Green LanternThe color green turned on Hal Jordan recently when "Green Lantern" had to pull out of its Australian shooting locations due to economic issues—but it appears that a new location may already be locked in for the DC Comics adaptation, and it's not Mexico as some had guessed.

According to The Times-Picayune, "Green Lantern" could very well lens in New Orleans, Louisiana. The manager of studio operations at the New Orleans-based Second Line Stages reported that producers for "Green Lantern" have contacted him about the studio space, and that "'Green Lantern' production offices could be set up in town as early as this week."

If the move pans out, it's great to hear that "Green Lantern" has already bounced back with a new location. Still, that's not the only interesting bit of news buried in the Times-Picayune's article, which posits an interesting rumor about DC's on-screen plans for a "Justice League" movie. Read more...

Justice LeagueEven though most fans have quietly given up on George Miller's would-be Justice League film over the past year or so, Hollywood certainly hasn't forgotten about Warner Bros.' flagship superhero property—especially now that DC Entertainment has been formed to specifically serve those interests.

Case in point: A recent Risky Biz Blog post regarding the yet-to-be released "Sherlock Holmes" movie mentions a writing team Splash Page readers may remember.

According to the blog, Warner Bros. plans to have, "Kieran and Michele Mulroney, the scribes who are penning its 'Justice League: Mortal' tentpole" write a "Sherlock" sequel. Read more...

Dc Entertainment - JLANow that the heroes of the DC Universe might receive some extra attention thanks to the newly developed DC Entertainment, could some of the company's highly-anticipated, yet unproduced superhero films finally see some movement?

DC Entertainment President Diane Nelson recently told Comic Book Resources about her desire to prioritize several DC properties including "Superman," "Wonder Woman," "Justice League" and more.

But a production company can only churn out so many movies in a given time—so where should they look first? Read more...

Adam BrodyIn some alternate universe, perhaps Adam Brody did get to play The Flash. Maybe the “Justice League” movie did get filmed in summer 2008 rather than abandoned at the last moment, and maybe Common and the other stars did a pretty good job and our alternate selves are watching the results right around now.

Unfortunately, the Adam Brody of our universe never got to play Barry Allen, and is convinced he never will. But he did suit up—once.

“I put it on once, yeah,” remembered the affable 29-year-old actor when we caught up with him recently, a respectful whisper in his tone as he remembered the day he slipped into the Flash suit and thought he might be the first man to ever play the role in a film. “It was such a preliminary version that it wasn’t quite cool yet. It was only kinda nerdy.” Read more...

Teresa PalmerWhile we're not suggesting you hold your breath waiting to see George Miller's live-action "Justice League" movie, that doesn't mean we're not intrigued with the fact that such a film almost happened -- and taking every opportunity possible to find out more about it.

At a recent press event for "The Sorcerer's Apprentice," MTV News spoke to actress Teresa Palmer, who was once the rumored front-runner to play Talia Al Ghul in "Justice League: Mortal" before a host of issues stalled the project indefinitely. While Palmer confirmed that she was -- and still is -- tagged to play the daughter of Batman villain Ra's Al Ghul, that was where her certainty ended about any aspect of the film. Read more...

Jessica BielSince 2004’s “Blade: Trinity,” one of Jessica Biel’s co-stars, Wesley Snipes, has been convicted of tax evasion, while another, Ryan Reynolds, has played a mutant in “X-Men Origins: Wolverine” and been granted his own “Deadpool” spin-off movie. But where’s Biel headed? Would she ever dive back into the world of comic books -- as Wonder Woman, perhaps, as was rumored a few years ago?

The answer is yes.

“If Wonder Woman had the right script and it was really powerful and emotional and interesting, I would be into that kind of thing,” Biel told MTV News while she was promoting her upcoming 1920s comedy of manners, “Easy Virtue.” Read more...

'Flash'If you’re a comic book fan, a movie fan, or pretty much anybody with a pulse, it was hard to not have an immediate opinion when the news broke that “Night at the Museum” filmmaker Shawn Levy had been handed the keys to “The Flash” movie at Warner Bros. Barely eight months later, he was just as quickly gone from the project.

What happened in-between? And why was Levy’s controversial involvement with the film every bit as speedy as the fastest man alive? For the answers, I went straight to the source. Read more...

'Justice League of America'"The Dark Knight" was a proven success, both critically and financially. If fan reaction can be believed, Warner Bros. seems to be pushing all the right buttons for an upcoming "Green Lantern" feature film to follow suit. Mention a "Superman" revamp, a "Wonder Woman" casting rumor or the latest scuttlebutt on Marvel's sure-to-be-geekgasmic "Avengers" project, and watch the message boards light up.

Clearly fans want to see what would arguably be the Holy Grail of comic book flicks, "Justice League," but given all of the news lately regarding a possible "JLA" flick being delayed indefinitely, should we even bother getting our hopes up? Attached director George Miller thinks so...just don't hold your breath. Read more...

'Justice League'Hey, remember when we told you about those reports that director George Miller had parted ways with the live-action "Justice League" movie? Well, the reports of that relationship's demise seem to have been greatly exaggerated -- and the "Mad Max" director remains at the helm of the troubled "Justice League" film.

After Dark Horizons reported yesterday that Miller told a Sydney news outlet he was no longer connected with the Warner Bros project, the report disappeared mysteriously from the movie site a few hours later. The crew at ComingSoon.net later posted some clarification they received from one of Miller's representatives. Read more...

'Justice League'The saga of the live-action "Justice League" movie seems to have hit yet another snag, as Australian filmmaker George Miller now appears to have severed any ties with the on-again, off-again project. According to Dark Horizons, Miller told a Sydney morning show earlier today that he is no longer involved in "Justice League" in any capacity.

Back in September, we heard from the film's Batman actor, Armie Hammer, just a few weeks after news surfaced that Australian actress/model Megan Gale was cast as Wonder Woman. However, now it seems that casting might have played a role in the film's troubles, as Miller reportedly told the show's audience that if the film was ever going to be made, it would likely be recast because "the studios seem to want bigger stars in their superhero movies now."

On a side note, the "Mad Max" director added that he would like to work with Mel Gibson again at some point -- which could mean our hopes for a Martian Manhunter played by Gibson could be inching ever closer to becoming reality.

Are you disappointed about Miller's departure? Do you think this film will ever be made? Sound off in the comment section!
