Adrian PasdarOnce a hero, always a hero. That’s how it’s turning out for former “Heroes” actors Adrian Pasdar and Milo Ventimiglia, who were just picked to voice Iron Man and Wolverine respectively in two upcoming animated series.

That news and more came out of last weekend’s WonderCon event in San Francisco, which featured a panel led by Marvel’s Head of Television Jeph Loeb.

“Adrian and Milo are perfect as Iron Man and Wolverine,” said Loeb (via ScreenRant). “It’s extremely exciting to see these talented guys take on two of the most iconic super-hero roles of all time.”

HeroesIt wasn't long ago that "Heroes" was considered one of television's most entertaining shows, but the superhero series suffered a staggering dip in quality that ultimately led to its cancellation after only four seasons.

There's no shortage of theories as to why "Heroes" met the fate that it did, and series creator Tim Kring himself is weighing in with an explanation that has ties to "The Walking Dead."

"A zombie series called 'The Walking Dead' just launched here, which was a huge success because it was good quality — but also because it was only six episodes long," Kring said in an interview with Metro (via Blastr). "People knew it wasn't a huge time commitment. It gave it more of a sense of an event rather than a series that would go on for years and years." Read More...

HeroesLast week, word broke that "Heroes" had been canceled by NBC after four seasons. And while the series is over, "Heroes" creator Tim Kring has expressed his interest in keeping the franchise alive in some fashion.

"I personally have had 12 great years with my friends at NBC, and with ‘Heroes,’ they provided me a rare opportunity to put a message of hope, interconnectivity and global consciousness into the world," said Kring in statement released on The Hollywood Reporter. "For that I am grateful and look forward to finalizing our discussion about a number of ways to keep the ‘Heroes’ universe alive for its fans.”

While there have been rumors that "Heroes" may return as a TV movie or miniseries, nothing has currently been confirmed. Read More...

HeroesAfter NBC officially announced that “Heroes” had been canceled, fans immediately began putting together “Bring Back Heroes” petitions, and even trending the topic on Twitter for a few hours.

According to many reports, not even a television movie was discussed at NBC’s upfronts in New York City on Monday, so it appears the show’s future is all but sealed.

But is it?

“Heroes” was as close as most networks get to airing a comic book on television. In addition, NBC filled in the gaps between episodes and added backstory to most of it’s characters via the "Heroes" webcomic, two volumes of which have already been collected by DC Comics’ Wildstorm imprints, with a third on the way. All of this begs the question: Could the show continue in that format? Read More...

HeroesIt looks like NBC might do the one thing Sylar never could: eliminate the "Heroes."

According to New York Magazine there are indications that "Heroes" will not be brought back for a fifth season. While there have been rumors that "Heroes" would return with 13 new episodes to wrap up the series, the latest report indicates that NBC is very happy with their upcoming programming slate and notes that the network has already placed orders for five new series in the fall.

However, the report also indicates that "Heroes" might return as a two or four-hour movie to give the fans of the series some closure. Although it also mentions that NBC has yet to bring up this possibility to "Heroes" creator Tim Kring. Read More...

HeroesDespite a widely embraced first season, NBC's "Heroes" has steadily declined both in ratings and critical approval to the point that it now faces cancellation. What exactly happened to cause such a fall? To answer that question, there's no one better to ask than Tim Kring, the show's creator.

In a recent interview with The A.V. Club, Kring spoke about some of the superhero drama's most criticized elements, including an inability to kill off certain characters due to network interference.

"It becomes very hard to kill off certain characters," he said. "The network has a very strong say in this, because of actors who are under contract and do publicity for them. It's not just up to the writers to decide." Read More...

Adrian PasdarLast month, some controversy arose in the "Heroes" department following word that a male series regular — one who had been with the show since its first season — would be unceremoniously written off at some point in the near future.

After weeks of fan speculation, Deadline Hollywood Daily has let the cat out of the bag that the soon-to-be-deceased character is none other than flight-worthy politician Nathan Petrelli, played by actor Adrian Pasdar. It's hard to classify the news as a spoiler, particularly considering Petrelli's death at the end of the last season... and the season before that... and the season before that.

To date, the ill-fated senator has gone through more deaths than any one super-man should have to endure. Here are all of the ones that I can remember—head to the comments and let me know if I'm missing any. Read More...

Ali LarterDuring a press event for "Obsessed," the thriller that premiered this weekend featuring Idris Elba, Beyonce and Ali Larter, Splash Page was afforded the chance to play the "What If?" game yet again with a little-known casting decision that could have made a dramatic difference in a well-known film.

According to Larter, the blonde "Heroes" star was once up for the role of another super-powered character: Susan Storm in 2005's "Fantastic Four." While director Tim Story eventually went with Jessica Alba for the character, Larter had no problem offering up her own thoughts on almost landing the role.

"Yeah, I auditioned for it," Larter told MTV News. "They went with Jessica Alba, which is a totally different thing." Read More...

In what can only be described as art imitating life, tonight on "Heroes" -- part one of the multi-part "The Eclipse" storyline -- noted celebrity comic geeks Seth Green and his buddy Breckin Meyer play the role of, well, geeks, who run a comic book shop. In this quick clip, while giving a shout-out to "Red Hulk," the two soon realize that a real-life superhero has ominously dropped by the store.

Look closely, and not only will you catch a wall of geek swag, but Meyer's also sporting a t-shirt bearing the name of a comic Green is very closely related to. And if you've got 20 seconds to spare, check out the clip below for a preview of their comics cameo!

Yep, that's right: it's Green and Hugh Sterbakov's original series, "The Freshmen" -- which might be headed for more on-screen time down the road!

Still watching "Heroes?" What are you thoughts on this season so far? Talk about it in the comments.

'Berserker'Everyone, look out. Milo Ventimiglia has officially gone "Beserk."

As the actor's foray into comics continues via his production company DiVide Pictures, the man you know as Peter Petrelli has been using all his powers to get out a new title, about a group of people seemingly unconnected to each other who discover, unbeknowst-to-them, they had been born with hidden abilities. No "Heroes"-ripoff here -- the hidden power here is to kill, and the comic is called "Beserker" from Top Cow Publishing.

You'd think the ability to go really aggro could be a boon -- but one character, Ferris Jorn, who is trying to get back to his life after being in the military in Afghanistan, is having extreme difficulty. "You can't make a distinction between enemies and comrades," Ventimiglia said. "Imagine you're being pushed over the edge. You're at the height at an adrenal rush. Your veins are bulging. Your blood is moving. And you can't control it -- not even around your loved ones. You will rip them to shreds. It's an extreme and uncontrollable rage." Read More...
