Stan LeeNational Donut Day got some tweeters excited about hunting down free fried dough today. Edgar Wright snapped a pick of one of the country's most famous shops in Portland, while Vito Del Sante sounded mighty pessimistic about his prospects for finding any freebees in his neighborhood.

Elsewhere, Stan Lee dropped a trivia bomb for anyone who's seen "Thor." (SPOILER WARNING) Apparently he's been getting questions about whether he got to keep the truck he drove in the film, and he offered an answer last night. Find out for yourself after the jump, along with what Bryan Hitch has been drawing and what it looks like when Yildiray Cinar does Firestorm.

Smallville” fans have gotten used to seeing even the outer parameters of DC’s hero roster brought to life while star Clark Kent remains rather pedestrian. As it turns out though, the series debut of DC cult favorites Booster Gold and Blue Beetle may have a hand in finally breaking Clark free of his civilian shell.

TV Guide just released a photo peek of Booster and Blue Beetle as they’ll appear—in full costume—for April 22’s “Smallville,” also taking the time to speak to DC scribe and episode writer Geoff Johns along with Booster Gold actor Eric Martsolf.

Smallville

"The episode takes place in Booster's very early stages where he's at his conceited best, where he believes he can do whatever he wants,” Martsolf said of where we’ll find the self-promoting hero. He's gonna stay for the photo op and bask in the glory of his heroic efforts." Read More...

SandmanIt was less than 24 hours ago that a report hit the 'net alleging that plans for a television series based on Neil Gaiman's award-winning "Sandman" comics had stalled out — but now it looks like rumors of the project's demise had been greatly exaggerated.

This afternoon, DC Entertainment Chief Creative Officer Geoff Johns took to Twitter to clarify yesterday's comments from "Supernatural" creator Eric Kripke, the former front-runner to helm "Sandman" on The CW. According to Johns, a "Sandman" series is not only still in the works, Gaimain himself will be involved with the project.

"Correction to world: The Sandman is AWAKE! :) Psyched to be working with @neilhimself on developing one of the greatest series ever!" wrote Johns. Read More...

Diane LaneThe big casting announcement of the week thus far has been Diane Lane as Martha Kent in Zack Snyder's "Superman" reboot. Unsurprisingly, DC's big tweeters, Geoff Johns and Jim Lee came out in support of her. Mark Waid expressed a bit of anxiety, though.

Paul Dini, meanwhile, was torn over how to feel about a "Justice League Unlimited" Batman figure he discovered. His thoughts on Wonder Pig, as well as an epic tale of Craigslist quest, Mark Millar's anti-Christian Bale criticism and Bryan Lee O'Malley on creating new characters await you after the jump.

Adrianne PalickiReactions are in following yesterday's announcement that Adrianne Palicki will play Wonder Woman in David E. Kelly's new NBC pilot. Some creators are happy, some are frustrated, and at least one is just rolling his eyes about how little mainstream audiences seem to understand about the character.

Geoff Johns, meanwhile, woke up to FBI agents outside of his home. He didn't say what the big deal was, but he did post a picture as proof. Share your theories and read some thoughts on "Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark" and Facebook etiquette down below.

Spawn signingJust how far along are Geoff Johns' Booster Gold plans for "Smallville"? Well, if you only followed him on Twitter, you might know the answer to that question. While Skottie Young and Gail Simone were tweeting reviews of "The A-Team" last night, Johns was getting mentally prepared to bring his favorite time traveler to the CW.

Johns' update, as well as reactions to recent news about Peter Fonda and David Nelson, thoughts on Zack Snyder's Superman movie and some Image founder pics from last night's "Spawn" #200 signing await you below.

Cinar Black CatComic book sales didn't shine for the direct market this year, and Twitter turned into a bit of a roundtable discussion this morning as a result, with Geoff Johns, Jimmy Palmiotti, Jamal Igle and others weighing in with hopes, complaints and ideas.

Artwork posts were alive and well, however, with Yildiray Cinar sharing a step-by-step walkthrough of a Black Cat card he recently finished and Lea Hernandez posting a shot of a commission she finished. Those retweets and a provocative analysis of the relationship between Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader await you below.

Green Lantern trailer reactionsWe on the MTV Splash Page crew weren't alone refreshing our browsers last night when the "Green Lantern" trailer appeared for the world to see. The launch created a tidal wave of reactions all over the place, but the creators in the Twitter Report feed were as vocal as anyone.

Thus far, the movie has the approval of Kevin Smith, Neil Kleid and Rob Liefeld. Geoff Johns hopes you caught a specific Easter egg that was thrown in, and Paul Azaceta and Brian Denham have some reservations. Check out who shares your opinions below, and if you don't have any yet, it's probably high time that you viewed the new clips from Martin Campbell's film for yourself.

Green LanternGeoff Johns is a very busy man, what with writing three different comic book titles and overseeing much of DC Entertainment's creative output as the company's chief creative officer. But the "Green Lantern" and "The Flash" writer isn't so busy that he won't take the time to discuss the cinematic future of the DC brand.

Collider spoke with Johns about a variety of topics, including when fans can expect announcements regarding DC's future film slate — a time table he described as "soon," but not tomorrow.

"I wish I could say tomorrow, but it's not going to be tomorrow," said Johns. "It will be soon, though. That's for sure." Read More...

Green Lantern Movie Logo ScreenIf you’re the kind of fan who, without question, needs to catch the very first full “Green Lantern” trailer, you may want to befriend a few muggles.

Fresh from New York Comic Con and currently echoing within the comic and movie blogosphere is the news that the hotly anticipated “Green Lantern” trailer will be attached to “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows: Part 1,” the second-to-last film in the Harry Potter series set to debut on November 19, 2010.

“Green Lantern” scribe and DC Chief Creative Officer Geoff Johns made the announcement at the DC Entertainment Panel, perhaps to acknowledge (as early as possible) the hope of many an attending fan that Warner Bros. might release a teaser trailer at some point during the con. Alas, like Thanksgiving, the sight of Ryan Reynolds’ sweet smooth green jammies will have us waiting until November. Read More...
