Back in December, it was announced that Stephen Norrington would direct a remake of "The Crow," the 1994 cult film based on James O'Barr's classic graphic novel. While there are those clamoring for the gothic hero to grace the screen again, many are flabbergasted at the notion of retreading on Brandon Lee's final film.
Joining the list of the shocked, awed and repulsed is Alex Proyas, director of the original "Crow" and the newly released "Knowing." Proyas told Digital Spy, "The whole notion of remaking ['The Crow'], to me, is just ridiculous and I'd have nothing to do with it, as I've had nothing to do with any of the sequels or the TV show or any of that stuff." For those of you out there holding out hope for a third installment of "Fantastic Four," by now you've gotta slowly be coming to grips with the fact that the prospects look pretty bleak these days. Considering the comments made by director Alex Proyas about his frosty relationship with Fox, "Fantastic Four" actor Chris Evans basically saying that "Fantastic Four 3” would likely not happen, and given that Marvel's rumored future lineup of films doesn't mention anything about a new installment to the franchise, it ain't looking too promising, Fantastic Fans.

The fact that no one's mentioned it or asked a question says that, more than likely, that's not going to happen. I know that both of them were tremendously successful from a box office standpoint, but we've all moved on into other areas and other films." Read more...
While at Comic-Con last month, acclaimed director Alex Proyas blew the lid off rumors that he was going to be directing a “Silver Surfer” spin-off, claiming the news of his involvement was nothing more than idle internet chatter.
There may be more to it than that, he told MTV News. Although he wouldn’t go so far as to say there was ever an official offer, why would he never even consider a “Silver Surfer” movie?
“Because it’s a Fox picture,” the “Dark City” helmer said. “And I’m determined never to work with them ever again because of my experience on ‘I,Robot.’” Read more...
