Chronicle

What would high school kids do with super powers? The answer "Chronicle" gives is that they'd just screw around, and that, for the most part, is very true.

Not everyone who gets the ability to fly or super strength is going to go around saving the world. Quite frankly, most people wouldn't do anything spectacular at all if they could sling web all of the sudden. Most people would slightly alter the life they're currently living. Superheroing is just too much work.

Here is what normal folks would do with the abilities of five famous heroes!

As one of Hollywood's biggest comic book fans, Ryan Reynolds has aligned himself with several high profile superheroes in recent years, with varying degrees of success. His most ambitious effort to date, "Green Lantern," flew into theaters, but disappointed financially and didn't exactly dazzle the critics.

MTV News caught up with the actor while he was promoting his next film "Safe House," and Reynolds opened up about how he looks back on his films, "Green Lantern" in particular.

When I was growing up, "Batman The Animated Series" was pretty much the greatest show that ever existed. The years may have wound on (and on, unfortunately), but there's still a soft spot in my heart for that Warner Bros. cartoon. DC isn't sitting on their laurels though, and Cartoon Network will soon play host to a special chunk of programming that focuses solely upon DC heroes and related brand content.

If you didn't get a chance to check out the premiere of the new "Green Lantern" animated series last Friday, you should try to give it a shot. So far – yes, there's only one episode out at this point – the show's looking like a lot of fun, and with any luck, maybe we'll find ourselves treated to Green Lantern programming better than this year's film adaptation (it has to be).

For all of the crazy CGI and amazing special effects in "Green Lantern," it's easy to forget that at some point the actual Ryan Reynolds was in front of a camera surrounded by a crew.

In an exclusive look behind the scenes from the Blu-ray edition of the movie, out today (October 14), director Martin Campbell talks about what it took to create the dog fighting scene and how to make an action sequence that matters.

You would be forgiven for not knowing that a limited edition "Batman: Arkham City" Sinestro Corps skin is included in specially marked "Green Lantern" Blu-Rays. Thanks to the seemingly never-ending deluge of information that's been flowing from Warner Bros. – including pre-order bonuses, the massive rogues gallery, and retailer-specific content – it's easy to overlook a rather odd Batman costume as yet another "Arkham" update.

Ryan Reynolds has had a busy summer. Heck, he's had a busy couple years. And as much as I would like to leave him alone for a bit and not bug him about future projects (i.e. let "Green Lantern" earn a few more dollars at the box office, or focus on his next flick, "The Change-Up," for example), I can't interview him and not check in on superhero sequels, "R.I.P.D." and "Deadpool."

When MTV News caught up with Reynolds alongside his "Change-Up" co-star Jason Bateman at the premiere for their new R-rated comedy on Monday, I asked him if what he said previously about doing either "R.I.P.D." or "Deadpool," but probably not both, is still true.

"'R.I.P.D.' I'm doing next and then hopefully 'Deadpool,'" Reynolds said. "It's in development still."
