that not every member of the team made it out alive. War is bloody and senseless, and the heroes of the Marvel universe aren't exempt from that.

'The Avengers': The Comic Books Behind The Movie

Ever since the 2008 big-screen debut of "Iron Man," Marvel Studios has been building towards something. Followed by "The Incredible Hulk" in the same year, "Iron Man 2" in 2010, and "Thor" and "Captain America" in 2011, there were seeds carefully being planted, all suggesting an end goal of something bigger. That something is the feature film debut of "The Avengers," the superhero team which unites Marvel’s greatest heroes, in theaters right now. But the roots of the Avengers go a lot further back than 2008, and we’re going to take a look at the Avengers comic books published over nearly 50 years that have lent their influence to the making of the Avengers film.

WARNING: If you have not seen the film yet, you may want to hold off on reading this—there are MAJOR SPOILERS AHEAD.

As hinted in the post-credits scene of Thor, the primary menace the Avengers have to contend with in their first outing is Loki (Tom Hiddleston), the Norse God of Evil. This echoes the founding of the team in 1963’s Avengers #1 by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, where Loki is inadvertently responsible for the formation of the team. He attempts to lure his hated stepbrother Thor into a trap using the Hulk as his pawn, but succeeds in drawing the attention of the other heroes, who unite to defeat him.

'Avengers': The Secrets Behind The Final Battle

One of the greatest accomplishments of "The Avengers" has to be that thrilling, extended final against Loki and his army. There is just so much going on, so many unforgettable moments, that we had to find out just how they pulled it off from the people behind the movie.

When MTV News spoke with Joss Whedon, he said that the final battle was the most challenging for him as a filmmaker. "The final battle is not small," he said, always a fan of the understatement. "It really was a task to make sure that everybody was working at their particular power level, and every now and then we had to adjust things because there are things that Cap can do Hawkeye can't, and Thor can do that Cap can't, and Hulk can do that Thor can't. You've just got to make sure that you stay true to their realities."
