Marvel Editor-In-Chief Joe Quesada and “New Avengers” writer Brian Michael Bendis have offered first hand accounts of their recent visit to the set of director Kenneth Branagh’s adaptation of “Thor.”
“I could listen to Branagh talk about ‘Thor’ all day long,” related Quesada on Twitter. “Cast is in place, sets are being built and screenplay is brilliant. Marveldom rules!”
Meanwhile, Bendis added on his own Twitter that “Thor movie meeting with Ken Branagh was over the top amazing. Visited the sets! I was in Odin's chamber!” Read more...
Simon Pegg tweeted an impassioned appreciation for "V for Vendetta" today in honor of Guy Fawkes Day, proving that he has not forgotten the 5th November. Also not forgetting were Jill Thompson, Neil Kleid and a few other I couldn't fit in.
Jon Favreau, it seems, didn't have time to commemorate anything last night, as he was hard at work editing "Iron Man 2." If he was following Joe Quesada or Matt Fraction, however, he probably kept up on the game's details just fine. Scope out all of those posts below, along with a new Jim Lee page and Geoff Johns' mystery project that he wants to work with Greg Rucka on.

Even Joe Quesada's temporary backing couldn't net the New York Yankees a a Game 1 win in the World Series last night. The Marvel EiC, David Gallaher and others were tweeting along with the first night of Major League Baseball's championship final round, watching the Phillies snag a relatively easy win in the end.
And speaking of win, Whilce Portacio's recently posted Wolverine sketch is full of it. Dan Slott, meanwhile, used his feed to express outrage over the changes happening with "Scrubs" going into next season. You can check out what they had to say along with with which comic book writer got mistaken for a "Batman" screenwriter at his bank and Halloween costume advice from Jeff Parker.

Epic competitions abounded last night as the Yankees bested the Angels to win yet another World Series appearance. New Yorker and Marvel EIC Joe Quesada was so overcome with hometown pride that he's even forsaken his allegiance to the Mets for the duration of the MLB post season, according to his tweets.
Meanwhile, on the Internet, "Adventures of Dr. McNinja" creator Chris Hastings was involved in a cutthroat contest of voting, wherein his super-cute dog Commissioner Jim Gordon might have won him $1 million. He seemed to have the backing of nearly every webcomic creator on Twitter, that's for sure. Check out who was behind him, as well as the problem Mike Oliveri has with "New Moon" werewolves, which artist Andy Diggle is planning a new creator-owned series with and whether Gail Simone will ever want to write for Marvel again.

The New York Yankees and the Philadelphia Phillies are officially going head-to-head in this year's World Series, causing folks from all walks of life to root for one baseball team or the other—in fact, even the heroes of the Marvel Universe are taking sides.
Earlier in the season, Marvel Comics editor-in-chief Joe Quesada spoke with MLB.com about the various baseball franchises competing for a shot at the World Series title, which has now been whittled down to the Yankees and the Phillies.
According to Quesada, the two characters in the Marvel Universe that would most easily be identified as Yankees fans are Wolverine and the Thing. Read more...
The 2011 release date for "The First Avenger: Captain America" inches ever closer as 2009 enters its home stretch, and the key release for Marvel's "Avengers" film franchise looks like it has editor-in-chief Joe Quesada's approval thus far. Quesada wouldn't reveal which actors are in line to play Captain America, but he did predict surprises and offered his initial impression of the script at Big Apple Comic Con last weekend.
"I've seen a couple of outlines and an initial screenplay, and it's going to rock everyone's socks off," told his panel's audience, according to Comic Book Resources. "It's very unexpected, the kind of movie it is." Read more...
I don't have to tell any of you who read the Twitter Report regularly that Andy Diggle and Jock have been two of the busiest tweeters in the worlds of comics and Hollywood over the last few months. Just look at Jock's tweet that he's starting yet another movie project while wrapping up "Judge Dredd" script visuals. Diggle, meanwhile, pleaded to his followers yesterday to petition DC for a hardcover edition of "The Losers" before the movie hits next year.
Also yesterday, baseball fans and non-baseball fans in our feed were watching the Twins/Tigers game, Joe Quesada and Frank Tieri among them. Check out their colorful commentary along with Mark Waid's micro-review of "Zombieland," Jamie McKelvie's fan moment with Edgar Wright, and Stan Lee's new superhero concept.

You may or may not have been keeping up with the giant robots that have been built outside in Japan this year, but Joe Quesada has been, and he has his own idea for what the U.S. should do to compete.
And speaking of competition, Brett Favre's grudge match against the Green Bay Packers brought out the football fan in much of the Twittersphere last night—as well as some lively commentary from Jason Aaron and B. Clay Moore. It's all in my retweet mix list below, along with Stan Lee on "Curb Your Enthusiasm," Jim Lee with some "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2" artwork and "Halo" art from Todd McFarlane.

"Mad Men" and "30 Rock" may have won big at the Emmy Awards ceremony Sunday, but Neil Patrick Harris got Mark Waid's pick for performance of the night. Meanwhile, Jon Hamm, star of the night's Outstanding Drama Series winner, got a nod from Rob Liefeld in a tweet calling him an ideal candidate to star in "The First Avenger: Captain America."
Amid the other Emmy and NFL tweets that flew around Sunday, Jock updated on his "Judge Dredd" work and "Losers" set visit plans, adding that he's going to be drawing Jeffrey Dean Morgan for a charity event. Elsewhere, Jimmy Palmiotti called for a moratorium on vampire-genre tales, and Chris Staros lavished praise on the Windy City Comicon show in Chicago.
Check out all of those posts, as well as memorial note from Joe Quesada and which "Losers" creator had a meeting with Marvel today. It's in the Twitter Report for September 21, 2009. Read more...

Some comics folks are stoked about "The Beatles: Rock Band." Some are less so, but I kick-started today's Twitter Report playlist with perspectives from Brian Reed and Chris Ryall, so you can see which side they're on.
The Fab Four weren't the only ones generating tweet commentary over the last 24 hours, though. I'm actually more excited about watching Rob Liefeld and Jeff Katz tweet about the new "Melrose Place" series than I am about any actual TV shows right now.
There was also a rare tweet from "Achewood" creator Chris Onstad, who's looking to coordinate costumes with Tony Millionaire for an upcoming appearance.
