At this point, we know very little about "Iron Man 3" except that "Kiss Kiss Bang Bang" director Shane Black will direct the film. Will we finally see Tony Stark go up against Mandarin? Have we seen the last of War Machine? These are the questions that bother us so around Splash Page HQ.

When MTV News managed to catch up with Pepper Potts herself, actress Gwyneth Paltrow, we made sure to ask her what she knows about the next chapter of the armored Avenger's big-screen adventures. Apparently, she knows about as much we do...

"I haven't met [Shane Black] yet, no," Paltrow told MTV News. Read More...

We know that Tony Stark, Steve Rogers, Bruce Banner, and Thor will all be in "The Avengers," but what about some of the other characters? What about the ones without the superpowers and fancy costumes?

According to "Iron Man" and "Iron Man 2" actress Gwyneth Paltrow, Tony Stark's favorite leading lady won't be involved in Marvel's 2012 superhero team-up blockbuster.

"Pepper is not invited to 'Avengers,'" Paltrow told MTV News during a press event for her new film "Country Strong." Read More...

Iron Man wasn't always "Iron Man," you know. For some fans, it might be hard to remember a time when Tony Stark and his pals weren't taking siestas in huge hammocks made out of gold ala Scrooge McDuck. But the Marvel Comics character wasn't always on the same tier as other superheroes like Spider-Man and Batman — a fact that quickly changed after the massive success of director Jon Favreau's "Iron Man" in 2008.

Now, "Iron Man 2" has already earned over $100 million at the international box office and is on track for similarly huge success when it debuts in the United States this weekend. It's the kind of success that isn't just shocking for lifelong Marvel readers — it's shocking for the "Iron Man" cast and crew, as well.

"It's funny. It's great. It's been a great experience to be in a movie that is so monstrously huge," actress Gwyneth Paltrow told MTV when asked about her reaction to the film franchise's success. "To have teenage boys know who I am is fun!" Read More...

Early in the development of "Iron Man 2," certain reports suggested that Gwyneth Paltrow's Pepper Potts would slip into dominatrix gear during a Tony Stark dream sequence. Even though director Jon Favreau recently dispelled the rumors of Paltrow tapping into her inner Whiplash during the movie, he admitted that the production team briefly considered such a scene.

Likewise, Paltrow herself owned up to the fact that a domineering Pepper was certainly in the cards — at least in some form.

"[There was] no dominatrix [scene]," she admitted when asked about the sequence, but also said with a laugh: "Not on film." Read More...

There's no shortage of action in director Jon Favreau's "Iron Man 2" thanks to a wide variety of bad-ass characters such as Black Widow, Whiplash, War Machine and, of course, Tony Stark himself. But one character that won't get too heavily involved in the action is Pepper Potts, the longtime confidant and love interest to Tony Stark as played by Gwyneth Paltrow.

Pepper isn't always on the side lines, of course — she had quite the action-heavy role as the armor-wearing Rescue in the pages of Matt Fraction's recent "Invincible Iron Man" comic books. While Paltrow didn't get to tap into that side of the character for the upcoming sequel, she's hopeful that Pepper could see more action in a potential third "Iron Man."

"Maybe for the third one, if they do a third one," Paltrow told MTV News about the possibility of seeing more action. "They'd have to mix it up a little, you know what I mean? I don't want to just keep sitting there with a head piece." Read More...

When "Iron Man 2" premieres this week in the U.S., everyone will finally get to see Tony Stark return to the big screen — and we'll also get to officially close the book on many of the rumors that have surrounded the film and who (or what) appears in the final cut.

While "Iron Man 2" director Jon Favreau already explained away rumors that Olivia Munn would appear as The Wasp, what about that rumor that pegged Pepper Potts to appear in full dominatrix gear during one of Tony's dream sequences? And was that really Thor we saw in that blink-and-you-miss-it moment when Tony's walking through a prison hallway?

"Oh, wow," remarked Favreau when MTV News asked him about Gwyneth Paltrow's character donning red-and-yellow dominatrix gear for the rumored scene. Read More...

Earlier this week, Robert Downey Jr. briefly weighed in on the relationship between Tony Stark and Pepper Potts in "Iron Man 2." While Downey was vague on details, he did state that their relationship would be "something shockingly different" than what has previously been portrayed within the "Iron Man" comics.

And while Downey didn't concede any ground on whether Stark and Potts would hook up romantically, his co-star Gwyneth Paltrow was a little bit more forthcoming when she recently spoke with MTV News.

"I think in the films, they definitely have that sort of soulmate-ish connection," related Paltrow. "But I think the fun of it is they never consummate [the relationship] and you always want them to." Read More...

Just when it seemed like "Iron Man 2" news was hitting a lull, Paramount has released three (semi-)new images from the much-anticipated sequel.

Iron Man 2Sure, we know about the debuts of War Machine and Whiplash, but there are lots of things we don't know about "Iron Man 2" at this point, too. For example, will Whiplash get an armor upgrade courtesy of Justin Hammer? And how much of Sam Jackson's "Avengers Initiative" will be revealed this time around?

The "Iron Man 2" footage at Comic-Con seemed to pose as many questions as it answered, so here's a quick recap of everything we do know about one of the most-anticipated films for comic book movie fans:

THE HEROES: While star Robert Downey Jr. has insisted that the "Demon in a Bottle" story won't factor into the "Iron Man 2" plot, he did hint at some inner demons for Tony Stark. Back in April, he described the film as a story about "how a dysfunctional family saves life on Earth"—something that certainly doesn't bode well for the Stark Industries crew. Read More...

Iron Man 2Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow and Mickey Rourke as Whiplash have been dominating the swarm of new "Iron Man 2" pictures percolating across the Internet recently, but in the lead-up to Comic-Con this week, some new images of stars Robert Downey Jr. and Gwyneth Paltrow have made their way to the public eye. The fresh images show RDJ as Tony Stark amid the wreckage of a racetrack mishap and Paltrow as Pepper Potts doing what she does best, looking like the pinnacle of professionalism behind an office desk.

"I don't think anyone expected how big the first ['Iron Man'] was going to be," Paltrow told USA Today, where the pictures premiered. "Now we have kind of a family, a friendship, which is good because the pressure is on us to deliver again." Read More...
