TintinConfusion and distress were popular sentiments in the feed last night. News out of Libya about Muammar Gaddafi's collapsing government had everyone's attention, but the comics industry received it's own shocker with word that the Arizona-based retail chain Atomic Comics was closing.

Kevin Smith and Joe Quesada sent warm thoughts out to Atomic, which has always been known for in-store signing events and convention appearances. (You've probably seen their van at some point.) "Rise of the Planet of the Apes" reviews are still coming in, too. Check out a couple of those and a concern about "The Adventures of Tintin: Secret of the Unicorn" after the jump.

True BloodThe "True Blood" premiere sent shockwaves through the Twittersphere last night, and shark-jumping accusations have been made. Fred Van Lente thinks the show just needs to be more honest about who its audience is though.

There was plenty stirring in the world of comics films, too, though. Joe Quesada announced that he'd be visiting a shoot for "The Avengers," and Steve Niles dropped a preview of an announcement coming this week about "Wake the Dead." Find out more about that, and check out where Rob Liefeld used to draw his X-Force layouts after the jump.

Game of ThronesAs you may recall, the Marvel crew was gearing up for an "Ultimate Spider-Man" cartoon retreat yesterday. They didn't share too much about what was discussed, but someone apparently commandeered Brian Michael Bendis' tweeting device and announced that he'd be leaving "Avengers." Bendis vowed to take all of his Twitter-equipped devices with him to the bathroom from here on out.

In other posting, HBO's "Game of Thrones" series had an unexpected impact on Damon Lindelof, according to a post from him. Check out what that was about, as well as how Ed Brubaker feels about "Hobo with a Shotgun" and what Tim Seeley had to say about "Priest." It's all retweeted down below.

WonderConBrian Michael Bendis and Joe Quesada both took to their Twitter accounts to get jazzed for their "Ultimate Spider-Man" animated series meeting today, and from the look of their tweets, Bendis' iPad is going to be the real star of the show when everyone sits down.

Meanwhile at Wrestlemania, Rey Mysterio grabbed the comics industry's attention with his Captain America outfit. Jill Thompson and Jamal Igle both got into the spirit of the night, though Raven Gregory sounded like he was less than impressed. You, however, will be impressed by some of the artwork that showed up in the feed from WonderCon. A J. Scott Campbell Wonder Woman and Ryan Ottley Slave Leia await you after the jump, along with a photo op with Lara Croft.

ThorTwitter brought the best of news and the absolute worst of news over the last 24 hours, with encouraging words about the "Thor" movie, but also word that Montreal-based artist Clement Sauvé passed away. Joe Quesada reported that he was tearing up in a good way while watching Marvel's new film, while info about Sauvé, who's best known for his work on DC Comics' "Human Defense Corps," triggered shocked posts from around the industry.

"30 Rock" was the hot topic of the night in TV-watching tweets Thursday. David Gallaher, R. Stevens and Brian Michael Bendis all enjoyed the show in various ways, which you'll see laid out below. They're right above Eric Powell's fighting words in support of creator-owned comics, so click on down and sound off in response as you please.

Joe Quesada artworkAlan Moore was a hot topic yesterday, but no one in the discussion about his controversial opinions went quite as far as artist Mark Brooks did last night.

As far as my own opinions go, Chris Ryall tweeted one of the most exciting messages of the day Thursday; I don't know what he's hiding, but if Geof Darrow made it, I want to see it.

Corey Lewis, meanwhile, wants you to see "The Fighter," and Kevin Smith does not want you to see his new movie "Red State" while under the influence of marijuana. Smith's explanation and some killer Joe Quesada artwork can be found down below.

Huckleberry FinnA new, censored edition of Mark Twain's "Adventures of Huckleberry Finn" got classic literature fans speaking their minds on Twitter this week; that crowd includes Kurt Busiek, who stepped up to his account with a few suggestions for the book's publisher.

In Marvel's news, Axel Alonso and Tom Brevoort's editorial promotions got a lot of attention yesterday. Brevoort would prefer that everyone focus on his colleague, though, and said as much in a post. Joe Quesada, meanwhile, seems to be just as busy as ever. Find out why after the jump, along with who wants you to know that it's okay to crying during "The Iron Giant" and who's denying responsibility for all of those dead birds in Arkansas.

Joe QuesadaAlthough Guillermo Del Toro and David Eick have both confirmed their work on a new "Hulk" television project, the series isn't officially official yet — at least not according to Joe Quesada.

The Marvel Entertainment chief creative officer spoke with Comic Book Resources about the company's upcoming plans for Marvel TV. When asked about rumors of the new "Hulk" show and a possible "Cloak and Dagger" series on ABC Family, Quesada declined to comment on "anything that we haven't formally announced or on anything in the rumor mill."

That said, Quesada did have plenty of thoughts to share on the overall goals of Marvel TV, including the thought processes that go into deciding which Marvel characters are best suited for a television series. Read More...

As Marvel Entertainment's chief creative officer and editor-in-chief of Marvel Comics, Joe Quesada has been at the forefront of the Marvel brand for the past ten years. But even as he occupies the leadership role for a new generation of Marvel readers, there are shoes out there that Quesada won't even attempt to fill — namely, the shoes belonging to Stan Lee.

Actively involved in the Marvel Studios film slate, Quesada still has yet to make a cameo appearance in "Iron Man" or any other number of Marvel movies — and according to the editor-in-chief, he wants that gig to remain Stan's.

"That's Stan Lee's gig," Quesada told MTV News at New York Comic Con. "That's Stan's thing. I don't think anybody wants to see me — they want to see Stan." Read More...

Marvel Studios have very carefully laid the groundwork for "The Avengers," sowing the seeds in past pictures like "Iron Man" and "The Incredible Hulk" and upcoming endeavors such as "Thor" and "Captain America." But while the Marvel movie universe has thrived on the big screen, further stories set within this continuity could unfold somewhere else: the comic book page.

"We're actually working on some interesting ways of marketing the Marvel cinematic universe — I guess the MCU, we could call it," Marvel Comics editor-in-chief Joe Quesada told MTV News at New York Comic Con. "We know the stories that we want to tell, and for the uninitiated, the MCU are going to be stories set within movie continuity." Read More...
