Human TargetEpisode Title: "The Wife's Tale"

Story: Christopher Chance (Mark Valley) is ready to take on his first case post-Ilsa Pucci (Indira Varma), but his normal routine of snarking off and playing around with his clients gets a grimmer coat of paint when the security contractor is tasked with cleaning up a mistake he made in the past. Human TargetEpisode Title: "Ilsa Pucci"

Written By: Matt Miller

Story: Following the capture of former police officer Laverne Winston (Chi McBride) at the conclusion of last year's season finale, Christopher Chance (Mark Valley) and his shady partner Guerrero (Jackie Earle Haley) take it upon themselves to rescue their old friend. But Chance takes Winston's kidnapping very personally, so much so that he ultimately decides to retire from his high risk industry for good.

Permanence is a fleeting thing, however, as billionaire philanthropist Ilsa Pucci (Indira Varma) comes to Chance requesting his specific skill set as a security contractor. Although he's initially uninterested in the job, all it takes is the promise of some cash and a helicopter ride to lure Chance out of hiding and back onto the playing field. Read More...

With this weekend's premiere of "Human Target" fast approaching, we've introduced you to the television series' three main characters over the last few days.

Mark Valley explained why the series' hero, Christopher Chance, is a little different than his comics counterpart, while Chi McBride found a colorful way to explain his character's role in the team. The third member of the team, however, should be a familiar face to comics fans: "Watchmen" actor Jackie Earle Haley, who plays Guerrero.

"Guerrero's not in the comic book, but he's this really cool supporting character to Chance," Haley told MTV News. "He's the go-to guy for information, so he's got some corporate expertise, but there's something a little unhinged about him, too. There's kind of a dangerous quality to this guy that we're going to be examining." Read More...

SinestroShortly after receiving an Oscar nomination for "Little Children," the Internet began buzzing with fans insisting that Jackie Earle Haley would make an ideal Rorschach in the "Watchmen" movie. When "Watchmen" hit theaters, many fans began lobbying for Haley to become the new Freddy Krueger.

Now, with "A Nightmare on Elm Street" in the can, Haley showed up to Saturday's Spike TV "Scream Awards" having just learned about another possible gig from the Internet: playing the supervillain Sinestro in "Green Lantern."

"I just heard about this, literally," Haley told MTV News of an anonymously sourced report on Ain't It Cool News claiming he will be offered the role of arch-enemy to Ryan Reynolds' Hal Jordan in the soon-to-shoot blockbuster. Read More...

He established his comics cred with "Watchmen," and now Jackie Earle Haley is moving right along to yet another comic book property, "Human Target." The actor graced Comic-Con with his presence today and naturally swung by the MTV studio for a fun interview. After it wrapped, we asked Earle to snap a self-portrait, and the result is below. Be sure to check out the rest of our photo booth gallery, featuring Anna Faris, Neil Gaiman, Andy Samberg, Stan Lee and more.

Jackie Earle Haley"Watchmen" star Jackie Earle Haley might be busy bringing yet another dark, iconic character to the big screen in the new "Nightmare on Elm Street" reboot, but he still had time to talk comics with us when we caught up with the actor.

While Haley acknowledged that his role in the upcoming "Human Target" television series (based on the DC Comics series of the same name) is a new character, he said his presence in two properties making the jump from print to screen is only "somewhat of a coincidence." Read More...

Jackie Earle HaleyJackie Earle Haley has made quite the on-screen comeback starring as Rorschach in "Watchmen" and as Freddy Krueger in "Nightmare on Elm Street," so it only makes sense to wonder -- what's he doing on television?

To be fair, Haley's small screen arrival comes in the form of "Human Target," the new Fox series based on the DC comic book. Still, as some see network television as less reputable than film work, Haley's decision to star in the show might appear questionable. Apparently, it's not a notion lost on the actor himself. 'Human Target'Earlier this week we brought you the news that the pilot for a television series based on DC/Vertigo's "Human Target" so impressed Fox that the network ordered a full season of the series. Now we have our first peek at the episode that network execs seem to have such a high opinion of -- in the form of an image that popped up on the 'Net today.

The crew over at KryptonSite posted the new image (I've posted a smaller version of it here), which features actor Mark Valley ("Fringe") as Christopher Chance, the star of the series. Valley plays a bodyguard who provides clients with a unique form of protection: he pretends to be the endangered person in order to lure them out. Read More...

Jackie Earle HaleyFROM MOVIES BLOG: If you were ever skeptical about New Line remaking the classic horror film "Nightmare on Elm Street," your fears may be relieved by who they have cast to wield Freddy's finger knives. According to Variety, New Line has cast Jackie Earle Haley as the iconic slasher, Freddy Krueger.

Haley's name was on the wish list of many fans (including our own Larry Carroll), and the "Watchmen" actor even teased us with the possibility. "“I just have to say I have no idea; I’m so busy trying to still reconcile Rorschach. I’m curious about [‘Nightmare’], but I don’t know.”

Jackie Earle HaleyThe cast of "Watchmen" are clearly loyal to DC properties, whether they're on the big or small screen. Just last week, we confirmed that Jeffrey Dean Morgan had signed on to star in big screen adaptation "The Losers." Now Jackie Earle Haley has elected to remain in the DC/Warner Bros family by costarring in Fox's upcoming series "Human Target," joining Chi McBride ("Pushing Daisies") and Mark Valley ("Fringe").

Based on a DC series, "Human Target" follows Christopher Chance (played by Valley), a freelance detective and private bodyguard who serves his clients in a unique and dangerous way -- he impersonates them, using himself as a target to draw out whoever is threatening the life of his client.
