FROM MTV.COM: It's no secret that many rappers are huge comic-book fans: For example, Ghost Rider and Iron Man are aliases of comic-book characters Johnny Blaze and Tony Stark respectively, but they're also aliases of Wu-Tang Clan's Method Man and Ghostface as well. Meth adopted Johnny Blaze out of his love for the badass with a flaming skull, mystical chain and penchant for vengeance, and Ghostface actually named his first album Ironman, and appeared in the first "Iron Man" movie.

That's why Shady Records exec Riggs Morales jumped at the idea to become an associate producer for the "Marvelous Color" exhibit in New York, which runs through February 26 of next year. The exhibit, which is curated by Edgardo Miranda-Rodriguez, highlights the six major black characters in the Marvel Comics Universe: Storm, Black Panther, Blade, the Falcon and War Machine. Morales said he's been looking for a way to bring the two worlds together, and felt this exhibit was perfect.

FROM MOVIES BLOG: In 2002, hip hop star Eminem impressed a helluva lot of people with his work in the sort-of-biographical drama, "8 Mile." He's been relatively quiet on the Hollywood front since then, other than a few publicity stunts. All that is about to change however, as Eminem is preparing to return to the silver screen.

Next up for Slim Shady is "Shady Talez," a 3-D horror anthology described as "'Twilight Zone' meets 'Creepshow'" by ScreenDaily, which broke the news. The project is a collaboration between "I, Robot" producer John Davis and writer/producer Dallas Jackson, under the D.J. Classicz/Davis Entertainment label. Jackson will co-write the story with "Underworld" creator Kevin Grevioux; the duo will also produce a four-issue comic book miniseries based on the movie under the Marvel Icons label, for a 2010 release.

Eminem as The JokerEminem's new album, "Relapse," hits shelves Tuesday, and it looks like the Punisher-themed promotional shoot he did for XXL Magazine a month ago isn't the only comics connection in the album. Among the various imagery in the album liner is a shot of Eminem decked out like the late Heath Ledger's award-winning interpretation of The Joker in "The Dark Knight."

The shot depicts Eminem with scarred grin, painted face and suit, holding a set of alphabet blocks that spell the word "KILL" -- and appears in a collage of psych charts, pills and prescription forms at the center of the booklet. You can check out a scan of the image after the jump. Read More...
